  1. Beach Limerz is in the opposite direction of Turners, and not nearly as far. $25 to Turners sounds about right (tho you can take the city bus for $2 - 3). Last time I went to Beach Limerz it was $7 (just before Covid). Like everything else in the world, it has probably increased a bit.

  3. I am also on Rotterdam scheduled to Bonaire on a Monday (in Feb), and with another, larger ship in port with us. So, given that my sailing has the same parameters as the OP's, I now won't be surprised if we get a similar letter from the Captain on Friday night. Disappointed, but not surprised. Always good to be prepared.
  4. I have a Port Everglades app on my phone, and just checked Feb 4. It shows assignments a month out. It shows Zandaam @ T 29, New Statendaam @ T 26, and Rotterdam @ 19. T 29 is quite a distance from the others, so walking would not be an option. I have never found an error in that app, and it does make sense, as the Z is the smallest of the 3, and could make it up to and navigate around the far pier best.
  5. Following as well, I board in 30 days for 3 weeks. Thanks in advance for all the info.
  6. On Enchanted last month I received a flyer offering a very attractive price for a "taster" type service (foot, hand, scalp, that sort of thing), including "back and shoulder" massage. It was, according to the flyer, attached to my loyalty level. Imagine my surprise when it turned out to be all that was advertised, but with a wonderful full body massage, instead of just my stiff shoulders. I was thinking, -"here comes an argument at check out time", but enjoyed it anyway. No price argument, no upsell, no hard product sell, and without asking, she told me I could do it all again, same price, before I went home. Therapist was Ruvy, and as @Lady Arwen says, just ask if there are going to be any specials once you are on board. Then ask again in a day or so. They really would prefer to be working rather than standing around. ETA: I have learned over the years that the key to NOT getting any product sales, is to NOT check anything off on the complaint list. Telling them you have stress, headaches, and crow's feet is only asking for them to offer to solve the issues.
  7. Did you ask the hotel if they have a shuttle that goes to the port? I’ve stayed at Wingates a few times when I was still traveling for work, and they all had a logo’d shuttle van. if they don’t go that far, they probably have a local company they recommend.
  8. Celebrity Beyond rescued a boat with 19 on board on Jan 2. Sounds like a lot of people deciding to try and live free or die in the new year.
  9. Perhaps if post to a few upcoming roll calls, someone will stop up at the salon and ask for you.
  10. https://pevvesseltraffic.broward.org/webx/# You'll need to wait a few weeks and check again, it only shows a week out. On a side note, the Rotterdam is also sailing from PE on Feb 4, so 3 HAL ships in port on the same day. The sail away cam watchers will be besides themselves with excitement!
  11. Here is the PE web page. Millennium is at T25 this week. You can confirm your exact date as you get within 2 weeks or so. T25 is the nice terminal, so I would assume they would use it any time there are no bigger or newer X ships in port. https://pevvesseltraffic.broward.org/webx/
  12. That's the exact mapping program I saw recently in the newest Princess ship's TV. I liked it because you could zoom in or out for as much or as little detail that you wanted. It was also great to check what islands we were passing.
  13. There is a decent beach right next to the pier, easily walkable. More info can be found on the St Croix page, found in the Ports of Call section. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/99-st-croix/
  14. Note that half of the landscape crew did not hesitate to gawk at the properly dressed woman...
  15. The schedule is posted on vinow dot com
  16. Seven euro round trip. USD not accepted in the machines, I believe credit cards may be, but I am not sure. Easy to find, walk right about 10 minutes as you leave the cruise ship dock. There was just one attendant a few weeks ago when I was there. She had limited English, and could not do currency exchange for a loud, embarrassingly insistent group who were trying to get to a beach.
  17. My HIA booking for February included 1 Tamarind, 1 Pinnacle Grill and 1 Canaletto. 21 days, perhaps that makes a difference.
  18. I know I am in the minority on Cruise Critic on this matter, but food has low importance in the list of reasons I cruise. Perhaps because I traveled for business for many years and ate at restaurants so very much. I eat to live now, not live to eat. Blu holds no interest to me. To me, the beauty of a B2B is not packing up in the middle. So, disrupting turn around day simply for access to a different restaurant would not even be a consideration. Do let us know what you decide.
  19. Celebrity offers 8 and 9 nights to A B and C from Ft Lauderdale.
  20. Yes, I was just there a few weeks ago.
  21. Check with Aristocat. We had a 7 -2 port time last May and they did a charter for us that worked well. You'll need a minimum of 10 - 12 for them to go. We did not do their regular Jost Van Dyke trip due to time constraints, rather we went right to White Bay. www.aristocatcharters.com
  22. If you are a AAA member, they have an affinity Visa that pays 3% cash back on all travel (cruise, hotel, airfare, car rental), grocery, and restaurants, and pays 5% cash back on gas.
  23. My first thought was "then branch out from the Holland America, there's a lot more interesting cruise lines!"
  24. This absolutely bears repeating. It seems that many people new to balcony cruising don't realize they are, in some cases, inches away from a stranger. Speak, and act accordingly!
  25. Just off the Enchanted and another passenger also gave me this idea. I only found ONE bartender all over the ship could make a Dry Manhattan, in spite of the fact that I said each time I ordered, "That's with DRY vermouth, not sweet". I don't have time to type all the variations that I got over the 10 days, it actually became comical. For the uninitiated, it's not one of those ridiculous blender concoctions that people drink only on a ship. It's a classic cocktail with two ingredients. Three, if you count the ice. Bourbon, and dry vermouth.
