It sounds like you would like A2S to avoid close connections but then you find fault with A2S for offering long connections. If the connections were legal they can be sold. It's not the role of A2S to protect you from yourself. Flight delays happen. I'm encountering one right now on my way to a cruise with air booked through A2S. Flight last night didn't happen so I just boarded a plane this morning and now I'm flying the day of the cruise. If this one delays as well I won't be cruising today. I knew the risks associated with booking the last flight of the night, the day before the cruise. A2S cannot overcome everything the airline industry might throw at us. I think you have the wrong expectations.

It is a periodic travel agent call. It does appear that Utopia will start doing 3 and 4 night cruises. At this point we don't know how long that will go on. It appears as though it will be well into 2025 but these are the details we expect to learn next week.

I flew home mid-cruise when a death occured in the family. Wasn't that hard really. Kind of expensive though. I have my passport. Stuff happens in life, sometimes unexpected stuff. The ship has a designated crew member to work with you for the unexpected.

Navigator is 20 years old. The class of ship was designed a decade before that. People didn't have so many gadgets back then and CPAP machines were not that commonly carried on vacation. Neither were cell phones (carried by everyone on vacation) in the early1990's during the design phase of those ships. A lot has changed and now newer ships have features old ships do not. Quantum class ships have an outlet on one side of the bed near the lamp by the nightstand.

I just looked at a GS on Wonder and it looks identical to the JY on Utopia Sky Class perks.

There is no question about the convenience of deck 17, all things being equal. The biggest reason to look at the JY is the low price point to gain Sky Class perks compared to deck 17 and 18 suites.

I think that is a safe assumption.

It is pretty much a Junior Suite except it has Sky Class perks instead of Sea Class perks. Spectrum has some but on Spectrum they are located in the Golden suite area. Oasis class has long had a number of Sky Class suites that are not deck 17. This is just another example of a Sky class suite that isn't in close proximity to the Suite Lounge and Coastal Kitchen. I've stayed in a GS on deck 6 close to where the JY are on Utopia and loved the area. Close to everything down low. The only catch was riding the elevator to CK.

Typically they honor bookings made during test loads unless the pricing is so far off it's clearly a mistake, which I don't expect in this case. It's not the inaugural date and once the whole season is released the Nov. 18 date will be just another 4 night Utopia cruise. There is nothing special about Nov. 18. It's not Thanksgiving. Not the first cruise, not anything that warrants special considerations. Once thousands have booked Utopia the Nov. 18 date will be just another cruise.

Category was "SO". Confirmed as Star Class, rate was $5,062.50 per person before port fees and taxes. A2 Star Class Aquatheater was the least expensive Star Class at $4,820 pp before taxes. A1 was more than the SO at $5,561pp before taxes. SO balcony was 0 sf so no balcony as expected. I'm guessing they will be very close to the UP found on Oasis.
