  1. Will they also provide galley slaves to man the oars?
  2. The only part of the good old days no one, or at least very few, want is the original muster drill. 🤦‍♂️
  3. I just found an excellent review of the concert. Wish you could have all been here, it was great! Actually, I am glad you were not all here because since the audience was small it was possible to get out at the end and get home. We saw Santana there about a week later at a sold out show. (He always sells out the place.). It was a true hassle even to get out of the parking lot, and more than an hour extra to get home compared to the Lesh concert. Phil Lesh and the Midnight Ramble Band | Live Music News (livemusicnewsandreview.com) Please enjoy the review and pictures since you were all not there. BTW, Bethel Woods is at the site of the original 1969 Woodstock concert. And yes I was also there. 😊😊😊
  4. Maybe you should be using the cc name of Lou instead of Sid. You are not even on the ship yet, and this review is beginning to sound like a "Walk on the Wild Side". 🤣
  5. One of my fondest memories from our first cruise which was in August 2002 in the Western Mediterranean was the lemonade that RCL provided at the gangplank when returning to the ship.
  6. And they did not need any Medallion to do that!
  7. I have seen "Jerome" Seinfeld's senior picture in my DW's senior yearbook. He looks the same except for the hair down his back. And if he is supposed to be so cool, how come he did not know the prettiest girl in his graduating class?
  8. The last bass player I saw in concert was Phil Lesh this past summer with the late Levon Helm's Midnight Ramble Band. It was a truly great concert! 😊 Phil Lesh & Friends Concert Setlist at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, Bethel on August 20, 2022 | setlist.fm
  9. Probably not until he boards the ship. 🤦‍♂️🤣
  10. When our cabin was changed and I did not find out until I saw it on the personalizer, our TA said he never got an e-mail while Princess said they sent one. Assuming both are correct, another possibility is that it was sent but then lost in cyberspace.
  11. One thing we do not know that would affect how serious this is is whether or not he was drunk at the time.
  12. We also booked the Prima back in 2021 while it was still under construction, though our cruise is not until August. DW and I both fell in love with an itinerary London (Southampton) to Reykjavik. It includes Brugge, Amsterdam, plus stops in Norway and Iceland including an overnight in Reykjavik. We had a previous cruise scheduled in the Norwegian fjords that ended up a Covid cancellation,. I at first did not realize the ship was still under construction, and the cruise would be in 2023, not 2022. If it was 2022, we would have had our 45th wedding anniversary on the ship. We usually do something extra special for the anniversaries ending in 0 or 5 including some cruises. On our 46th on the ship, I intend to pretend it's our 45th. 😉
  13. I guess we were lucky to have no rain when we did a land trip in Iceland that was in March.
  14. Good advice. And thank goodness for a good Captain, and that the Captain is REALLY in charge.
  15. Is that a new field of study, a new college major? 🤣 It could qualify you to get a job in child abuse, I have a friend whose job used to be the head of the county's child abuse section. It was a tough, very emotionally draining, job. 😒
  16. A suggestion for your time in Paris for 5 days--- a site outside of Paris, Monet's Gardens in Giverny.
  17. We were also on a Mediterranean cruise with multiple embarkation ports. What I was referring to was dropping off our luggage when embarking in Barcelona and then being allowed to get off and explore the city,
  18. OK, thanks, maybe what I should have remembered was in international waters, not in Europe.
  19. I know (at least in the past) you could do this with NCL in Barcelona. Also have done it (on Carnival) in San Juan, Puerto Rico
  20. Lucky for you these boards are anonymous. Otherwise admitting to working for Park West would put you in the crosshairs of lots of posters. 🤣
  21. LOL, I was once called by someone selling some meat package. They finally said why would you possibly not buy this; it's such a good deal. My reply was that I was a vegetarian. That stopped their hard sell 😊
  22. Even with 2 days in Stockholm, I am not sure we could have done everything that we found that looked interesting. But it sure would have been better than 1 day!
  23. Yet one of the first things that happened after the Costa Concordia disaster was that it was mandated that all cruise passengers had to attend a muster drill before the ship embarked. And I think it is safe to say that the cruise lines took the drills more seriously immediately after that.
