Booked with TA. Just printed my tickets and health form. We are 28 days tilour cruise.

MSC is very strange which is no surprise to many. My daughter who is on the same cruise with us and booked through the same TA was able to print her boarding pass.

Why do you have to get the tickets and luggage tags through your TA? My upcoming cruise says the same thing. Ive booked many cruises with TA’s on many cruise lines but never had to go through my TA for my documents. (Confused)

Since you asked has this ever happened to anyone before I can emphatically say no. Never had an offer for $50. 😉

On the Celebration we ate in Rudi’s one night. Once we saw they had tablecloths we booked it every night for the rest of the cruise. 🤪

Seems lately they are catching on and jacking up the prices for a YIN. Leaving from Brooklyn can still net you a good deal. I am booked on an 11 day cruise from Port Canaveral and a YIN was close to $2900

How long has this company been in business, 2 weeks? They don’t seem to be able to figure out how to run a successful cruiseline. They can build all the beautiful ships they want but if they continue to tarnish their reputation who is going to cruise them? They used to have great pricing which lured us in but recently the pricing is getting to be close to other mainstream lines, especially their “FREE” drink package. I have read too many post to count that say they wouldn’t cruise MSC unless you book the Yacht club. That’s very telling.

Thats what I’m afraid of. I have 2 other bookings on MSC besides our Meraviglia cruise next month. I keep reading that it’s a crapshoot if you aren't in yacht club. Any details you can provide as to why?

I totally understand that. Id be the same way but my kettle boils fast and then all bets are off. seems like he was setting you up from the get go with no business card and then never around. I haven’t had but one bad steward in all my years of cruising so its very rare you find a bad apple. Doesn't sound like he will be around long if he stays the course he is on.

You guys got off to a slow start but didn’t disappoint! I would have probably complained a lot sooner in regards to that cabin steward who was MIA for the better part of the week.

Ok a little embarrassed to ask as we don't ever cruise in suites or high end cabins but thinking about a 4 day cruise in the YC. What does one tip the butler. I certainly wouldn’t want to undertip.

Thanks for the review. Horizon is one of my favorite ships,especially in the Havana area. we got off the Celebration the day you got off the Horizon. We also used Sas and luckily had no problems . Ours was also subcontracted and the vehicle wasnt marked. The driver said I’m in a black Mercedes. Oh ok, that narrowed it down, but we found him.

Looks like you are right about that. I asked on the Royal board and they said no tax in ports. Cant say about other cruise lines. Thanks for the question. I learned something today.😊

Maybe because you had the package?? If they didn't swipe your card there is no way they could of charged you tax unless they wrote down your folio number but that doesn't seem to be the case either.

Do they charge tax on soda and drinks while still in the ports in Florida? How about if you have the soda package or drink package.

Did you look on your final receipt that they left in your mailbox to make sure it wasn’t added? on Royal we had a port stop in San Juan. Bought a drink while still in port and they charged tax on it.
