  1. Disregard, please. Wrong board. That's what happens when planning 2 cruises at once 😁
  2. How about the Salty Dog Grill on Enchanted on embarkation day? A burger by the pool sounds like another good alternative.
  3. Lucky you, always looking your best on embarkation day. Some of my past embarkation pix have been horrific. Folks may be travel weary, rushed, tired, hot, cranky, excited, or elsewise not looking their fabulous best when they arrive at the terminal for a quick snapshot. The photo I have uploaded for my last few cruises has my hair looking decent, lipstick on, and a happy, relaxed expression. Look good, feel good, right?
  4. You can get an Uber from Park Port Canaveral to the port if the shuttles are not efficient enough for you. I did once right after the startup last November when they were short drivers and vans. I don't recall how much, but it was worth it to me, since back then they had stricter adherence to boarding times. 5 - 10 minutes ride I parked with them again in April and they had everything together by then. They do load and go by cruise line, and first come, first served. If you do Uber, tell them you are at the parking lot facility, not at the Radisson front door, so they can find you easier.
  5. You will get more up to date info by calling the hotel directly, rather than asking here on a cruise related chat site.
  6. Once the E docs - Guest Ticket Booklet - are available, the bag tags will be the last or second to last page. I personally save the whole thing as a PDF and then print the bag tag page from the PDF but you can probably print the single page directly from the E doc. You don't need to print the whole 12 pages.
  7. Enchantment is currently sailing from Ft Lauderdale. Perhaps someone recently or currently on board can comment.
  8. I like to have my bearings ahead of time, rather than stand in the middle of the fray, holding up traffic, looking around like a lost tourist. TIA
  9. The simple solution is to put a few people between you and your cabin mate in line. 2 bottles in each person's carry on. The scanner guys do not look at cabin numbers, so have no idea that there will ultimately be 4 bottles in one stateroom.
  10. Go to YouTube and search HAL Rotteradam Cabin. Many people who post videos of their cabins start with a picture of the door and cabin number.
  11. Hi, no I'm on HAL Rotterdam. We're in port 8 - 4. You could contact Mystic Man and see if your port hours can fit in. I haven't reached out to them in a while to see if there is progress, but the HAL roll call is still pretty sleepy. Different demographic than Celebrity (my usual line of choice) , I guess.
  12. For some creepy reason, Princess has these events in the atrium. The area is usually full of Aqualung* type spectators. Unless you harbor exhibitionistic tendencies, best to stretch in the gym or in your cabin, as Potstech indicated * Jethro Tull reference. Young'uns, look it up.
  13. They do know to look for the signs, but the very good ones know that it is easier and better to access Princess's normal T2 from the 17th St end of the port, not the main Eller Drive entrance.
  14. You might get everything done at Bealls (pronounces bells) . It's a Florida department store, not Macys, but certainly not Wal-Mart / Target. There is one in Indian Harbor Beach, south on A1A from PC. You can get ideas of their offerings on their website. https://www.beallsflorida.com/
  15. This has always been my theory. Same with the "one bell up, two down". It is the same on all cruise ship elevators, always has been. Just pay attention, people. Listen for the dings, or look at the arrow. No need to ask "going up?" every time the elevator door opens.
  16. Maybe @Aviator of the Seas can confirm for us next time he posts. He lives locally and always has great up to date info. Agree with PP, I always liked to ride up to the fort and walk back down, shopping and cocktailing along the way. This past May, a cab charged me $25 to ride up to El Convento 😡, which is about half way. It cut into my mojito budget for sure!
  17. Great, informative review. Much more helpful than the usual "don't get off the ship here, people are unfriendly". Thanks for posting. I will be there in a few weeks, and also want to get the ferry to Trois Islet. I'm guessing "near the dock" would mean that if I exited the ship from the main pier, I would walk towards the right and along the waterfront to find it. In previous visits, there have been white vendor tents along the walkway. Am I heading in the correct direction to find the ferry? Do I recall a carousel down there? Thanks.
  18. Exactly. However, OP sure got a lot of clicks for himself/herself. If that was the plan, it was successful.
  19. I also get weary of the "plenty of food on the ship" comment. I used to mention also this way back when Rum Runners and booze smuggling used to be a hot topic. It's not always about saving $$, or the availability of food, it's about convenience. I may be just back from a shore excursion, relaxing on my balcony in casual clothes, getting dressed for dinner, getting ready for a shower... There are many reasons I may not want to venture out to the Lido (or a bar) at any given time.
  20. That guy who asked if you can speak English is famous here on Cruise Critic. I cannot remember on which line the post lives, but he has been at it for about a dozen years. People still report when they are approached by him, have told him they know he is a famous scammer! There are even photos of him - it's kind of like a Bigfoot sighting . How fortunate for you 😆
  21. Bumping this because I have the same question. I plan to visit a shop in Trois Ilet, the owner said is is easy to get the ferry over from near the cruise pier. I can read a map and street signs, am not directionally challenged or concerned about wandering around a bit, but my French is non-existent. It would be appreciated if anyone can offer idiot proof walking directions and distance from the cruise pier to the ferry dock. Bonus for approximate schedule and/or frequency. I did find on TripAdvisor that the fare is 7 Euro. Thanks
  22. One more hint - I line mine with a freezer size/strength resealable bag. When I want cold water (which is often) , I just pour the melted ice water out of the baggie into a glass. Room stewards are never surprised by this request, so it must be common.
  23. This ^^. Or, I make a notes folder for each cruise that includes the "boarding pass", a photo of my passport, the vax card (tho I guess you don't need that anymore...), any boarding info I may need. This way, it's right on your phone for quick access. No wifi or app needed, as those can indeed be wonky in the terminal. People behind you in line will thank you!
