  1. Hmmm.... I don't go so strong, but think it tastes like candle wax.
  2. For me, It can include many little things that are above and beyond the norm. Example: One Steward would take the change I left on the bedside table and arrange them in a decorative fashion. Many others when they would see is coming walk to our room and unlock the door. Make up the bed covering (as requested) like a Duvet covers as oppose to tightly tucked in. Rearrange all the numerous electronic gizmos on cocktail table in an orderly fashion and totally clean the tables daily (the norm is to work around them and not fully clean). Fold all the dirty laundry on the floor of the closet. If I left a shirt or pair of jeans on back of chair... fold them neatly.
  3. To be honest I don't think it has ever not happened to me even on B2B's. I often tell Iain - Why do we even bother
  4. Not at all. Each upgrade will set off a chain of open cabins from those upgraded. e.g. CS to RS will open a CS which if filled with a SS will open a SS ....etc
  5. No worries. They will ask again even if you did it in advance. It is now just 2 questions Someone posted this recently....
  6. I just did a quick Tip Video on how you can save money when using Ride Share.
  7. Thanks --- the count down is on. We depart in 13 days. Time is starting to fly by. I have to run down an get a replacement suitcase early next week. The wheel broke off our large suitcase on our last cruise.
  8. Good seeing you Bonnie, Not really active. I was initially starting this thread to organize all I learn as I plan my first Oceania Cruise. Should be fun. I'll probably be firing up a Live post for the cruise itself.
  9. One thing I've noticed recently is the date on the web may be 1 day different than the app. Normally 11:00 AM is the earliest but for my November cruise out of Barcelona the shoreside concierge told me the earliest is currently listed as 11:30. Maybe be that Silhouette is coming out of Dry Dock.
  10. Yes no paid internet is required Muster drill can be done on the app (without a paid internet plan, on your in-room TV or they will brief you verbally at your muster station CheckIn time will show in the App or website. It usually opens exactly at 12:01 45 days prior to cruise (Departure time zone). If you look at your app or booking it will show you the day. Mine is showing for a 2025 cruise now. Check for sure as one of my cruises is showing 21 days in advance.
  11. Good point. There are still a lot of old pictures. on the site. BTW not sure people are aware but if you upload pictures they send you money for each... don't remember the amount but something like 25 cents per picture and more for a video
  12. In that case I would contact your agent. They will be able to quickly fix it for you.
  13. You're Travel Agent will be the one to change on your reservation. I believe if you booked via Celebrity and control your reservation you can change that on the website. I wouldn't worry about it. By default all rooms are made up as a Queen. If you want them separated then just tell your room attendant and they will take care of it at turn down the first night.
  14. Normally if you wish for a guest to join you in Luminae you have to pay an additional fee for access - there is a fee for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Would be best to check with the MD. I've heard that some singles have been permitted to bring a guest but that is not what the rules state. They also have a limited program where you can in advance arrange for $100 per person per day and they get Suite access to Luminae, Retreat etc...It may be limited to upper suites so best to call your agent or Celebrity.
  15. We usually tip extra for Waiter, Sommelier, Butler and Room Attendant. That is based on above and beyond service. If someone just does their job then we do not tip extra but if they go above and beyond to make our vacation more enjoyable we tip in the range of $5-10 per day extra.
  16. You can usually find pictures of all ship on CruiseDeckPlans.com On the deckplans if there is a camera icon ... just click it. It shows both cabins as well as public area.
  17. I'm seeing the same things for the same cruise. I don't believe it has been loaded yet. They usually don't open up bidding between 21-60 days in advance but have often opened early.
  18. I was surprised to have a call from the Shoreside Retreat Host for our November 16th Silhouette cruise yesterday (80 days in advance). We are traveling in a Royal Suite and that's the earliest we have ever been contacted. She followed up with an email outlining all of the details.
  19. Not sure if you are traveling in a Suite but if so could you advise who the Retreat Hosts are.
  20. Sailed Millennium more than any other ships. She went through Revolution and has been maintained well. I would have no qualms sailing her again.
  21. In 26 year's I've never confirmed my reservation. But on the other hand, if you log onto celebrity your reservation will show.
  22. Move up usually start between 21 and 80 days prior to a cruise. You do not need an invite - Just check periodical at link below. For some reason I don't get invitations 75% of the time. https://www.celebritycruises.com/bid-on-cruise-room-upgrade
  23. Iain has often purchased Duty Free the last night of the cruise. On that night they give your purchase directly to you after checkout instead of holding. Never had a problem.
