  1. I sure hope so first MSc cruise and we have inside YC suite
  2. I have sailed the HAven many times, and have had great Butlers and ones that were ok. We dont need escorts other then on and off the ship in port days to skip the gangway lines, honestly we enjoy the Haven staff much more. Next Haven cruise is January and 1st YC is next september.
  3. Haven Prices have recently got out of control with some exceptions. We have our 4th Haven Cruise in January on the Escape. We are giving MSC a try on the Seascape because we were able to get a Yacht club Inside Suite for $2900 which was cheaper then a Balcony on NCL. We will see how it goes.
  4. Have Cruised Carnival many times as well as NCL for my past 4 out of 5. We much prefer NCL for several reasons listed in no particular order: 1- Drink Package. 2 drinks at a time, also no cap, not that 15 isn't enough but on sea days sometimes we would have more lol. 2- Specialty dining- 2 included as long as you book a Balcony or higher. 3- Passengers. Wife and I our very outgoing and love to have a good time, but even we tend to see the passengers on Carnival get a little to crazy out by the pool and in the bars and lounges. NCL still a fun exciting atmosphere by the pools and whatnot but not to crazy that it gets annoying 4- Ports. Most NCL 7 day cruises hit 4 ports not 3. Almost every Carnival Cruise you get 3 sea days and 3 ports. Even though we have visited most of them many times, we do like 2 sea days instead of 3. 5-THE HAVEN- So right after the restart we were able to win an upgrade to the Haven. We have not booked outside the Haven since. The VIP Service you receive is amazing. Everything from the priority embarkation, amazing staterooms, Butler, Concierge, private Dining room, lounge bar and much more. 6- Food. We are not big foodies but, we do prefer NCL over Carnival. But don't get me wrong, love Guys Burgers, and miss it when on NCL Entertainment- NCL usually wins on this front, but I have not been on the Mardi Gras class ships yet so who knows. I always say no matter what cruise line you decide if you go into it with realistic expectations and a " I'm on vacation and not at work" Mindset you will have fun. We are giving MSC a chance next year as well becasue we love the Haven but I can book an inside YC cabin for less then a Balcony on NCL.
  5. I have the January 6th on the Escape and all my excursions for DR are still available.
  6. We are traveling with another couple in the 2 bedroom Haven on the Escape. Bed will be tight for th couple but sure they will make it work. We decided to get the Haven 2 bedroom instead of 2 balconies as together was the same price lol. Only there 2nd cruise and 1st in Haven so they are excited!
  7. So, I have listened to both sides of this debate and here is my 2 cents. I believe that Kids should be able to utilize all the areas that the Haven allows them to use. But I also understand the frustration to a point regarding children taking over the Haven Hot Tubs and pool. If this is a frustration to you, simply book an adults only Cruise or vacation ( Virgin). Unless NCL decides Haven guests must be 18 ( which will never ever happen) you may want to cruise during times when most children are in school. This is exactly what we do 99% of the time.
  8. Harvest Cay is a great beach day. Again, amazing pool, huge beach, and lots to do. I will say food and drinks are expensive and as far as beer they only serve local beers, and last time i checked they were about $8 or $9 each. We typically spend the morning on the beach or at the pool and then head back to the ship around lunchtime.
  9. None. The 3 bedroom garden villa is only on some of the dawn and jewel class ships
  10. yes I did, and also realized they stated days inn, I booked best western in cocoa BEach lol....wow my eyes are getting worse.
  11. We seen mixed as well but decided to book it anyway, $298 for the ocean front junior suite. We are two couples so splitting it and the room seems large. Also reviews of the restaurant seem great
  12. Nope can not do that. Even if they alllowed it they other couples would be paying a massive amount at that suite price
  13. Yea, unfortunatly we only cruise between September and say March. We prefer less kids, and prices are always much cheaper as well. But will be on the look out.
  14. Well for Balcony with FAS when we travel can always find it for around $3300. But the Haven on the other hand, have not seen one for under about $7200
  15. We are avid NCL Cruisers in the Haven, but the prices have gotten a little crazy. There are deals to be had but not for us lol. We are booked on the Escape in January in the Haven, and have also booked our first MSC Cruise on the Seascape in September in the YC. We are kicking the tires with the YC inside for the simple fact it was cheaper then a Non Haven Balcony on NCL. Wife and I are not foody people, always can find something to eat. Sadly we are 44 and 41 and have already began the decent to loving the Private areas of the Haven. From what i have read and seen through reviews and videos, I have a feeling we may be swithcing over to MSC since there price points are much better. Also the DSC in Haven is $25 PP per day, MSC is still only $14.50PP per day.
  16. I may have missed it, but did you decide to pay and dine, or did you leave?
  17. Wife and I paid about 65% of the cruise so we got the master lol. But yea I think the second bedroom is more important. But, the DOS on EPIC is nice. to bad the Escapes DOS isn't available.
  18. So need some advise. Today is final payment (which we already made) and I am very torn. We currently are booked on the Norwegian Escape 2 bedroom Haven Suite out of Port Canaveral. Today I just noticed that the Epic leaving the same weekend out of Port Canaveral has had price drops in the Haven. I can book the Haven Deluxe Owners Suite with large Balcony for the same price as my Current 2 bedroom on the Escape. We are 2 couples traveling together, Wife and I are avid cruisers last 4 in the Haven. Other couple is second cruise and never stayed in the Haven. Itinerary does't matter to us, but losing the second bedroom is a little bit of a big deal possibly. So My question is would you choose the owners suite on the Epic or stick with the 2 bedroom on the Escape. thanks
  19. So first of All Embarkation us usually a mess. Terminal is a bit small for the Breakaway and can be backed up with guests waiting to get through security while they are still finishing debark. Make sure you enjoy the sailaway going down the Mississippi River, scenic and intersting comparing to leaving out of florida.
  20. Sailed out of new Orleans several times on the breakaway and typically we are off the ship in our car no later then 8:15am, as long as you do the self assist walk off with all your luggage.
  21. They absolutely can. Now I book theough Casinos at sea because I work for a company that partners with NCL casino. I always get the 10% discount. I know not a lot but adds up. Now the best haven deal I have found so far latlely is on the Epic for January. We are booked on the escape 4 of us in a 2 bedroom Haven and total price was $9300. Same weekend on the Epic 2 bedroom Haven suite is $7082. We almost switched but decided to keep the Escape
  22. I am on the same itinerary in January. 2 Bedroom Haven suite. we are on the Starboard side...
  23. So after Final Payment, We were booked in a Balcony and watched the Haven drop heavy as well as our own balcony. We were allowed to changed our reservation from balcony to Haven and just pay the current difference at the time. Worked out great for us.
  24. We stay at the Hyatt right across the street from the cruise terminal easy to walk there I. The morning of embarkation even with luggage. Walking distance to many restaurants and there is an excellent pizza place with bar right next door. Also the Fulton parking garage is also right next door where you can leave your vehicle for the cruise
