  1. If I recall correctly, when we were at Captains corner last year on the Odyssey TA, Captain Sindre’s answer as to what they do with the leftover food sounded like they inecenerate it. He didn’t mention it being dumped if I recall.
  2. I don’t think you need the pin to get the benefits, your seapass card will be a different color to reflect your status.
  3. There definitely was port access, as it is if you’re doing a B2B on any ship.
  4. We did 2 segments from June 20 - July 10. The second segment everyone - including those that were doing the full world cruise - had to stand in line by the theatre to recheck in I guess…. In our case we had to get new cards for that segment, not sure what the others did, but they were all in line and a lot of them were complaining about it. So in that way, they were affected a bit. It was also noticeable around the ship when the new cruisers got on that day. They were loud and everywhere, a bit chaotic, which is normal for people excited about a cruise, it changed the vibe of the ship for awhile.
  5. Not sure if you’re kidding, but it looks too big to add to the plethora of things I already pack. You wouldn’t believe the things I bring. I get hubby to lean over with a wet towel and clean the top half of the glass, that’s really all we need to see out from the chairs on the balcony. This past cruise there was varnish running down the glass from when they redid the railing, so I used my nail file to get it off.
  6. I wouldn’t be surprised if people almost fall overboard just trying to clean the outside of the glass on their balcony.
  7. We don’t do short cruises. The first day doesn’t really count, then you have one day to enjoy everything, which is almost impossible on a big ship, then you have to pack on the third day…. I wouldn’t even unpack on a short cruise, I would live out of the suitcase.
  8. We were on an Oasis years ago and there were 1,000 from one of the popular at the time companies like lululemon (but I don’t think it was them). They had a couple of events that closed areas for a short time, like the boardwalk. But it was fine, kind of fun.
  9. On a Iphone can’t you use Safari (or another web browser) and go into the site that way to Checkin?
  10. I may be wrong, but I think there were computers in the Crown lounge on Adventure when we were on last month. I noticed and was surprised.
  11. They were on our cruise, so we just added them all to our daily schedules and then each day it was also on the front of the app.
  12. I wanted to add that we’ve cruised a lot, on many Royal ships and even though we love all the Radiance ships because there’s so much glass to see out especially on European cruises, and Oasis class because of what they offer, our absolute favorite ship is Odyssey. We’ll be on it for our third TA on it in October, and we can’t wait!
  13. I agree with you. We love Labadee Because of the simplicity of it. We’re just there to enjoy the water, the sand and listen to the local birds. BUT the lunch isn’t good at all. We usually don’t eat anything there except a salad. I’ve seen flies all over the burgers more than once.
  14. This is the Home Screen from serenade today. The only part missing is sunrise/sunset
  15. I see some questions have been answered, but I’ll add to keep in mind on a European itinerary, I would focus NOT on the ships amenities for the kids, but the ports. Europe has so much to see and on our cruises, not many sea days unless it’s a TA. If it’s a port intensive cruise, you’ll be off the ship a lot and not spending as much time on the ship all day like on a Caribbean cruise. So focus on which itinerary you like and not which ship for this cruise.
  16. We were just on Serenade and each day the app showed the time they expected the gangway to open and when we were all to be aboard. We could save to our calendar like any other activity. Is that what you mean?
  17. We’ll be on that cruise with you and I also kept the ones for that cruise that was posted.
  18. true… they did it for me….. well in my case they never asked me, but I saw it on the reservation and told them I was changing my TA…they gave me a kind of hard time, but it got done 😉
  19. The only post shutdown change we don’t like is the higher prices 😜
  20. We were also on Allure right after the start and I liked the vibe…..it kind of felt like our private chartered ship. We royaled up to a GS for pennies and had a great week!
  21. We were recently on Adventure and Serenade (for 2 segments) and they were close together so we’re not sure, but one of them (and hubby thinks it was Serenade) I was able to send him texts on our iPhones which he received and replied and he didn’t have the wifi package.
  22. We did the 2 segments from Ravenna to Barcelona and the Solarium bar was open at least in the day when we were in the pool area for those 20 nights. We noticed many eating in Chops and Giovanni’s, more than I see on some other cruises on radiance ships. we were told that there were over 2,000 on each segment, but there were many families which included children. we don’t gamble so I don’t know how the casino made out, BUT we did walk through once to get to the theatre and noticed it didn’t stink from cigarettes as much as normal. That was a pleasant surprise. we would love to be on another world cruise, but DH could only tolerate 2 months.
  23. We met a couple on our two WC segments that are doing 2 WCs on Silversea. I can’t get DH to do that many nights. ☹️ I would love to do a WC on royal that was no more than 2 months, not even sure he would go for that though.
