  5. I have been on many cruises and different lines there were positives and negatives on all of them. I was on Riviera and loved it but didn’t care for the Regatta experience. Have a Vista planned. I have found different lines were good for different times in my life. I guess I am just not an over the top enthusiast/loyalist for any particular line (not that there is anything wrong with those who are)!

  8. I don’t think you personally are waitlisted I think the classes are… similar to what they do with cabins/available rooms you can get on a list in case one becomes available.

  13. @rxlowry If he purchased travel insurance privately ( not through the cruise line) the insurance agency would not talk to his travel agent.
  14. The ticket contract has a section regarding general health conditions. I will never understand people not reading their ticket contract. You are required to advise them in writing if you need a wheelchair or other equipment. It addresses that embarking and disembarking at various places may be difficult. It also states that your travel agent is YOUR agent and O is not responsible for their conduct…including giving you the ticket/contract and money issues.
  15. O has Bon Voyage gifts that you may order from…flowers, chocolate covered strawberries, couples spa etc.
  16. @Sthrngary Can’t wait to share your post with DW as she does all the planning (with a few what do you thinks so I feel included). I am extremely grateful for her planning as I become overwhelmed and then can’t make any decision especially when there are so many good places, excursions, restaurants etc. to choose from. To her the planning is part of the enjoyment and anticipation of the trip and I feel fortunate to have a partner (like you) who is good at it! Enjoy your trip!

  18. The Bears of Anan are a must for Wrangell. Look it up on TripAdvisor. O does an excursion as well.
  19. The ticket/contract is very specific about the cruise line being able to change ports, itinerary even ships! Yes it’s very disappointing but safety is always the priority. Hope you have a good trip anyway.
  20. The Horizon lounge is noisy the culinary center is not.
  21. We have found TripAdvisor very helpful for planning excursions. Enjoy your trip!

This app question is just one more thing for people to say “lower your expectations and then you won’t be disappointed.” This goes for missed ports, early departures, the food, the by the glass wine, the excursions, the lack of activities, captain communication, etc, etc. etc. IMO This is 2023 and honestly it’s ridiculous there is no app whether you personally like them or not.
