  1. First of all, When cruising in the Haven, make sure you cruise in the Haven on a ship that was built with it. Also, you joined 49 minutes ago and would love to hear what lines you have cruised. I
  2. We had the Haven Aft on deck 10 on the Joy a few weeks ago. By far the Bacony makes up for being outside the Haven Complex, our cabin had the door from the bedroom to the balcony as well which we loved!!! Also, people made comments that the Aft Cabins have a lot of vibration, i can say we had hardly any and barely noticed it unless the sturn thrusters were being used when docking.
  3. Yup, My January Cruise says the same thing
  4. Yes Believe they were short Ribs! Honestly gonna miss Q when we cruise the Escape in January. But do like Maderno so guess its a trade off
  5. If you ever signed up while searching for a cruise it enrolls you
  6. I second that, Cruised out of new Orleans many times, Security Line goes very slow and will stop when Waiting area is full. We cruise in the Haven and there is no seperate Haven Security Line just a small room after you check in. Relax and enjoy outside on the patio from the mall till the lines are consistantly moving.
  7. I had the beef Ribs and they were awesome, fall off the bone!
  8. LOL that is funny! We sailed with our daughter and her friend (16 and 17) on the Joy in the Haven Aft Suite, needless to say they learned to knock on the Bedroom door very quick lol
  9. Easiest way is put the 16 year old in your room, and then ask for another key for the room she is staying in.
  10. American Diner Serve amazing Milkshakes, not included but well worth it. My daughter and her friend had one each on embarkation day. They said it was one of the best they ever had
  11. Well speaking as someone who worked onboard ncl ships for 5 years, officers have absolutely nothing to do with ship pricing…. There is your answer
  12. Demand controls pricing! Usually about 4 months prior to the sails date you will see either price drops or price increases. Our cruise in January already started going up for balconies, started at $3500 for 2, now at $3850. So obviously bookings are going faster so they increase pricing to maximize profitability
  13. You can always go there and sit at the bar tops and simply listen to the band if not wanting to eat there.
  14. I will say, We were on the Joy a few weeks ago and was nervouse about Q. What a great hidden surprise, the food was great (portions huge lol) and the live band was great, as long as you enjoy rock and country it is alot of fun.
  15. If you want to get an assigned cabin, simply call and book over the phone. It takes a few minutes but you can get the location you want.
  16. I guess it happens, but I can only tell you from my experience 2 weeks ago from the Joy
  17. Yes, We had a deposit on a Haven Cruise for December 2023, changed the sailing to April 2023, no issues at all becasue it was still far out.
  18. So, We just got back from the Joy, travelled with my wife, daughter and her friend ( 16 and 17). when we booked we were instructed to complete a form giving my wife and I approval to take her friend on the cruise. We completed the form had the parents sign it also had to get copies of there DL's. At check in at the Terminal, we were asked for nothing! Leaving a 16 or 17 year old onboard without parents or guardians may be against the rules but like other shave said never enforced. But i will say they will not be able to get off the ship without parent or guardians. We were in Harvest Cay, Kids slept in and they texted us saying that they were getting off and meeting us at the entrance to Harvest cay. Next text was that security would not alow them off without one of us. So staying onboard, most likely not a problem, getting off without parent will be
  19. Be careful, Some of the these Hotels no longer to the park and cruise package. I am staying at Country Inn and Suites and last year allowed it but there message on the phone now says effective April they will not be doing the park and cruise package anymore.
  20. Booking a new ship prices will always be super high! Also march is Spring break for some areas. We just got off the Joy 2 weeks ago (Haven aft) and just booked the Escape for January. We booked the Haven 2 bedroom and are sailing with another couple. A Balcony was $3500 for two people and was able to get the 2 bedroom Haven for $9k all in for the 4 of us which is a good deal.
  21. We stayed at the YVE for our April 8th cruise out of Miami. Hotel was nice and modern, rooms are very small and bathroom even smaller but for pre cruise hotel it works. Cant beat the location right across the street from Marketplace. I will say the elevators are very very slow and only have two of them. Also Valet Parking was $40 per night
  22. Just stayed 2 nights pre cruise at YVE and enjoyed the stay, cant beat location rooms and bathrooms are small but was still a nice hotel. Elevators are very slow and only have 2.
  23. We sailed out on April 8th and there were 7 ships in port, we arrived at the parking garage at 9am and took us no time at all entering.
  24. We just got off the Joy and Booked the Escape for January. We much rather do the ropes course then the Go garts, dont get me wrong go karts were fun but need to make reservations and is $15PP. Wife and I and another couple booked the 2 bedroom Haven Suite because basically it was the price of 2 balaconies and we would much rather have all the perks of the Haven,
  25. Thanks For the info, We will be there in January and I think for this port we will stay at the Cruise Terminal and enjoy the pool and sun!
