  1. Port schedules change often. Last 5 cruises have changed or missed one port on each cruise. On your the order is different. Does that matter?
  2. Infiniti is showing a bit of wear but is in better condition than most NCL and Princess ships. Remember that Celebrity was pitched as Modern Luxury. Compared to the other mass market brands it still is. Seems pretty much everything has taken a step down. I would take many reviews on CC as a complaint and not a real review. CC has had posters change from positive and helpful to way to much negativity. Would happily sail Infinity if they had an itinerary we liked. That and price should be your decision maker.
  3. St Petersburg Russia was scheduled until the Ukraine War broke out. Cancelled almost the next day. Nicaragua was a port stop until the fight between the gangs/drug related and the government became more intense. Cancelled soon after. Cruising is a great way to get a tiny taste of a country. My best example is a shore excursion to Paris. 2 hours each way on a bus and 3 hours to "see" Paris. To see Isreal or Egypt you need a week or preferably more. As for Isreal as a port stop - 50/50.
  4. Thank you for the smile. Think I will get one for my cruise in 2 weeks? Possibly not. Again I might have deleted it as it got lost in the twenty some emails I get each week.
  5. Probably easiest if each can book for the same time and date. Then request same table on boarding.
  6. Just show up and do it at check in at the pier.
  7. Really simple. Get on board and see how the regular service works for you. If you are within a few hundred miles of land likely regular will be fine. If on a TA/TP cruise than probably need high speed and at times that will be VERY slow. Same for cruises to Antarctica and Greenland. Much of your download speed depends on how close you are to the router. Since not streaming videos etc, you could move to get the few documents you might need. No need to choose now. Also you might do a search as there are several threads on exactly this recently.
  8. As said 24 hours ahead. Takes a minute or less. Go to checkin on the app.
  9. I asked the executive staff. The $10 notice is not new and one needs to read the entire notice. Not just the first paragraph. Not cancelling specialty restaurants certainly should have a cost. The $10 mentions a cover charge. Not for select dining as no cover charge there. Much ado about another confusing wording by the IT staff.
  10. Have never had a bag drop line. Always just handed to the porter. Your hotel concierge can also print them for you.
  11. If you book additional excursions they will all be priced in USD. Compared to the thousands of $$ you will spend on your cruise the loss due to exchange rates is small. Really much the same for those travelling to Europe this summer as the USD has fallen by some 10% recently thus more expensive. Travelling out of one's home country certainly has an element of chance in how the exchange rate might change.
  12. Last flight out of FLL we were there in plenty of time. While checking in several people who had missed their 9:15 flight as the luggage cutoff is 45 minutes before takeoff tried to rebook. They were told standby with nothing likely till the next day. All it takes is a delay in disembarking, a traffic accident creating a traffic jam or any of a couple dozen other issues to delay one's arrival.
  13. Have never been "offered" the once a day service. Have seen door hanger type ads for the service and a note in the daily planner on every cruise. They do not push the green service. You need to request.
  14. Interesting. Most people on my rollcalls are looking for private tours. For NOLA you could spend a week and not see it all using the trolley. From the Old Mint, WWII Museum to the French Quarter simply tour about using a day pass on the trolley.
  15. In the perfectly clear concise language that Celebrity always uses (couldn’t resist) it appears that cruise requires fully vaccinated even though it is not technically a TA or TP cruise. Have a friend on that cruise who gave me info.
  16. About 25% of slots are available for prebooking. Just do it on board.
  17. Our new company president is taking over an organization with bookings continuing at record levels. Will be interesting to see how things evolve over the next year.
  18. The requirements in Australia/NZ are country mandates. Was the same for Bermuda, Colombia and others recently. The last testing requirement set by Celebrity was for TA/TP cruises Ken with your military background for following orders would it not be lots simpler to just bring a couple of baggies with your tests to the pier than try to flummox your phone regarding the date.
  19. Not really. He will be your responsibility. They do have sitters you can hire. That is about it.
  20. The on board booking "promotion " has been the same for how many years?
  21. Your excursion is new. Suggest your post would get better answers at the ports forum or your roll call.
  22. You will be upgraded to Elite. Probably already are - check the website. There is no real happy hour. Just show your card at any bar from 5-7 for drinks at no charge. Gratuity is up to you. No receipt as nothing is billed.
  23. How about sharing them. Am sure someone here can translate. In the retreat you have premium drinks included. Not elsewhere with CALL.
