  1. Think the web page screen shot says it all. Except for the reduced deposit and extra OBC the terms are the same. You need to pay the $100 with a credit card. If your cruise was booked with a TA it will AUTOMATICALLY be assigned to that TA unless you tell them otherwise. You can arrange payment using whatever with them.
  2. I would check now to fix things as there are limited seats. How did you book? If with a TA they can fix it. Otherwise Try online first. If not call Celebrity near opening on a weekday morning is usually less waiting. An 11am transfer would be strange as you need to be off the ship by 9-9:15. Something doesn't make sense.
  3. Every balcony on Shilouette has partial shade unless it is late afternoon and you are sailing directly away from the sun. Lots of photos in the cabin listings.
  4. The OP said he had some "two dozen transactions " with Celebrity. And that he would have noticed a larger amount. Anyone had a cruise with two dozen transactions with Celebrity? Seems not the TAs fault, but rather a bit of chaos from the beginning. If he didn't notice a $300+/- error in his statement why such a big deal paying it? I have gone to checkin and been told I owed $$ regarding a MoveUp. Had a choice pay it or not cruise.
  5. Actually it is your job to verify your statements as correct. Would you have noticed if they charged you twice? When you booked, cancelled and then rebooked did it not seem a good idea at the time to check your account? Chill and enjoy your cruise. You had a few hundred of their money for a while. Also remember if you use a TA everything must go through your TA.
  6. All cabins on Equinox were redone in 2019. The embarkation lunch is nice in that you are out of the hustle and noise of boarding. The menu has been different every time. Think of a regular MDR lunch just like when you last cruised.
  7. The OP Showed 4 appetizers that were soups and salads. There were also 4 classic appetizers available. Personally a soup or salad or a shrimp cocktail is great. The appetizers we had on our last cruise had scallops - which in reality was 1 sea scallop. Similar with most other "specials".
  8. Yes it is possible to ask. Can't hurt. We usually move the table from inside our room to the veranda.
  9. The Celebrity shuttle from the People Mover in Venice is simple. Convenient? There was a bit of walking needed. Easier than the train or a Flixbus? Certainly it is a shuttle to the pier.
  10. The OP asked a question got got probably as an answer. Giving medical advice to try another medication doesn't help the OP. MY DW saw her doctor two days ago. He wanted to change one of her medications, but said to wait until we return from a holiday because of the slight chance of needing care when away because of the new med. Made sense to me. To the OP - Our experience was on the Century. Long ago.
  11. The sparkling wines completely vary depending on where you are cruising and what they have in stock. DW has always liked the Prosecco.
  12. You need to decide. There is free wifi and good mobile phone service in every port. We do not usually use our phones except when on port. Others are on theirs all the time. The service like every ship is very slow compared to at home.
  13. The TA possibly had group space with WiFi and a beverage package included. I suspect the OP will find that they have paid gratuities as well when they get the copy of booking from the TA and Celebrity.
  14. Menus and preparation vary only very slightly from ship to ship. You should be happy on board any ship in the X fleet
  15. The Retreat is an area on board for suite guests to use. You need to look at suites. Note there are only a few sky suites. Depending on where you are looking to they might call them Aqua Sky Suites. All suites are much more expensive than any of the others. Would a handicapped room help?
  16. Sort of. They were are available for limited hours that are posted by their computer. I found their knowledge about ports limited. Helpful for reservations on board and ship's excursions.
  17. Yes need to go to Safety at Sea then click on Transatlantic cruises. Updated 23 March. The link in the prior post is now dated today. Happening as we post.
  18. It takes 2 weeks for a reply from special needs. Definitely need patience. A call would not likely be helpful. In 2019 you could get an INR test on board. Cost was $120 and insurance did not cover. No idea today.
  19. The self testing is no longer required on Transatlantic and some Transpacific cruises. Not bringing the cards would be silly. They take very little space. Are light weight and the rules might change without notice.
  20. Still free in the US until the pandemic declaration withdrawn. Also any type of insurance - private or public - cover vaccinations with a few having a small copay.
  21. Suggest you go to the Celebrity website and read the complete description.
  22. To your specific questions. The lobster quality (fair to poor) and charge for a second 🦞 has been discussed in too many posts. There is no Elite evening event. You simply go to any bar except World Class or Martini Bar to get your drink. The drink policy for non Elite has not changed. If a spouse simply let guest relations know and they will have your point total. No masks required on board unless covid cases increase then requirements announced. The staff still work very hard to please. No changes that effected our cruise in a material way. A small charge for room service on a cruise that cost a few thousand $$ . . .
  23. I got a pop-up notification for a text message on my android phone. Notification needs to be enabled both for texts and the Celebrity App
  24. Thanks for sharing this. 40 years ago men were chastised for wearing a sports coat on formal night. 20 years ago for not wearing a only a dress shirt - no coat or tie. Today on our last cruise the MDR had lots of sweatshirts and jeans on Chic night. Simply the facts.
