Thanks for reply. so clarify for me did you use app on Website to book dining or did you do it in phone? I am surprise Princess does not just ask for dining preferences when making deposits. I get the idea I will end up in buffet rather than getting saddled with 8 pm dining Is there a cost for medallion?

do I setup dining for MDR or anything else. I thought it was odd when making my booking that no choices for dining??? Now I see it has to be done on the app and not the website? Really????? Do I need the silly medallion for my wrist or do I use my phone? I mean this isn't a theme park....... Sorry but NO other cruise so far in the last few years have I ever been confused on how to get dining. Why is this? any help please

Mine never did and I take them to porters closer to ship not just where bus drops off

Well MSC ships are pretty inside and they have a private island that Celebrity does not have. Most folks will say Celebrity food is better. I say try both then you will know

Well there is ports threads on cc but look at what ships offer and read descriptions and then look online videos too

Both are good for various reasons but try an NCL that goes to Harvest Cay in Belize.It is a private area for NCL and very nice large pool and just beautiful. No free food but at least it is private pool and beach that X does not have

Yes I agree but the luggage porters in Miami are aggressive and I won’t tip and I stand to the side to wait and watch to see luggage not shoved aside and forgotten.

Also they want less people in port too.

Any cruise line that tells me I can’t sit with friends or family because they drink and I don’t, then that cruise line would never get my business. perhaps drink package should go away and everyone pay as they go with a program to give discounts once you have had 20th drink .

It was non refundable and I was fine with that. Then fast forward almost a year but before final payment I chose to change to another cruise and was told at that time I could NOT ever get any protection plan with HAL. All I have to say is other lines under Carnival corp do not have this rule. Hal has many promos and HAL when making changes, how convenient they assign a new booking number which alerts the system and new rules replace the rules you had before. For me HAL has odd booking practices and are very sneaky so I won’t ever sail on them. Protection plans are an add on.

Well X could go to Labadee since there is no water park.

I am on the leg of 1 way Copenhagen to Amsterdam because of my Jewel being cancelled for the 15 day all Norway. For me I am interested in the itinerary and excited to get to see Oslo and Aarhus Denmark. As for those on World cruise I bet some might welcome new faces and I am thinking of getting a shirt saying “1 leg only please just say Hello”. But really it is about the ports and as a solo I will keep to myself a lot anyways.

Good to hear and it is the same on RCI Oasis class ships. Folks spread out by day 2. I am looking forward to going on Celebration for Thanksgiving.

Yea me too but they provided a large photo dump.

Each ship does it a bit different. Last year the CD called out each branch of military for applause and then included other countries as well.

It was fun to try and get photos. Also dining solo is less enjoyable as the wait staff prefers larger groups and just flow the food out whereas I had to beg for the variety and felt like wait staff wanted to hurry me along. Matter hatter never appeared either. Do the Le Petit Chef on Celebrity which is more fun and better food.

ya want to be the witness??? I agree was a odd post and well glad that the person sees less complaining. Perhaps they should go over to NCL or RCI, plenty there. I mean menus are a big topic.
