  1. Welcome to Cruise Critic! I doubt that you will be able to do anything with USB (maybe?) but an HDMI connection is pretty much the standard now for the TVs *mostly* in use by Princess. Now...you may find it difficult/impossible to physically get to any ports...and then again getting the TV to switch inputs can be challenging. The remotes that are used are NOT the ones that come with the TV.
  2. You are probably correct. Like I said...I have no experience with EZAir. A similar program with NCL totally turned me off of booking air in this manner. I prefer to "make my own mistakes"! 😄
  3. Strictly an opinion here...I have no first hand experience since we don't use EZAir...but if the EZAir cost is reflected in the total cruise fare I don't see why it would not work. Again...have never tried.
  4. I saved a copy of the form as well...but as the poster who originally called it "that dumb form" I quickly realized how much easier it was just to send the text in an email without having to cram long email addresses & such into crazy short data fields. And using the form assumes that you have a scanner...many people do not. You already have to attach your stock info...reduce your attachments with just some body text. Just send an email...
  5. Yep...as far as your kids are concerned (for pricing in SD restaurants) they are all adults.
  6. We stayed at the Embassy Suites just last month (booked through Princess). Unless they have pulled the plug within the last 3 weeks.... And...we like to book via the cruise line because they handle all of the transportation transfers. Just that much less to have to worry about. Can it be done on your own and for less money? Of course...but we like having the "one stop shop" experience for the entire trip. We just consider it part of the total amount.
  7. As the OP for this thread I am extremely surprised at how it has taken off! While the original statement was based on an incorrect premise, it has morphed into a call to educate everyone about how you can save 10% very easily...at least with Princess. I'm glad that it has taken off and "spread the word" about the gift cards. I personally have paid off 2 cruises and am working on the third now. You just can't argue with a 10% savings!
  8. Well, we've never been on the Diamond so it would appear that she changed ships post pandemic.
  9. I am striking out on identifying an assistant (?) CD named "Kelly" on the Caribbean Princess. She is not listed in the sticky thread. She was quite a hoot! I see CD status in her future. Can anybody help with her last name?
  10. Which means that they are not truly the same size. Air tags are slightly bigger...which is why some people are saying that their medallions pop out too easily while using an air tag holder.
  11. Too bad...I've saved a LOT of cash by using them on Carnival and Princess...
  12. It was held last week & half ago on Caribbean P.
  13. Way too small...perhaps room for as many as 10 people to *literally* stand shoulder to shoulder or 4 fair sized chairs. As I stated above...maybe 50 sq feet total. This was just somebody's idea how to use some wasted space.
  14. I've looked on the AARP site. I have purchased both the Princess and Carnival gift cards and saved quite a bit. NCL is conspicuously "missing in action"! Are they available anywhere (discounted...)?
  15. We just got off the Caribbean P last week. This is a very strange usage of real estate! It is literally a "fenced-off" corner along the main passageway (one small opening into this area) which I would estimate to be about 50 square feet in area. There are a couple of casino-style stools pulled up to 2 or 3 wall display panels where you can play some digital versions of casino games. These appear to be the same type of panels that you see next to all the elevators...but seemingly dedicated to casino games. We passed by that area 2 or 3 times a day...NEVER saw anybody sitting there or even *in* the area! It's just WAY too obvious and exposed to passersby if anyone was actually playing anything. No thanks...I'll do my money giveaway to the Casino Dept. in the "privacy" of the actual casino, where everybody is contributing to the casino coffers!
  16. Welcome to CruiseCritic! Just note...you've responded to a thread that is over 1 year old. Many things have changed since the postings from the original timeline. I'm certainly no fan of EZAir...I almost always book direct w/Delta.
  17. Just did this back in October (2022) both ways. $59/person. It's been that amount for at least 4 or b5 years now. Various people have posted that you can do much better by going direct with National Express but I just consider this an "add-on" charge for the total trip. It's just so much easier to let Princess handle the luggage. Once you get your luggage to the pickup point (either Heathrow or Victoria Coach Station) you don't touch it again until it reaches your cabin.
  18. Welcome to CruiseCritic! We just got off the Caribbean Princess last week. There were at least a couple of times where we heard a bit of language from MUTS...not outright vulgar type but what is now considered "mainstream" movie language. I can't reacall *ever* seeing any type of nudity in a MUTS showing...they seem to be very careful about that but at the same time I don't think they edit out any language.
  19. In retrospect...you are absolutely correct! It's definitely NOT an "adult" type dessert...but we didn't know that! We only had a written description of what was offered when we ordered it. As we were picking up the order we just happened to see a full color pic sheet of the two "special" desserts at the "tail-end" of the process lying on the counter...NOT where you order! Had we seen that first we most likely would NOT have ordered.
  20. We just got off the Caribbean Princess. The "Premium Desserts" was an absolute joke! We only tried to get one once. They were only offered at Coffee and Cones on Lido so between people trying to get their coffee and "normal" ice cream and mixed in with those wanting to try the new desserts the line was usually VERY long. Once we got to the counter it became very obvious that the girl did not want to make the "DaVinci" dessert. After watching her finally do so I know why! Each one takes about 5 minutes to prepare...very labor intensive. This completely tied up one person in a 3 person crew while they were doing a rather brisk business with the regular orders. This isn't going to last! They cannot justify the time spent.
  21. LOTS and LOTS of acronyms here on CC (CruiseCritic,...or Credit Card. You have to let the context drive you to the correct one in this case!) There are still a few that I have to think about and some that I need to outright ASK about! Don't be shy! If there's anything you're not sure of...just ask!
  22. I stand corrected! I was going on what was stated in the first post. Hope you get it! Sounds like it would be a great upgrade.
  23. Just got off the Caribbean P for the past 10 days. The only showing that I noticed of the genre mentioned was Jurassic Word-Dominion. Saw it after dark...enjoyed it with the other 3 in my traveling group. To be fair...MOST showings were rather old as @MissP22 states. (All in group are low to late 60s) I'm beginning to see repeats of MUTS that I saw pre-pandemic.
