I'd like to try Explora..the ship looks wonderful and of course having Heike in charge will make it fabulous. How are you finding the prices compared to AZ and Oceania? So far it seems more expensive...your thoughts?

I find that to be true on the local TV weather news as well!! Sometimes by quite a bit of difference in the temps predicted!!

It was much colder and wet this past winter so the Google info may not reflect that. I've heard that we are to expect the same type of winter this year. Maybe just check when your departure date gets closer. Enjoy SD!!

Phil..Kenneth used one and we always use to bring an extension cord along ..just in case. As mentioned if you ask for one from the ship it will be huge and bulky. Just be sure to pack all the "bits and pieces"!! Kenneth didn't once and we had to find someone in BCN that could provide what we needed!! 😉 That cruise should be fabulous!!

I booked a cruise on 6/28 for April '25 to avoid the SM. It's on Vista in a French Veranda cabin. This fare is only for me as I'm going solo. I booked "cruise only" and no air. My invoice total is $7598.00 and my total with SM is $8398.00 with no air...$800.00 more. I don't drink alcohol and don't do ship excursions. So I'm sticking with my 6/26 booking.

You might take a look at Azamara...they are having a sale right now on the "2nd" person which helps with a solo cruiser. Ends 6/30.

I've stayed many times at the Hotel 1898 and just went to book for next April and the rates are 2X more than prior to the pandemic. This will be my first time back to Europe post Covid...is this the norm now? I've read that many of you like and have booked the H10 Metropolitan. There is also an H10 in the Gothic Quarter..I'm just wondering why you chose the Metropolitan one...central location or ? Thanks for any help...I'm in a bit of shock right now at the prices!!! 🙂

I was on the phone with my TA yesterday who is one of O's top producers. She also said there would be no cruise only. She had been involved in some sort of presentation by O. And she said that the subject of how much of a price hike would be involved was really not answered.
