  1. Good from Niagara and hope all are well. Just waiting on tests for husband that he has no recurrence of cancer and my self waiting on knee surgery. Interesting week . Anyway prayers for everyone on the sick list and I love cole slaw in any way shape or for,

    m. Generally I make dressing by thinning mayo with lemon juice and it’s pretty nice. Well we see if we sail on Koningsdam in May , have not been to west side of Canada butI can heartilyreccomend the East coast, particularly Newfoundland where my family originates. Terra Nova national park is just stunning and the people there are very nice. Tge humour is off the charts. Happy Earth Day to all my friends on this board and take care.

They are indeed service dogs..... otherwise you would be restricting the person who needs them. Service dogs will lie under the table in a food establishment. They do not eat at the table. By the way.... I can not see taking a non-service dog on a cruise.  I would spend more time caring for the dogs than enjoying the cruise. I have two dogs.... I just finished a 94 day cruise. My dogs have been taught to board and are familiar with the kennels and they evidently had a blast since they were not particularly happy to see me home. I am now broke from bailing them out but it is Part of the cost of cruising that I figure in when planning.read baby buggy

Sorry, but the ADA allows service dogs to be in food service areas like restaurants.  Typically, they will lie under the table.

    These are not service dogs.

  4. I also have type two diabetes and high blood pressure. I cruise to lower and this is making it higher. I know that service animals are wonderful. We have parishioners who attend mass with their pets but these are not areas with food and pose no health and safety issues. Also my lovely neighbor has a gorgeous dog who is trained well and rarely barks.  It’s justo, ain selfishness to allow this.otgers including my husband who is in remission from cancer  and needs peace and quiet which is why we cruise.I will have to rethink my travel plans .

In the first picture, the dog is not in compliance with the rules of the ADA, but at least in the second picture it is.  The ADA states, unequivocally that a service dog has to be in one of two allowable locations: on the floor, or in the owner's arms, or a chest carry harness.  Small dogs, typically for diabetics, are allowed to be kept in the owner's arms or a chest carry harness, if they need to be close to the owner's face to detect keto acidosis.

I cannot think of a "service" that a small dog would provide for a person with a knee brace, sine the person would still have to bend down to the dog.

Those with allergies to a dog do not have the right to challenge the person with the dog as to whether it is a service dog or not, but do have the right to challenge the cruise line about it.

I have a brace on my knee doesn’t require a dog to assist me. The staff on board do that. No dogs in food areas period.

I can't seem to view any of my booking through my Mariner account.  They show in the account but when I click on any of them I just get a white screen.  It sure would be nice to book a tour.  It's been this way for about a week.

    Same for me

  7. The dog should not be in the dining room. I spent 14 days on a transatlantic with this. It was on Celebrity a few years back. I hope I do not have this issue on the Koningsdam as has been reported. These are not service dogs.

Thanks to The Institute for again providing such in-depth responsible corporate reporting.  Cheers!

The wine pours look a little light or have you already sampled?  We will likely also upgrade to the Elite package on our upcoming corporate retreat but it may become a requirement to ensure we have unlimited water if we need to order "double Cabernets".

Enjoy and thanks again for letting us into your bubble.

Was on Rotterdam in November and a lady at our table was incensed at the size of her wine pour. Was very funny because she would not relent and the server had to go back and top off her drink to the brim. She said she could get a whole bottle of that exact wine at her local shop for 10.98.

Good morning to all and thanks for the daily and fleet reports.  Not a fan of PB&J, do like ferrets and I don't want to "love" a produce manager!  My father used to tell us kids - Always do the best you can.  It might not be as good as yesterday or tomorrow, but always do your best.  I don't think I would like the meal at all, the drink sounds (and looks) delicious, yes to the wine, and I have never been to Townsville.  What an explorer Ponce de Leon was!

Thanks @Sharon in AZ for the heads up about the SpaceX launch yesterday.  Unfortunately, I went to bed early as I started coughing and feeling crappy.  A friend in Yuma posted some pics they could see from there.  Amazing.

We still have cool weather today and yesterday it rained off and on.  Sometimes heavy.  We may get up to high 60s and it should become clear skies but presently it is 45F under cloudy skies with 97% humidity!  This is cooler than normal for us.

I am in a funk today.  I had some x-rays of the knees yesterday (trying to get into a clinical trial) and was surprised to see how bad the R knee has become.  It is now Stage 4 OA and definitely will not qualify; it is too bad.  Maybe the L will (?); we will see.  This is not good news.  I don't want knee replacement so I am looking at other alternatives.  I don't mind "fixing" my bones but I don't want "stuff" in my body.  Go figure.  I just envision a future of immobility and that just depresses me to no end.

Very sad to read of the passing of the friends and relatives of some dailyites.  Thoughts for you and others on the care list.  Cheers to those celebrating.  Have a great day everyone.

I feel your pain with the j

knees. I am also not n the waiting line and do not any surgery. Saw some research on PLP injections that apparently have been successful here. Plasma , but not sure. So miss dancing but that’s how I buggered it up, pardon my French.
