  1. No. You bring the amenities with you that you have booked now. You can get drinks in the Retreat included with a suite, but you will not get any other amenities with a sky suite. So in your example you will not get drinks or wifi and you will be charged for tips should your bid be successful. I will also admit, I've broken the "no question" rule of this thread so I'm sorry, but it seems minor clarifications have now been allowed.
  2. Not to step on Jim's reply, but if you want to make reservations for specific nights at specific times prior to boarding you'll need to book each night as an individual reservation and will probably lose any discount except the one for the first night. If you book the multi-night package you get a discount, but the trade off is you can't make reservations until you are onboard and then you'll be limited to what is still available. May not be an issue, but if you want to pick a certain restaurant, on a particular day and time (say Tuscan on a birthday at 5:30 to make the 7:00 show) you may want to give up the discount and book at full price before your sailing. If you have flexibility in the venue, date and time you should be fine with a multi-night package and making reservations when you board.
  3. No sore point @sleestack1 just an honest reply on the first thought that popped into my head when I saw your title. Maybe I should have included one of those thinking or unsure emoji faces to show my reply was somewhat light hearted.
  4. We have 5 trips booked now and are about 4 years away from retirement when we plan to sail for longer periods of time. I was envisioning those sailings would be on Celebrity. Traditionally we've sailed in suites so the price increases by Celebrity have been the biggest factor to us thus far, but because of that, 4 of our future sailings are not in a suite. While I'm not ready to switch cruise lines yet, I will wait to evaluate what else is changed and how these current changes affect us on our future non-suite sailings. At some point, even if I'm not affected much, how I feel about the company comes into my decision about if I want to continue buying from that company. If I think a company is making decisions that imply they don't care about their customer's, I'll look for a company that I feel appreciates it's customers.
  5. I'm beginning to ask the same question.
  6. I'm running version 11 on my Samsung tablet and the app seems to be working fine.
  7. I checked the menu on the Equinox for it's upcoming sailing and the charge for a second tail is listed on the MDR menu, but not on the Blu menu. Luminae has a completely different lobster dish, but no mention of an extra charge there either.
  8. CELEBRITY MOVE UP TRACKER (effective April 19, 2019; but can back-fill data, if available) Ship: Apex Length of Cruise: 7 Days Cruise Sail Date: March 18, 2023 Date email offer received: January 2, 2023 Captain’s Club Tier Elite Booked through Celebrity Direct OR via TA: Direct while onboard, transferred to TA later Current Cabin: Celebrity Suite Bid? Yes/No: Yes If YES - Bidding Details: Cabin Category: Bid on RS, EV, PH but not IS Bid Offer: Each varied Notification Date: Will update when notified Accepted / Rejected Will update when notified General Comments (offer details, etc.) Per Person Bid Ranges were: RS $1,000 to $2,500 Edge Villa $1,500 to $3,750 PS $2,000 to $5,000 Iconic Suite $7,000 to $17,500 I could have bid the max on all suites and my total of what I paid initially, plus the max bid would have been less than the current price listed on line. There are openings in all these levels
  9. Where you hear/read these "uncorrolaborated" reports? Personally I've never heard anything like that but if you let people know where you received this information it could help determine it's accuracy.
  10. With the recent actions Celebrity has taken (several items, not just the one that keeps getting deleted) it seems this is the right time to begin looking at Oceania and others not under the RCG umbrella. It's too bad, we were just expanding our sailing schedule and could see many more opportunities in the future. Oh well, maybe we'll calm down, or as someone else said (if it's true I can't say) LLP believes for every customer lost another one will come along. Not the best motto to build a business in my opinion. For now, exploring Oceania seems like a good alternative. Now I just need to find an alternative to Cruise Critic too 😉
  11. Well I got a call from Celebrity today and the representative started to tell me about a pricing mistake and how they can't honor that price that I booked at, but they have several options available to me blah blah blah... I cut him off and said I have a confirmed reservation that has been transferred to a Travel Agent and I have confirmation of that process being completed so if he has anything to discuss about my reservation he needs to call the TA, but I expect them to honor the reservation and price as it is currently. I then called my TA and told him what happened and said I'm looking forward to that trip and plan to go at the price they published. We'll see what happens. Anyone else get a call like that for this trip?
  12. It's a way's off, but we booked this cabin earlier in the week for a 10 day out of Rome in July of '24. We like the aft view and while the DV provides a big balcony and in the Caribbean any view is nice, we opted for the sunset in the Mediterranean to enjoy the sail away from all those hillside ports. Besides, after adding the AI package the price at the time we booked was only about $200 total more than the DV. Appreciate the insight from @wrk2cruise on this thread and for posting the updated chart, enjoy your trip next month!
  13. The example I have was a pricing error I'm sure, but last week I booked a NYE 4 night trip in a sunset concierge cabin for $840 AI, refundable total cabin price for 2. Two hours later the price was $2,830. Later that day it had shown up in my future cruises so I started the process to transfer it to my TA. Today I received notice it has been transferred so I'm pretty confident at this point that price will be honored and we'll be sailing the Caribbean for NYE in 2 years!
  14. look at her Instagram page. I've heard several times she posts that info there.
  15. As others have said, this was interesting. I appreciated the fact it was recorded and we could watch at any time, it wasn't so polished that it seemed like a commercial, but still had the nuances of a live production. The B2B2B segment was interesting. We'll never know, but I'd be interested to know how many people book all three legs on those sailings. I booked the middle leg on the Equinox earlier today so maybe I'll be able to find out some information about that when the sailing comes around. The Japan sailings look interesting, if I hadn't booked the above mentioned trip maybe we would have considered one. I just hope they have those B2B2B schedules a few years down the road when I have the flexibility to travel for that amount of time. I just hope I get the credit for watching. I'm still missing the 5 points from the New Zealand/Australia one back in September. I've sent in screen shots two months in a row and still haven't received credit. I've just given up now, and this time didn't even bother to take screen shots to document my viewing. Just becoming too big a battle if I don't get the credit automatically.
  16. I just booked a sunset concierge cabin on the Equinox in 2024 departing from Rome and I can confirm there is no 1 category upgrade available for this type of cabin. After you posted the chart this morning I decided the amount of OBC being offered for the type of cabins I was looking at (CC or SS) it wasn't worth waiting since the exact cabin we wanted was available now and we're not sailing for about 90 days. Ended up getting the last Sunset Concierge Class with the wider balcony. Figured with only a few sea days, a partially-revolutionized S class ship, and a price difference of $6,000 between the CC cabin and a sunset SS we could upgrade drinks and wifi, have a few nights of specialty dining and still have almost enough $ left over for a 7 night Caribbean cruise in the Retreat on a non-edge class ship.
  17. Last time we booked onboard (8 months ago) we were asked what type of booking we wanted, refundable or non. We were sailing in a suite and booking another one if that makes any difference I don't know.
  18. I know opinions will vary widely regarding departure fight timing so I'll try to ask a more specific question. How long is the travel time from port to airport? I'll factor in my ship departure method, transfer availability, airport check in process, unforseen problems and overall stress level I'm comfortable with. Thanks for your help!
  19. Does anyone have a current chart from a Daily which lists the OBC per category and length of cruise? I'm considering a few different options and wondering if I should just book now or roll the dice and wait until we're onboard. Everything I'm looking at is 10+ days so OBC could be large enough to consider waiting.
  20. Thanks for the reply, it sounds great! I'm wondering how it will be scheduled as the latest we're in a port is 6PM. Hope they don't make it a lunch.
  21. Thanks to @cbfb I booked this also for the $820 price. I called my TA and asked him to hold 4 more cabins so I could get some other couples to sign up. I kept checking the price because I knew it had to be an error and by 10:00AM CST it was no longer available. My TA said he wasn't able to book anything at that price and it's now $2,823 with AI and refundable deposit! I made sure I took screenshots of everything as I made the reservation and I have a confirmation from Celebrity with the All included code so hopefully they won't try to change things on us.
  22. Thanks for the reply George. As a point of clarification, Dinner on the Edge is what Celebrity calls a Specialty Dining dinner on the Magic Carpet and our reservation is for that dinner so that is why I'm asking about wind and the experience in general
  23. Are the 2 person cabanas actually for two, or are you sharing one with another couple?
  24. We'll be on Apex in March and this recently showed up in my cruise planner. I made a reservation and currently there is just a "placeholder" date and time like many other special events dining events typically have prior to the cruise. This one says 10:00 AM on departure day so I assume we'll learn more after boarding. My question is for anyone who has done this, probably specific to Apex, what can you tell me about the wind and conditions while dining? We leave every port between 4:00 and 6:00PM, and we have a couple sea days thrown in so I'm guessing dinner will be served while the ship is in motion. Also, does anyone recall what day of the cruise this typically occurs on? We are in a suite so we'll be dining in Luminae and we already have 2 reservations in Eden and 1 in Fine Cut so now I'm debating if Dinner on the Edge is going to be something we really want to do so I'd be interested in other's opinion.
  25. We also enjoy not signing tickets. I doubt we "break even" on the upcharge vs pay as we go, but our typical day of drinks is Cafe al Bacio for coffee, a stop someplace late morning, something with lunch, a couple waters sometime, another late afternoon stop by the Martini Bar, dinner, something in the show, at least 1 evening stop. If it's a sea day throw at least 2 or 3 more in so we end up with 10 to 13 individual tickets through out the day. I know it's a first world problem, but not having to sign a ticket that many times is worth a good chunk of the cost to upgrade
