  1. Oh my, what a quirky set of days - I don't have, never have had and don't anticipate having a dragon; not a fan of overly spicy food. Book publishing is something I can certainly celebrate! Not aligned w/the quote, pass on the meal, would try the drink and wine, not been to the port. The history days were impactful. Skipping PT again today, but continue at home exercises. Currently 16°, feels like 1°, headed to 30° which sounds like a heat wave! I think the heat pump will be close to working at that temp. Prayers and positive thoughts for all.
  2. My work sites require 2FA but I found the OKTA app on my phone produced a code that was visible in the push notification so I was able to still use only 1 device w/o disconnecting & switching between devices. I was not able to do that for codes that were emailed (multi device was better in that scenario).
  3. Remember you will also get a 50% discount on "good" coffee and PG dining. And even though only a few days, the free laundry is nice to reduce laundry time once you're back home 😊 Safe travels- enjoy your cruise!
  4. App only - no online website - so whatever device you can download an App onto.
  5. Even though the Luggage Direct guidelines state no flights before 11:30, I have used it (as recently as Dec 2023) just as a few have mentioned here; that allows you to avoid the long luggage lines. If you have either Global Entry or TSA Precheck you will also be able to go through the shorter security lines. Luggage Direct also checks you in for your flight so that is 1 less thing have to do. You will know if you are or are not approved for Luggage Direct by the packet you receive onboard so you can plan accordingly. Remember, how quickly you arexable to get off the ship depends on it's actual arrival time and how quickly it's cleared for passengers to depart.
  6. Different ships, but I completed a Transatlantic last month on Nieuw Statendam (Nov 26 - Dec 10) and found internet reliably stable and fast. I had only a few short-lived occurances of it being glitchy or not working. Same for K'dam Pacific roundtrip San Diego / Hawaii (Dec 21 - Jan 6). I did upgrade to Premium on both so I could work which requires calls, Teams and Skype.
  7. BB King's has dancing most sea days 5pm which could work for pre-dinner. This is from last month on Nieuw Statendam.
  8. Good to hear you were able to get the OBC going through HAL. Inconvenient and time consuming when you had to go through them anyway. Safe travels- enjoy your cruise!
  9. What an ordeal; happy to hear you made it. That picture is beautiful.
  10. GEAH was best breakfast we had in Sept on Venezia not including Terrazza brunch. It was definitely worth $10, but I don't think I'd pay $15. That's a big increase.
  11. Agree. And I've found when I call my TA, he sees less cabins than I do, so that doesn't seem to be the way, either.
  12. We always bring canned cokes for my sister since she doesn't drink pepsi. Just remember it goes w/carry-on, not checked bags, and is cans not bottles.
  13. We did have soft serve - there was both ice cream and yogurt. Did not look for gelato or sorbet - we get sorbet in the MDR. TV was so-so; we didn't really watch it. Honestly, we have better selection when we cruise HAL and try not to compare, but that's hard
  14. Glad you got it sorted out. Safe travels- enjoy your cruise!
  15. Sounds like a good time to be on a cruise.🤔 Good decision @pebbles1102 Happy Cruising - we'll all be here frozen to our seats.🫣
  16. Your weather looks fabulous to me. Happy you made it on easily and already enjoying some drinks - Let the fun begin!!
  17. Woo Hoo! Good job picking the right "cousins." Good job Tribe supporting and yay Jamman for getting Lee as BFF.😉 It takes a village and all that, but we all know you're a winner on your own. Now kick some 11:30 a** tomorrow night!!
  18. It's cold - there's a dog under here somewhere. Not snowing now, but too cold for what we did get to melt. Finally found a positive to neighbor leaving their backyard lights on - when power goes out, we can quickly determine if it's us or the neighborhood. Stay warm & safe.
  19. I've been swamped since returning so I haven't been able to wrap everything up yet. If you have any questions, I'm happy to answer them if I'm able. Yes, our teams do have history 😉
  20. Nice collection of days, chili sounds good in this weather, would try the drink and wine, haven't been to the port. Important days in history. Will not go to PT today; too cold. Currently 10° w/light snow headed to 28°, feels like -2°. At least the forecasted lows are double digits. Since the heater only wants to blow cold air, we've turned it off and are using space heaters. That's one reason I will not go to PT - it's too cold to turn the heaters off for any length of time and I sure don't want them on when nobody's home. Prayers and positive thoughts for all.
  21. Glad you had a great first day - I know this is going to be a fabulous fun week for you! Looking forward to reading about your exploits. Enjoy!
  22. Local station just broke into the last few seconds of the LA / Detroit game (1 point game) to tell us there are light snow flurries. I looked at my weather app thinking it must be bad for them to interrupt the final seconds of a very tight play off game. This is what I see DH opened the door - says very light drizzle, but far from the world ending. So we know Detroit won, but we didn't see it. Gotta say, wish I'd not seen the Cowboys fiasco.😳 So, the wetness has started, but if it continues at this rate, roads should be ok in the morning. But it's very cold - feels like 0° - the heat pump is not happy. Stay safe, everyone.
