    you are correct. Some how the gate agent didn't know this.??? This was allegedly on Spirit Airlines. I also find it hard to believe that every person on that flight had a passport except for this toddler. But I'm only regurgitating what I read. There has to be more to the story.

    I don't think there are any hard and fast rules for anything for sure . I just read a story about a family of 3 was denied boarding a flight from LAX to San Juan Puerto Rico because the toddler of the family didn't have a passport. šŸ˜²

    I love the bigger ships. There is soo much to do on them. I do understand though that they are not everybody's cup of tea.

    There have been reports where people have not had the correct documentation at embarkation and had someone at home fax a copy and they were allowed to sail. @Ferry_Watcher

    Better to have it and not need it. I think as long as you have matching first names and same birthday you should be good. Hopefully @Ferry_Watcher will see this and give you a more definitive answer

    not all birth certificates have a raised seal anymore. Some now have watermarks. As long as its issued by the state it's ok. šŸ™‚

    After doing more reading it looks pretty straightforward. I canget direct flights on American airlines where the prices are pretty good, use Galveston express to get us to the Harbor House hotel, and dinner at Willie Gā€™s. how does that game plan seem? Any flaws ?

    I was reading here a few months back where the dinner buffet was reduced to basically one or 2 stations so not much assortment. has anything changed since then?

    I was asking how to get to the pier because what i was reading it wasnt easy to do. does the shuttle pick you up the day before and take you to a hotel near the pier or do you have to stay at a hotel near the airport if you cone in the day before? sorry im all over the map with this.

    yep Carnival thinks people are stupid. The same deal with the VIFP offers for the drink package using RU0. It's cheaper to book the cabin and the beverage package separately than to take this offer. šŸ„µ

    And just how does one get to the pier from the airport coming in a day early? I have read that it is not easy to rent a car and return it at the port like it is in Florida ports.

    Just go to the casino cage and claim it. Theyll ask if you are playing slots or tables. We play the slots so they add it to our cards. Never said tables so not sure if they just give you chips
