  1. On the Adventure repositioning in October, they had a suite reception out on the helicopter deck. Just what I wanted to do - stand out in the hot sun with no shade for an hour and a half. I passed and just watched from our nice cool panoramic suite.
  2. Not an accurate answer to your question, but I don’t think they’re using the canned water on any ships lately.

  4. They’re feeding Pinnacles breakfast in Chops now on most ships and suites in Giovanni’s.

  7. I never paid for it but now do it as a D+ perk. Bring some tape for the paper bag and fill it to the top. You’ll get a lot more in it that way. I seem to get more in the plastic bag.

Two weeks ago on Adventure, night one, when ordering the (not so) Prime Rib, since we don’t like horseradish, we asked for peppercorn sauce that’s on the menu with the strip steak instead of horseradish and the waiter acted like we ruined his day. He stated that he wasn’t sure if he could do that but would ask the chef. He did bring some in a separate bowl. Also, I had the crab cake for the appetizer. The crab(?) was rubbery and chewy. First time I ever had rubbery crab….

  12. Not considering changing lines but just considering a hiatus altogether for a while. Just got off a cruise and it was not enjoyable at all. Food sucked. The menu is obviously redesigned to use cheaper ingredients and lesser amounts. The prime rib was definitely not prime. Mexican night is two slices of cheap skirt steak. Caribbean night was a dry tough pork chop with one slice of a plantain and a glob of rice. No more duck Al orange. Lamb shank instead of chops. Giovanni’s was still very good but the servings were cut in half. The clientele was for the most part Carnival rejects. Prices are up so much I’m not really even looking anymore. (Just my opinion. Flame me if you want)
  13. Liberty has had a history of azipod problems requiring divers to repair. I’d suspect it’s another episode of that. But who knows…
  14. On the Adventure last week, they had 70 bottles. First time I’ve seen it on the ship in quite a while. When I saw the price of $109.99 a bottle, I could see why they still had 70 bottles. It used to be $70ish a bottle.
  15. I was in a full suite in Oct/Nov on Adventure and did not get free internet. I wonder if people are confusing free internet with the newly enabled free chat feature.
  16. Giovanni’s filet is as good or better than Chops and you get pasta as well there. I love the gnocchi Gorgonzola they have there and always pair that with the filet. We ate at Giovanni’s last week and it was excellent as usual but it appeared they’ve reduced the quantity in their servings a little bit but was plenty.

  20. Mainly because 99.9% of the Mexican food I eat is in the U S…. I don’t fly to Florence to eat spaghetti either
  21. Being a Texan, I never saw or ate fish tacos regionally until around 20 years or so ago, but fish tacos have been a west coast thing for ages. TexMex is the best food on earth!
