  1. I hope you are feeling better now @Jimbo My go to covid remedy is ... https://www.cvs.com/shop/vicks-dayquil-and-nyquil-severe-cold-flu-and-congestion-liquicaps-24-ct-prodid-2100021?skuId=586492&cgaa=QWxsb3dHb29nbGVUb0FjY2Vzc0NWU1BhZ2Vz&cid=ps_ur_pla_test&gclid=CjwKCAjw69moBhBgEiwAUFCx2CIIk9UmDD3G_gyGKh7waWGQqpRc-LnO7SsjizzKKy3z3ZFLc68k_BoCXAAQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds plus 2 tablets of Airborne... https://www.cvs.com/shop/airborne-original-vitamin-c-effervescent-tablets-prodid-1010804 3 times per day. Morning, early afternoon and evening. I've had Covid at least 4 times (I stopped testing after the 4th time). All 4 times and any time I had suspected cases never lasted more than 3 days and never got to more than an annoyance with this regimen. YMMV Get better soon.
  2. Just a little word of advice. When your opening and close to first post on a forum is an ad hominem attack, people tend to be less sympathetic. This forum is filled with good people who go to great lengths to help others with good advice solving problems that they can't or don't know how to solve on their own. Calling us tweakers (whatever you meant by that) destined you to get the response you got. I hope your cruise works out for you.
  3. I've finally got Allanz annual plan. No more messing about with each cruise. Cruising three weeks a year more than pays for it.
  4. I found that it shows up much later in the evening. I was told they gather the receipts at the end of the day and then process them once onboard the ship. Not that they don't miss a few but I thought mine had been missed and then later that evening (app after 10 pm) they magically appeared on my account.
  5. I grabbed just $500 for $650 CDN (1.30 exchange rate)... Strangely, It shows up in the cruise planner as 675.50 which coverts into a 1.351 exchange rate. If there are people that don't mind tying the money up or about to make a cruise planner purchase, its a free $25. I'll spend it on board anyways.
  6. Yes, you can dine at any one of the three without surcharge. Also, yes to dining in any restaurant 1 or 3 times. All are subject to availability when you board. I've never had a problem changing to any day that other than day 1 with the 3 night package. YMMV.
  7. I wouldn't be too worried about it in your case. A 16 year old is hard to distinguish from an 18 year old. An 18 year old who is clearly assisting an 81 one year old passenger is unlikely to have an issue. The 16 year olds that are the going to be asked to leave are the ones making a commotion and in some way detracting from that peace and quiet that the Solarium is supposed to be about. Don't worry about it and enjoy your cruise. I doubt it will be an issue.
  8. I'm not 100% but I think the bracelets have to do with Flowrider waiver.
  9. Book at least what you will be happy with and try and bid up. Don't expect to win your bid especially on a busy holiday sailing. I'm 0/8 on bidding for Royal up. Yes there are Diamond lounge/happy hours just no free drinks. As diamond you get 4 drinks per day anywhere you want already on your sepsis card in lieu of happy drinks.
  10. At 1.335 it is still a little bit of a deal. Forex rate today is 1.351 and your credit card will probably charge it out between 1.37 and 1.38. Buying $500 USD of OBC will cost $667.50. $500 USD dollars charged to a credit card will be $690. If you were buying them enough it'd save you little anyways.
  11. My bad, I only looked at 2024 dates. That is a really cheap price if you are Ok with an inside cabin. Have fun.
  12. It was never meant for adults and is in the children's play area. If some adults got on it doesn't change the fact it was never meant for that and was never advertised as available for adults.
  13. That's not what is being talked about here. A small slide for kids would not get an adult stuck in the middle. LOL
  14. There has never been a slide on Serenade. No ship below Voyager class has ever had a water slide.
  15. Umm, if you slid down a slide on Serenade it was a ghost slide... There is no slide on Serenade.
  16. The $700 price tag is for the Casita's on a sea day. Those aren't even in the The Hideaway they are in the Chill island area on deck 16. The Hideaway is free to enter. The only cost is for the daybeds. For my sailing, which seems to have premium prices for everything, The Hideaway daybeds are $200 on a port day and $300 for a sea day. There is room for four people and includes bottled water and sparkling wine. While it is not for everyone, it doesn't seem like a bad deal if lying in the sun all day is your sort of thing. As far as the price for the Casita's goes that is too steep for my blood. I have reserved one in the past on Navigator on a port day because I didn't plan on getting off the ship and I got it for $88. $350 for a port day isn't worth it to me. Day 5 is St. Thomas and I will have been there a few times by the time I get on Icon so I might have considered it. If the price dropped by 50% maybe but at that price... nope.
  17. I have cruised a few times now the week immediately succeeding Thanksgiving and have paid some pretty high prices for flights flying in on the Friday or Saturday (1 or 2 days after Thanksgiving) before the cruise. That being said, the reduced cost of sailing usually made up for that. The week after that, to me, is the best value. If I'm looking at the schedule right, my guess is the OP is looking at Grandeur Nov 29. That's a nice looking itinerary. I'd be willing to pay a little premium to sail that one.
  18. When we were on Odyssey we had lunch at Giovanni's. It was great! So peaceful too. 🙂
