pattycruisealot21 replied to geocruiser's topic in Cruise Fashions & Beauty
Yees it definitely looks like a fun project!! We'll definitely be doing this pre-cruise fun project a few days before and have it ready for our sailing date! We'll have to watch a few tutorial videos before doing it though π -
Woow such stunning views!! Thanks so much for sharing, this is an activity that has been in our mind for a few years now and for one thing or another we don't end up doing it but this thread really got us excited about maybe doing it this year!! π

Windstar now requiring self-testing pre-embarkation
pattycruisealot21 replied to Pudgesmom's topic in Windstar Cruises
It's so unfortunate, I have been seeing this more and more with cruise lines that they are now leaving cruisers on their own for testing which makes it very stressful. Not sure if this may be helpful, but if you are embarking out of the Vancouver port, there is a testing clinic right next to the cruise ship terminal in Vancouver inside the Vancouver Convention Centre which is soo convenient for us cruisers!! You can book an appointment online and I heard they also accept walk-ins and they have very affordable prices. Here is the link in case you want to check them out https://covid-medical.ca/covid-19-test-book-online/ -
How Dressy is Elegant Night - 4 night Cruise
pattycruisealot21 replied to cfreas's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Have you guys seen ladies with long dresses on gala night lately? I Know before it was a thing but not sure if its been so much lately. Do you guys think that a long dress for the gala night is too much? With Covid I haven't had a chance to use it so I was thinking of wearing it for our next cruise. -
Testing Site at Canada Place closing
pattycruisealot21 replied to SharonN's topic in Holland America Line
Yeah the CVM Medical clinic that is in Canada Place next to the cruise ship terminal will be open again as of July 1st. I spoke with a very nice lady in their customer service line which she explained they had to close for renovations but will be back up and running on July 1st with no problem. @Storylady Personally, we also don't like doing it ourselves onboard. The Wi-Fi on board makes me a little worried and I wouldn't trust it since there will be so many users trying to do the same thing the day before disembarking. My husband and I have travelled to the US a few times this year and we just got back from our cruise a week ago. We always get tested with CVM Medical, we absolutely love the service and locations! Maybe give them a try at their airport location or their cruise ship terminal clinic once it opens again and you'll see their great service π Here is their link in case it may be useful for anyone: https://covid-medical.ca/covid-19-test-book-online/ -
Where are you getting Covid test before sailing Alaska?
pattycruisealot21 replied to ojaidenny's topic in Alaska
My husband and I have travelled to the US a few times this year and we just got back from our cruise not long ago. We always get tested with CVM Medical, they have a clinic at the airport and one right in the downtown Vancouver area next to the cruise ship terminal which was closed for renovations but will be open again from July 1st. We have gotten tested for different trips at both clinics and we absolutely love the service and locations!! Here is the link in case you want to check them out https://covid-medical.ca/covid-19-test-book-online/ I hope this helps π -
Antigen test pre cruise Vancouver
pattycruisealot21 replied to Dirose09's topic in Holland America Line
Yeah my husband and I have tested at their airport location and now at the new clinic near the cruise terminal in Vancouver and we have n complaints, always get such great service! We are going on the Alaska cruise at the end of May and we have pre-booked online both of our Covid tests. -
I have been seeing this more and more with cruise lines that they are now leaving cruisers on their own for testing which makes it very stressful. Personally Wi-Fi on board makes me a little worried and I wouldn't trust it since there will be so many users trying to do the same thing the day before disembarking. So just in case that self testing option does not work well due to Wi-Fi connection on the cruise then not sure if this may be helpful or an option for you but there is a testing clinic that is actually right next to the cruise ship terminal in Vancouver inside the Vancouver Convention Centre which is soo convenient for us cruisers!! You can book an appointment online and I heard they also accept walk-ins. Here is the link in case you want to check them out https://covid-medical.ca/covid-19-test-book-online/

Not sure if this may be helpful but there is a testing clinic that is actually right next to the cruise ship terminal in Vancouver inside the Vancouver Convention Centre which is soo convenient for us cruisers!! Maybe you can book an appointment before boarding your cruise and then you will get your results in your email within like half an hour or so after you get tested for the antigen. From what I see on their website they also offer PCR test. Here is the link in case you want to check them out https://covid-medical.ca/covid-19-test-book-online/

Easy Covid Testing at YVR Vancouver airport
pattycruisealot21 replied to BeachBum47's topic in West Coast Departures
Thanks for opening this thread, so many cruisers have been left on their own by cruise lines now no longer providing Covid-19 testing. My husband and I have also used CVM Medical in the past and we've always had a great experience. They send results via email within half hour or so and their customer service line is great as well if you run into any issues! Yeah for cruisers I would also recommend their brand new location in the Vancouver Convention Centre which is right next to the cruise terminal. Here is the link of their locations to book in case it may be useful for anyone https://covid-medical.ca/covid-19-test-book-online/ -

There is a clinic that is actually right next to the cruise ship terminal in Vancouver which is soo convenient!! They will send your results via email within like half an hour or so after you get tested. This was once you get off your cruise, you can walk over to the Convention Centre get tested and then go enjoy the rest of your day in Vancouver without having to worry about your Covid-19 test. Here is the link https://covid-medical.ca/covid-19-test-book-online/ It's located in the Vancouver Convention Centre, I booked my test online but I heard that they also accept walk-ins. Prices are also pretty decent! Hope it helps!! π -
Anytime it is my pleasure π @MrToblerone, @SLSD & @SusieQft I completely understand how stressful it is to travel and cruise right now with all of these confusing testing requirements, I too was very nervous, lost and stressed. I had to spend many hours to find something reliable so I am happy to share and save my fellow cruisers the time and headache! Finally I'll be cruising again this year so maybe we'll bump into each other at some cruise! Happy cruising everyone!!

My husband and I have gotten tested with CVM Medical at the airport last month and we had a great experience, we got results within 30 to 35 minutes. And now I found out from their website that they have a new very convenient location right next to the cruise terminal in the Vancouver Convention Centre and the prices are pretty good as well. Here is the link in case you guys want to check it out: https://covid-medical.ca/test-select-location/ We already booked our tests online at the Convention Centre for our tests after our upcoming Alaska cruise but it says that they also accept walk-ins in case that is a preference for some.

I have been seeing this a lot with some cruise lines lately, they will just leave us on our own for testing and it can be very confusing and frustrating. I spent a lot of time researching and there is a clinic that is actually right next to the cruise ship terminal in Vancouver which is very convenient when coming form a cruise! Here is the link in case you want to check it out: https://covid-medical.ca/covid-19-test-book-online/ It's located in the Vancouver Convention Centre, I booked my test online but I heard that they also accept walk-ins. The same company also has a location inside the YVR airport. My husband and I got tested with them at the YVR clinic last month and we got our results within 30 minutes. Prices are also pretty decent! Hope it helps!! π

I have been seeing this a lot lately with cruise lines, I was just mentioning in another forum that cruise lines should really be helping us more as cruisers providing us with more information or links for testing. I was so stressed and having a hard time trying to find a testing clinic nearby which makes the experience very stressful overall. But I was so happy when I found a clinic that is actually right next to the cruise ship terminal in Vancouver which is soo convenient!! It's located in the Vancouver Convention Centre, I booked my test online but I heard that they also accept walk-ins. Flying home to US from Vancouver-covid test needed?
pattycruisealot21 replied to 1965's topic in Princess Cruises
Yeah from what I have learned through my research is that the US is still requiring a COVID-19 viral test no more than 1 day before you travel by air into the United States. Here is the link to the CDC website that I've found tons of helpful information https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/testing-international-air-travelers.html. I was having a hard time trying to find a testing clinic nearby but I was so happy when I found a clinic that is actually right next to the cruise ship terminal in Vancouver which is soo convenient!!
