  1. Southwest will. I've taken advantage of that many times.😎
  2. I just sailed the Spirit. Jacked a few unopened bottles of water from the Skagway train when it returned and easily carried them right back on the ship in plain sight. I even waved them in front of the dude and he said just carry it through the metal detector. Nobody cared.
  3. Why would 13 people want/need to sit at a single table. If I'm at a table with more than six, I'm not hearing what the others are saying. Would you miss those other seven people that much for an hour if you couldn't be watching them eat?
  4. Bingo. Although, while they would like it to be quickly, quietly and at minimum cost will be the marching orders.
  5. News flash. This just in. There are crazy people in this world. That's okay, because victims can easily get tens of millions of dollars from large corporations who had literally nothing to do with making the crazies crazy. Is that okay? Of course not. It's (certainly) not a perfect world. It was once upon a time, but then there was this thing with an apple.... Large corporations have much better lawyers than the victims. They have to. They'll pay out a million or so with robust NDAs. It's a marketing cost. Have you folks not lived in the world of large corporations? Some have spent over half their lives there. That's the real world. Not what you read in the funny papers. If somebody does get ten million, you'll never read about it. Or, do you think that they'll turn down the offer and pay a lawyer their life savings to drag out in the (international?) courts for years/decades?
  6. But the Pearl does have an OL. Didn't you find it?
  7. I sailed the Pearl in December in an inside. Had no problem with wind. 🤣
  8. Are you kidding?! I'm drinking, eating and enjoying the ship. Ain't no "sitting around." I'm on a cruise?? Why do I care if my cabin is ready? Nap time will be about noon-thirty tomorrow. 🤣
  9. I've posted the secret recipe (which I've used many times) here before. The fact that many/most are not willing/able to learn doesn't change things. Enjoy your crowded, crazy NCL transfer bus. I'll be chillin' in my Uber/Lyft and get to the correct terminal long before you. How do you know that Uber is a "nightmare?" How many times have you used Uber in Seattle? Did you ask for advice here before jumping in? Just asking.
  10. What gave you the feeling that the NCL transfer would be easier? I've done it both ways and will likely never use the crappy NCL transfer again. Uber/Lyft is SOOOO easy and quick in Seattle. disclaimer: yes, I will post the secret (again) if somebody asks me nicely.😎
  11. Those coupons mean nothing. Prepare to pay.
  12. Did you have refunds for two cancelled excursions? That would explain them.
  13. Have you been on an AK cruise? The Encore itineraries this August leave on Sundays and the flights would be much easier. Hawaii will still be there when you can cruise without a high risk/high stress day-of flight.
  14. Of course they can. Have you not heard of non-refundable fares?
  15. Are you planning to only sail those lines where mechanical failures never occur?
  16. I made MDR reservations on the Sun last July/August for 5:30 every night that I didn't have specialty dining. Took about ten minutes. If we ate somewhere else, they were cancelled. Did it help? I honestly don't remember. Didn't hurt.😎
  17. Speaking as a grump, I hate anything that diminishes an observation lounge. YMMV.
  18. You've never seen a drunk old man on a cruise before?
  19. Thanks for the recommendations. We generally enjoy our Bloody Mary's with breakfast and the boat tour serves cocktails (included), so driving is out of the question. The rep at Kauai Taxi has been great to work with so it should be very enjoyable. Lesson learned: the tour website indicates 1:15 check-in and four to five hour duration. I called them (fortunately) and was told that while they begin check-in at 1:15, the boat actually sails at 2:00 - 2:30. They time the return for sunset, which is 7:01 PM. So, while I originally scheduled the return pick up for 6:30, I had to push it back to 7:30.
