  1. It's like a different world back there. My wife and I stayed there last year and only ventured out to get lunch and at night. Went to get a Guys burger for the wife which was right near the main pool with the big screen blaing and the DJ playing music and the sound of kids having fun. I told her grab your burger and let's get back. So quiet and peaceful. It's a great location aft deck 5 with a great view of the wake.
  2. Being in a Havana cabin is the best. You have your own section of the ship, with pool, hot tubs, and bar. you'll love it.
  3. One would think that a company that has been in business 50 years would be a little more efficient unless they are being like insurance companies, Deny and hope they go away.
  4. Like there wasn't enough negative stuff about MSC. We have 3 cruises booked but if the one we are taking next month is filled with rude pax it might be one and done.
  5. That's cool! WTG! enjoy! my wife and I drop $25 each in the casino every cruise and we don't get any offers.
  6. Thank you. Luckily we only ate in the MDR the 2 elegant nights. The first night the waiter was basically there by himself. He was delivering the bread, filling the water glass, delivering the food to the tables, refilling the water glasses. He was moving very fast but it was hard to keep up. Didn't have time to ask us if we wanted anything from the bar. I don't blame the waiter, I blame Carnival for being short staffed. The second night we got bread from the asst waiter but no butter. Never saw him again. Asked the waiter for butter and also told him we wanted something from the bar before he took off. Looked like they had the full compliment of dining team but the one guy looked like he was new. Hey we all have to start somewhere. At the end of the day it's all good. 😀
  7. I'd suggest Celestial strings as a do not miss show. The elevators on Horizon are great. The ones on Celebration were a claustrophics nightmare.
  8. the recordings always exist when they are in Carnivals favor. If it's in your favor they mysteriously can't be found.
  9. Thanks for that answer. One less question I need to ask. lol We were on the sailing as well. You did better than us, The first elegant night we didn't even get anything to drink except for water. You and my wife might be twins as she got the same thing at Chibang. Thanks for the very detailed review. 🙂
  10. Thank you so much for the reply. I have read post about all pools being 6 foot deep. Glad that is not the case with Meraviglia. Thanks again 🙂
  11. I totally agree with what you say. I don't need any convincing.🙂
  12. Well let's hope that OP gets the ES reduction since that was the reason the denied the 110% price match.
  13. Ok the way you capitalized ”everything” made it seem like you were stating it as fact. it also doesn’t put Carnival in a good light to have a policy with unwritten rules that the consumer doesn’t know about. Doesn’t put the consumer on a level playing field. Carnival also has a rule for early saver 5 day bookings. It says early saver is only available until 76 days before sailing. OP booked at the 71 day mark and after applying for the credit was told you booked ES. Again Carnival not going by written rules.
  14. So do you know for a fact that not everything wasn't the same? The Op states they were. Same ship, same date, same category, same cabin type as the rules stipulate. That is everything that is required according to Carnival.
  15. Just curious about this as it is our first time on MSC and I’ve never encountered this on other cruise lines.
  16. Could you point out exactly where it says that it has to be the same vifp offer as I can’t see that? You will be asked to provide the lower rate amount and where the rate can be found. Lower rate must: i) be for the same ship, sail date, stateroom category and number of guests; and ii) be available for booking at the time Carnival reviews your completed Lowest Price Guarantee claim form.
  17. We usually do that but the service was bad on the first elegant night, When we went back to the MDR on the 2nd elegant night we got put in the same section. Thankfully we only ate in the MDR twice which was an anomaly. We usually either do the buffet or MDR all week. The buffet was pretty pedestrian. Since I just retired, we splurged all week.
  18. thanks for the correction. 🙂 Guess Miss Holly is good to go then. 🙂 Walked all over that ship last week and never noticed. lol
  19. they did have orange soda last week on the Celebration at Miami slice.
  20. I dont think that is the case since they offered to let them add a person for a higher fee.
  21. You won't find that on the excel class unless you are on deck 16 or above.
  22. Could the OP’s situation be different since the UK usually have different booking rules?
  23. I don't know which ones were tipped or not but I tipped extra in all of them. Even Cucina and Chibang. They were working their butts off. As for the 2 nights we ate in the MDR, both elegant nights the service was not very good the first night and just a tad better the second. No extra.
