  1. Had a great experience with RT&T, you'll be fine with them. As for going to Disney in this heat, more power to you guys. I'd melt in an hour. I can hear the MK fireworks from my house, closest I've been to Disney in forever, lol. We had annuals for a while then kinda gave up. We go to Disney Springs every so often. Love Art Smith's Homecomin'. When we read about Mason Jar on Wonder it made us think of that restaurant. Very similar southern concept.
  2. I didn't go in search of early morning alcohol on my recent B2B but we used some for bottled water and iced coffee drinks at Cafe Promenade. Windjammer bar perhaps? Can at least get fresh squeezed OJ.
  3. Indy last month was the first "fridge" I've had that was virtually useless... and it wasn't just that we got a broken one b/c it was a B2B and we switched cabins... both were the same.
  4. Just be aware that those aren't really "fridges" and the temperature varies by ship.
  5. Think we've done half a dozen or so. Finally got one we didn't like last month. The good news is you can switch to any available cabin in the same category (if booked in the US at least), which I would have done, but we happened to win a small RoyalUp.
  6. Agreed. That's why it's essential to bring gallon size ziplocs to keep the ones you take back to your cabin chewy. 😁
  7. Have you done the "bar code trick"? Add your set sail pass from the app to your Apple wallet (if you're an Apple user). Numbers will appear under the bar code. The numbers to the right of the dash are your cabin. You can also scan the bar code with a QR reader to see the numbers. In rare cases you will see "GTY" after the dash (which obviously won't help).
  8. FWIW, we had a great experience in CK on Harmony 5/29. If Rodrigo is still onboard running it, you're in good hands! Very friendly and funny in addition to making sure everything runs smoothly. I know one of the two suite concierges has changed but Junior (who was still there last I heard) was very helpful with requests, especially pre-cruise via e-mail. I was the designated contact person for our extended family of 8 for the cruise. There was an app issue with our comedy reservations and he told me he'd personally walk us down to the show if he had to. Good luck with the AC! Ours went out a couple months ago. Turned out to be a quick fix and fortunately we have two units (one downstairs, one upstairs), so as long as one is working, we can survive.
  9. Used to love the chilled soups and they would frequently be in the WJ on the same nights as they were being served in the MDR.
  10. I can only speak for RT&T. Check their website. You can see their appointment calendar without booking. Pretty far out if I recall. Here's some more info that may help...
  11. $20 at RT&T. $15 at OnPoint. That's just for proctoring if you provide your own tests.
  12. I think they call it a chocolate bar. My wife loves them but she just eats the mousse and leaves the cake part, lol.
  13. Someone elsewhere hyped this up A LOT so I had some toasted for me on Indy last month. I'll admit it was very good... for toasted raisin bread at least.
  14. Paella (usually served for day one lunch) Indian food, especially the butter chicken. Most of the cook to order station items, especially mongolian bbq. Crepe station for dessert. Yes, not all WJ's are created equal.
  15. That's usually our M.O. On a recent family cruise (most of the extended family isn't big on WJ) they all went to Park Cafe (which I also enjoy). Wife and I went to WJ then met up with them. I think my texting pics and comments about the paella WJ always seems to have on day one and something else influenced my brother-in-law. They cruised alone last week and one of the first texts my SIL sent the family after boarding was "Sitting in WJ, BIL and niece went to find paella." 🤣
  16. Or embark ASAP, eat wherever before it's crowded, then find an uncrowded spot to hang out until your cabin is ready.
  17. There have been some issues reported with it being hard to contact them if you need assistance or have questions. Also, a few people have reported not receiving their appointment e-mails. They seem to get the job done, but there may be the occasional hiccup.
  18. I'd never avoid the WJ (buffet), love the lunch day one paella. That said, I'd recommend Park Cafe.
  19. It was open while I was onboard from 7/15-7/22.
  20. Sounds like you answered your own question. I'd go with 2 cabins based on that statement.
  21. I'm just waiting patiently for my 1st from this past May. Was originally told 3-4 months but pretty much just ignoring it. Figure it will show up someday.
