  1. Nah. Probably just going through a list of who doesn't have a cruise booked, but now I have 4 on Princess booked without the help of a planner. Sometimes I have at least that many on hold until they expire. No doubt someone is collecting the data.
  2. I would hate for you to break the rules, so please don't. 🙃
  3. I would say don't ask, don't tell. If you ask Carnival if you can put more people in a cabin than it is rated for, I suspect they will say no, if for no other reason than the number of available life jackets and capacity of muster stations.
  4. As cheap as gambler's cabins are, they wouldn't lose much, if anything, and depending on the cabin, they could upgrade someone who respects the rules and who would appreciate it. The deposits are non-refundable so Carnival keeps that. Even if empty, the casino might be on the hook to pay for it, anyway.
  5. I really don't have one at the moment. I need to find another one. Generally I prefer just booking myself, but I can see where there are advantages to having one. I didn't book anything through the one who didn't reply to my email so I don't fault them (much). I just picked a random email from Princess that had a CVP name at the botttom.
  6. I may have to get one of those. Actually I had one a while ago, but she moved on.
  7. I noticed a price reduction on a 2024 cruise I had booked on princess.com and emailed one of my alleged Princess planners - I get emails all the time that claim that. No response after days. Crickets. So I called the main Princess number and went through the robots to indicate I needed help with an existing booking. I am glad I didn't have to sit on hold forever - I could select to have them call me back and after a while, they did. I told them I wanted the better price. They indicated they would have to check as some fares are only for new bookings, and after being on hold off and on, she said she could do it. So our cruise price (and insurance) was adjusted for a savings of over $400. The airfare and transfers weren't affected. And now I also have $100 OBC because of some promotion they have going on. That will buy a lot of pizza. We'll still buy a package once on the ship.
  8. When I checked in for an upcoming cruise they reminded me: " Reminder! To expedite check-in and minimize waiting, all guests must board together during the selected arrival appointment window." Do they really check? Do you feel lucky? A gambler would understand.
  9. I've said before that I think Princess is the most transparent of any cruise line on how the gratuities are treated. They put it in writing. Princess is not making a profit off of the gratuities. The "admin fee" is "net of credit card transaction fees". That might raise a question of those who have cash accounts onboard (does anyone?) if credit card transaction fees are removed from those? I am firmly against punishing hard working employees for a corporate action I don't agree with. It is no fault of the employees.
  10. I found the buffet on any Carnival ship to be as good, if not better than what I experienced on Celebrity Infinity a few months ago. New ships on any cruise line tend to be larger with more food venues.
  11. I'll let you know if I'm ever included. 🙂
  12. Princess has additional perks for those with the most cruise days on each cruise. Better than giving them to everyone or adding levels - more sustainable.
  13. Maybe, maybe not. The offers require the person with the offer to sail.
  14. I'm sure there were many upset customers when Carnival Corp bought Princess, yet Princess survives. I'm pretty sure this too will pass.
  15. There would have to be a cabin available for me to check prices, no? I could rebook, and likely swap cabins after.
  16. Princess could add $5xavg room services to cruise fares, but I think a point is also to reduce costs and demand on overworked staff. I know I a missing why a slight inconvenience is such a big deal? If the issue is the app is deficient, it seems to me most cruise lines IT departments are nothing to brag about. The Princess app is better than some.
  17. So basically eliminate the program? Fine with me. Laundry is a fine example that is limited by capacity. Is it better to eliminate or to let the turnaround time grow? If people can't get same day service will they send less out? The issue solved itself
  18. Airlines are in the transportation business and business travelers are responsible to the majority of profits. There is no relation to cruise lines in the vacation business. Has Elite lost laundry service or a stocked mini-bar? and not sure how that relates to suites?
  19. This makes sense. When you open a booking, it generally does reprice everything. Thank you.
  20. Then I would cancel and rebook. That makes no sense, but if Princess wants the additional overhead, I can oblige.
  21. I haven't heard any complaints from people insisting they pay for included venues that cost extra on other ships. When the entire ship is priority, no venue is big enough.
