  1. The local islander in Hilo told us WM had just stopped the Roberts bus because they didn’t want to pay for it anymore. We took the free bus to the Market Place in downtown Hilo and shopped a little instead.
  2. Yes, I agree. What if you wait to buy the beverage package once OB? Would it be better then, to buy on Day 2? No sales tax? 🤔
  3. When you board, you will see a table and sign in the Piazza, where you can sign up for the package. The nice thing is, that the employee gets commission. Or, you can do it on the App too. Everywhere you go, there’s an ad or opportunity to buy it. No reason to stand in line at GS.
  4. Yes, when you come back, go to an agent PCL near the checkmin area and show them your in transit card. They will send you up the escalator to the waiting area. Then if they have a transit line, you go there until they call you, or ask an agent, where to go to get back on the ship. Hopefully, you can just go back on. If not, you wait until called.
  5. They do apply sales taxes for California and Hawaii ports if you order anything from the bar or barista’s IF you do not have a package. Don’t know about the beverage package.
  6. Facial recognition. But, if you had a problem and not turned green…you would have to show your PP. We only had 16 of us.
  7. Oh no! No excuse now, because they can track you with the OM. SP port, I think you’re better off getting off the ship, go shopping or exploring and then back on as as an in transit. IDK
  8. So, you didn’t go back to the check in area…Berth 93, through security and all that stuff? Your ship handled it the way it should have been handled. Your ship might have been on a 90 day full immigration time, when all the crew members have to get off and go through immigration. We have done so many b2b’s and the best has been PE. Once we had 500 b2b’s and it was handled much better. Oh Well… time to let it go!🥴
  9. On Monday, there was not an in transit line. Just security for everyone. The security agent’s were screaming at everyone. It was so disorganized. We were not escorted. I’m hoping this is not the normal for all ships.
  10. I agree with others on b2b procedures in SP. However, 3 days ago, there was only an escort off the ship, not any further. On our own, we went through immigration, facial recognition and had to find the entrance/checkin door, berth 93…through 100’s of disembarking guests on the sidewalk. At the checkin area, we showed them our in transit card, escalator up to security, then chaos! No separate areas for in-transit, elites, etc. Security and the Port employees were screaming at everyone to sit down. Finally, a PCL rep from GS showed up and I recognized him and asked him to get the 16 b2b’s in a line to board first. The port employee was going to let the 781 elite’s on first..they were not b2b. It was a big mess, but they stopped the Elite boarding and let the b2b’s on. We will not do a b2b here again. PE, SF and other areas of the world have been so much easier. We’ve always just been escorted back on the ship, in a sterile area, once it has been cleared. This was the Sapphire. I was really surprised no one escorted us or helped us. SMH
  11. Asked at the IC Sapphire and no sugar free flavorings at the coffee bar. You might state the ship you’re going on and someone could check.
  12. Who controls the volume on the ships? We asked the Director of GS to lower the mics.
  13. We did and they said they had to give us a cake, even though we’d prefer the SD dessert. They didn’t sing though. Such world problems. 😂
  14. Depends… They said, we are celebrating your anniversary and we will bring a cake and sing! Sabatini’s… This was the Sapphire last week.
  15. 😆 Most of the noise starts at 9 or 930 in the Piazza. We plan our day around the games and noise. Getting harder to do. Retreat to the balcony!
  16. You do get a Princess cake. Chocolate with mousse and they do sing. We went and they brought the cake, even though I said no cake and don’t sing. They wrapped the cake and we took it to the cabin.
  17. We just carry masking/painters tape and put over the sensors. Works and doesn’t leave residue. Many ships have it now, after dry dock. 🥴
  18. Or, as the Patter/App says…. “relaxing” afternoon events! 🤣
  19. We tried with the sound man on the Enchanted, it was lowered a little, but the next set was right back up. Always a pet peeve of ours.
  20. Zumba, line dance, etc is in the piazza on Royal class where the piazza is bigger. The smaller ships or Grand, it’s more like in club fusion.
  21. I hope all of you complained on your survey. It is bad on every ship we habe been on. Worse on the Enchanted/Sky, as the piazzas are even bigger and constant games, dancing, etc. Even crew complained, they couldn’t hear the orders. The Sapphire is a smaller ship and less games going on with screaming, but when the singer or guitarist takes a break, they turn their backup, prerecorded music to a high volume. We just leave.
  22. Yes and the crew member that sells it OB, usually around the IC/Piazza area will get commission on the sale. Just verified that on the Sapphire. As opposed to buying it on the App.
  23. Also, even though you are green again, sometimes a few days before sailing, you may go back to blue again, then about 3 days before, back to Green with a QR code. Just ignore the IT changes back and forth.
  24. You should automatically be an Elite after your first cruise. It should be reflected. You do not get a new OM, if you are B2B on the same ship. It will automatically reflect your B2B cruise. We did this same thing and on the next cruise, it already reflected the Elite status. You can always check with the Loyalty host or GS. NP
