  1. They credit the sale price back as obc and then charge the ob price. At least they always have for me. But I always book just one and two of us show up to eat.
  2. Yes, but they will cancel out the sale price and recharge you for the onboard price.
  3. RE: Samba Grill, do they serve any sides? I only see meats on their menu.. Never been there before but looking at Allure.
  4. Yes. I do this all the time. They will charge the onboard price for the BOGO and just refund your previous purchase in obc.
  5. Just have everyone check in with whoever has the earliest slot. Also, suites can check in within 1 hour either way of their assigned time.
  6. I mostly drink gin & tonic which is usually charged $11.50 when they screw up on my vouchers. I’d assume a rum & coke would probably the same.
  7. I got some really bad scallops on Harmony a while back. Same ammonia tasting scallops in 150 and Izumi.
  8. It would have been nice if they’d actually included what has changed rather than just saying “go find it”.
  9. A port fee refund is not really a big deal to me. It’s usually not but around $15 or so in obc.
  10. It’s obvious that Royal’s main focus nowadays is creating an amusement park for young families and kiddos - not quasi luxury type vacations for mostly mature adults like the old days where there was a focus on finer dining and special attention by the staff. (I know those are still available elsewhere for the price) I guess they figure the new preferred demographic will tolerate Golden Corral quality food and reduced service based on their different priorities. I don’t cruise to ride a roller coaster, slide down a lucite tube or play bumper cars and miss the quality food and service that Royal has diluted. My list of pending cruises is winding down with no real desire to look at booking more. My last cruise was so bad I was anxious to get back to port for debarkation.
  11. Situations like this are why they offer insurance. If you don’t buy it, you take your chances. Royal is not obligated to reimburse or compensate you for such an unfortunate event. Sorry, but you made the choice to not have insurance.
  12. The biggest event on Enchantment is rust abatement night. Everyone is issued a wire brush and face mask…. JK
  13. Contacting Royal will get you a “So sorry this happened”. That and two bucks will get you a cup of coffee.
  14. I use these for our cpaps. It plugs into your power supply to replace the short portion of the cord and basically makes it an integral part of your unit. I just leave them in the carrying case. You can get them in various lengths. I dislike those heavy orange cords the ships provide.
  15. Looks too much like a boring presentation I used to have to sit through at work…
  16. Maybe they only have one million in retirement savings and spend the other million on suites….
  17. Or ask it what percentage of urine is considered healthy in a cruise ship hot tub.
  18. When that big ole boy sitting across from you in the tub that’s on his sixth Bud Lite suddenly gets that far away look in his eyes…. You know what he’s doing, right? 😁😉
  19. It all depends on how hard it hits one’s pocketbook I guess. $2700 is a lot to some and not so much to others. I’d probably do it for a 7 night but not a 3 night.
  20. My first bad encounter happened in January at the Galveston port. It was a cold windy morning when I parked in the North Lot. I’d had to let my wife off at front because she was having back/knee problems and couldn’t walk far. Trying to navigate through the parking lot wrestling with two full size suitcases that kept going different directions, I finally got to where the shuttle buses were unloading and the porter reached over and grabbed one of the bags. I rolled the other bag over to him and then realized I didn’t have a tip in hand and all my tip money was in a pouch where I keep our passports. As I started digging for the pouch, I turned around and he was gone. Fast forward to the ship. My wife’s bag showed up early but mine never did. I mentioned it to the steward and he went to look for it, called the naughty room and could not find it. He then sent me to Guest Services and they took me behind the desk to take a look at the bags they had with no luggage tags. Still not there. I then talked to security and they said they’d send someone to walk the different decks later and see if they could find it. I gave him the description and told him it had one of the clear plastic tag holders on it with a steel cable so I was sure the tag had to be on it. About 8:00 I got a call describing my bag and ask if that was it. I replied that it was my bag. He said that it had a tag on it for cabin 1530 (I was in 9327). When they brought it, my plastic tag holder had been ripped off - nothing there but the cable and an eyelet and a paper porter tag had been put on there with the 1530 cabin number in it. My only explanation is that this was done deliberately because the porter didn’t get tipped. Had me in a panic for quite a while
