You don’t have to stand in line. You can call GS or do crew chat and they will remove the charge. May be ship dependent. We did see a charge on our account a couple of times a year ago after the restart. But, nothing in the last few cruises this past year. We love the OM and it’s ease of use OB. Hope it works out better for you next time. What ship did you have these problems with?

Working on Sapphire also. Not ever crowded there. 2-3 couples maybe.

Yes, I have seen that on Hawaiian and S Pacific cruises. Most on this cruise have a nice shirt and slacks, some with Jackets. But, aloha shirts or tropical shirts are considered dress shirts in Hawaii. Just be comfortable and enjoy your cruise.

According to the manager at the Alfredo’s reduced menu on the Sapphire…one person CAN order $14.99 meal and the other does not have to use their free meal. He said to tell the person checking you In at Alfredo’s, tbat you are using only 1 free $14.99 meal. He said also 1 could use the $14.99 meal and another just buy something a la carte, like pizza, App or dessert. The waiter told me the opposite, so I would check with the manager of the CD restaurant on whatever ship you’re on.

Check the machine first, as some of the ships have been free. If not, scan your medallion for tokens in the laundrette. The USS Iowa opens at 10 am and yes you could check your bag’s first. We checked our bags at 0930 and went inside to checkin at 1000 and then to the lounge. We boarded about 1050. The tour takes about 2 hours or more, depends if you want to read everything. We wouldn’t do that, because we like to board early, do the muster, eat lunch, etc. But that’s just us. 🥴 Lobster night is 2nd and 3rd formal night OB the Sapphire. Oct 24 & Oct 28. So don’t know yet. South Pacific cruises are more laid back than some other cruise areas. Slacks and shirt NP. Women may need a sweater or wrap in the Piazza, as it’s a little chilly. MDR not too bad.

We had similar problems with the sound In the huge piazza on the Enchanted and asked the sound guy to lower the volume in the piazza area. It did help a little. Otherwise, it was difficult to have a conversation. The mics for the bands and singers were extremely loud. As well as the games.

That’s nice. The cabin across the hall from us also flooded their cabin. Little kids kept flushing the toilet, over and over. The people next door to them were moved. Don’t know if it was because of the overflow or the noise from the kids. 😳 We weren’t affected.

Update on this. The HNL walmart was open near Ala Moana mall. It’s about 4 blocks from the mall. Crew members reported they went yesterday to shop. Don’t know why we were told it was closed. Best to always recheck. We went to the mall and did our shopping at Longs/Cvs and ABC store. Thanks @scottca075 for telling me.

You’re right. We were told by it was closed. But, it was open yesterday, we later found out. I saw it on Google too. Thanks for clarifying. Spoke to crew members yesterday and they said it was open. About 4 blocks from Ala Moana mall.

Update! PCL returned our bottle of wine last night …..from HNL customs. No corkage fee. Other guests said they had their wine or champagne confiscated also and it was returned to them.

Once the cabin has been assigned, sometimes a cabin may be changed if it’s in the same category. Unless, your TA states differently. Of course, you would need to ask them.

Maybe a shift change now. We were asked in 2 places for our ID’s. The 2nd one said, you need need the original ID, not a copy. So, we were escorted through by a PCL agent. NP, just thought it was strange. The only place I carried my real PP off the ship was Russia.

I got the security agent, young man, clear blue eyes. Depends on who you get, I guess. Not going out again today.
