  2. Because not all TA's exhibit the same level of judgement and Regent doesn't want any part of that mess.
  3. I hope the people complaining here have taken the time to call Corporate first.....otherwise its mostly wasted effort.
  4. It has been my experience that the lowest price cabins get the upgrade offers most often as those have the highest demand and sell out first (usually).
  5. Regent won't tell you but it is made up of multiple factors including and not limited to SSS level, cabin booked, cabins free, demand for your cabin class, etc.
  6. A fully vaxed 24 year old friend of mine just died of COVID - no other pre-existing conditions. While the odds are in your favor, more than ever, I would not want to be the one who gave COVID to an elderly passenger.

  8. Don't worry too much about the boarding time...Regent transportation ignores it and they don't bother looking at the pier.
  9. Email what you want to your TA, they will email it to their Regent contact who will populate the form and send it on. Include your TSA and FF account numbers as well as a backup flight plan. It will take about 10 business days for the first reply and more time if you have further questions. Plan on this.
  10. No need but as a TA, I found it easiest to pass my info to a Regent Rep. who input it directly into the system. DO NOT WAIT to do this. I had no idea how long it would take and was unable to finalize air to my satisfaction before my final pay date. My fault for not knowing how long it would take....plan on 10-20 business days depending on how many times you have to go back and forth. If you give them all possible info, including your TSA and FF accounts, you will get back your quote and possibly options in the NOTES section at the bottom of the form. The more info you give them, the faster this process will be.
  11. The form I have is for Agents only but, to be honest, I just called it in to a Regent Rep. and they input it into the system. Expect an reply in at around 10 business days and then further questions about the air will require replying to the response you received via email.
  12. Testing is at the pier if required. Some countries will expect you to quarantine and some won't...but with no test required to fly home I bet most would just hop on a plane.

I am sharing my opinion that I am only sailing to and from US ports (MIami) as I have no desire to be stuck in a foreign country due to COVID, flight cancellations, quarantines, etc. I've had 4 cruises since December...I think I will stick to returning to the USA via ship so that I won't get stranded.

  15. Crew yes. Passengers in ports in Italy and Greece...but they didn't in May and June. Last Dec and Jan = great enforcement. Not so much in the last month. I would no longer sail outside the USA.
  16. I've seen very low mask compliance on board where required by law...people think they are too good to follow the rules.
  17. There is also a 70% cap due to COVID concerns but I don't see Regent getting too close to that yet on the majority of cruises.
  18. There was a massive outbreak of COVID on that sailing...it took out a LOT of the crew and many passengers. Corporate doesn't want the crew releasing info to passengers.
  19. True...a number of cabins on deck 6. However, the #1 cause for the low number of passengers is people simply not wanting to sail yet.
  20. Usually within 60 days. I have never heard of a single case anywhere where Regent stiffed anyone. If you charge it back, don't expect any favors from them in the future. A chargeback can be held against the vendor.
  21. It doesn't require capital...the hardware is in place. They just need to sign a contract for more bandwidth and it can be 4 times as fast with existing equipment.
