  1. I think I would've gone for Free Cruises for life in the Royal Crown Suite!
  2. Let your Doc diagnose you first, you are probably jumping to the wrong conclusions. Maybe a 3 day virus, who knows. You Have until Thursday, take the days you have, don't overthink it.
  3. We've planned this for months. My chair will be driven up to our door and probably be folded before going inside and then stowed under the bed and plugged in by the bed. Eazy Peazy No way I'd leave my $1500 wheelchair outside😲 Additionally, anywhere we take it, the joystick can be removed and stowed under my lounger etc. It's no good without it, won't even roll unless you know how to disengage the rear wheels.
  4. Facetiousness: facetious stresses a desire to produce laughter and may be derogatory in implying dubious or ill-timed attempts at wit or humor.
  5. Yep, I have AFIB and ramps are a problem, also the piers at Coz and Costa Maya! Whew. They have the trams, but I want to be in control of when I can leave and come back. I'm anxious to know how my chair is received by the crew.. It will fit perfectly in the closet or under our bed on ship. Here's the one we got: 35.4 x 23.6 x 34.6 inches so less than 24" wide. It cost $1499 with a $100 coupon on Amazon. Lithium battery of course, just plug it in. I've been practicing, hope to just back in the elevator and zip out quickly. I'm getting pretty good at it, it turns on a dime!
  6. Don't explain or apologize, it happens. I'm in your boat and last cruise I had enough huffing and puffing and stopping on the way up and down the promenade...I researched everything and I do mean everything. Finally, we bought an electric wheel chair that folds up and gets through 24" doors...so we don't have to take up an Accessible cabin and can leave them for others if need be. It's more vertical than a scooter and I figured it would inconvenience less people in the elevators. Just a little more than a scooter but I figure I will need it anyway some day and renting would be more of a hassle than it's worth. It costs so much it wouldn't take long to break even. I'll let you know, we cruise next week and I'll be using it.
  7. I made it with chicken tenders yesterday....it's gone. It wasn't as good as theirs though!
  8. We've had noise problems on two ships in 29 cruises. One under the 3rd floor restroom, they moved us to a deck 12 balcony, worked out well. Cleaning crew kept waking us up at 3:00am We've had a couple connectors but no noise, had to call security on a non connecting interior once. The guy was beating the heck outa his lady, she screaming. They came and no more noise, but it was scary! Then on Voyager we were once under one of the Jacuzzi's and kept getting woke up by gurgling water sounds, somewhat hypnotic, but aggravating...we let that one ride.
  9. And that makes no sense at all! At all! As I've said before, any number of things can be deadly...look at knitting needles for instance, Mrs Marple! As can anything that gets hot. What's the difference in matches lighters and a big lighter...duh. Flame suit on LOL
  10. What does it say Lloyd, I'm not gonna pay to read it!
  11. Weather service said "6" and Emily were not a threat to any land, verdict still out on the Gulf. Looks like Hillary made landfall, barely a Cat 1 storm...much ago about nothing hopefully. I think mud slides will be the problem Watching right now, I swear those forecasters just sound so disappointed it's not gonna be a hurkin big storm! Funny.
  12. I usually start with the Mojitos, but this cruise I'm asking for the new rave Lavender Daiquiri. I hear it' the berries!😉
  13. I started making Bolero's Mojitos when I found out about Monin's Mint Mojito syrup (I even grow my own mint), but other drinks I make just don't turn out right! I love Lemon Drop Martinis, but even with something that simple, you'd be surprised at the nuances that change it. One day on Liberty at the bar behind Windjammer I had one and it was the best I ever tasted. The bartender there said she uses orange zest and that was the secret ingredient. She made the martini and then twisted an orange peel on top of the glass, you could actually see the orange oils fizzing into the glass, then she garnished with an orange slice...that was the trick. Ewwww, you could smell the orange as you sipped it!! 😋 I always ask for them with orange peel now. Bolero's on Odyssey made them for me...perfect!
  14. I did and will. The shows are not what I cruise for. But "42nd Street" would be a good one. It won all kinds of awards back in the 70's.
  15. Sorry for that, Ike was a bad one. Lots of folks lost cars in parking lots then. Thats the one they closed SA's airport for and caused us lots of trouble getting to Florida, but when we returned, it had gone up Toledo Bend area and San Antonio didn't get a drop of rain or wind...go figure! But we have insurance. Still not worried. September is in the middle of Hurricane season, and traditionally for us, is the big month we cruise because of lower pricing.
  16. Oz takes me back to my childhood....I still watch it every year. I'll love watching that bed fly around the theater..woohoo! The Wiz was a good production too.
  17. Or you might get a hellofa ride!! One of our favorites was crossing the gulf during a wretched squall. Lots of sick people but we stood out on Voyager's deck 5 watching the white caps and swell and had a blast! Fortunately for us, we do not suffer from Mal de mur. I'm not ever worried about hurricanes. They just reverse course or go around, no problem. We don't mind missing ports, we make our own lemonade. We leave Sept. 3rd....cannot wait....Bon Voyage Op.
  18. For the 4th time on Lady A in 17 days.....favorite ship followed by Liberty.
  19. I'm looking for that Ultimate Family Suite to be empty on our cruise, maybe they'll let us in to look at it. I don't have one friend or acquaintance that could afford that. EGAD! 😲
  20. Thanks Sunny, I'm gonna try it today with chicken tenders and Panko instead of bread crumbs.
  21. Mike, I don't mind fat, that's tasty, it's the rubber band junk you can't chew I detest.
  22. Oh yeah, back in the day.....it was damn good. Say the early 2000's.
