  1. I guess my post was confusing. As the HW circulates we asked to sit at the same table, same time, same waiter the only time I dined with others. That was lunch each day in MDR. I always have dinner solo. I ask the HW if I can just return to that table. And they prefer that I do. (Allergies) But on my last 2 voyages I noticed that all the tables in my section were also same diners so it wasn't just me. Makes it so much easier. Just say hello & walk right in. Same table / same staff / same time / vegetarian menu waiting for me
  2. Unless everyone at the table requests it. Then it's just walk in to your table. At least that's been my experience on my last 5 cruises. I was misled by the app on my 1st MC cruise (8/15/21 cruise) and tried to do it as stated on the app. Never again. That's too frustrating
  3. But it's still my go-to when my take on bottles are gone & I like sweet wine. Not as dry as most IMHO
  4. Charles & Charles Rose | Total Wine & More https://www.totalwine.com/wine/rose-blush-wine/syrahshiraz/charles-charles-rose/p/121123750
  5. I buy at least 1 specialty dinner anyway and now I get a bottle of wine! Its a win!! Before it was BOGO specialty dinner which did not benefit solos. Like i said:
  6. Finally it sounds like its worded to benefit even solo cruisers!!
  7. I think you are probably 100% correct for most of us. I've only been on 43 Princess cruises, can barely manage to schedule 4 cruises a year (dog, 16yo here, life happens) but I won't ever make MTG so eliminating that meal doesn't affect me. But the cruise line going under would. ( @Coral has a valid point).
  8. 10% refundable OBC is added to your shipboard account, sometimes before the excursion / sometimes afterwards. (Happened both ways for me)
  9. You're right, I don't. I cruise on Princess because the vibe suits me. Giving up 100 OBC and eating in MDR is fine. I've never gone hungry on a cruise ship Last time I did a Panama Canal cruise I paid 2300 for the room. This time I'm paying 1307. But I lost 100 OBC. Overall saving almost 1k so giving up 100 OBC seems like no big deal
  10. Random thoughts: Princess has nothing to do with high air fares, the maximum loyalty credit per cruise was only $100, in comparing cruise prices over the last decade: per room charge was up year over year until 2020 then its dropped off drastically Internet is no longer per minute anywhere so now I get unlimited at 50% off if I want it. I still get unlimited free laundry, elite tea, Grapevine wine tasting, priority boarding, early booking. I get a new benefit (10% off shore excursions & full priced items in Princess shops onboard). Finally, if losing 100 OBC per cruise (that was the maximum) & an extra comped MTG lunch / dinner breaks my budget then I probably cannot afford to cruise.
  11. Have you looked at the categories on: https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/deckplans/cruiseline.php?line=Princess ?
  12. So the wedding is way WAY over final payment date? Shouldn't be any issue for a CVP or TA to change her name on booking. IMHO book under current name, change after getting new passport
  13. I get mine Saturday per informeddelivery.usps.com and will post
  14. Glad Laundromat on Discovery is still free. And faster than at home
  15. I have a 3×5 mesh bag with 2 carabiner clips that attaches to my pants. Helps that its the perfect size for my passport & credit card. My purse stays in the safe from embarkation to disembarkation. Looks like this but mine is from container store & has side loops
  16. Strange. My CVP does this for me but I've never asked within 45 days. Once my flight is ticketed I stop watching fares
  17. I 2nd using a CVP or TA. My CVP got me my preferred room months ago and the others in that category still are not available as its part of a Circle Japan itinerary and I'm booking as a redeployment rate (2k less)
  18. Actually I think they're just compiled into a single report. Why on earth would any company read each and every individual one? Each cruiser is only 1 of maybe (15 ships × 2000 average cruisers) 30,000.
  19. All of mine went up and my preferred area is not available. Which is why I book ASAP. Like the bump out balconies
  20. 😳 oops. Thought when I left from Everglades on Carnival years ago that it was different from Fort Lauderdale last December. Is there a Port Canaveral too?? Maybe I'm remembering the wrong Carnival terminal ... I know it was Florida
  21. I love my retractable reel. Going on my 8th cruise with it. Princess sticker covers old emblem.
  22. Is that the same for Fort Lauderdale (I hope)!
