  1. Yes, it’s 2024. I assume the original poster was just confused. But the ask is still valid. The 2024 sailings go on sale in a little more than a week with Elites getting a first look 24 hours before. Does someone have that list?
  2. I’m on the team that doesn’t go ashore. I just stay on the ship and enjoy it with everyone gone. Definitely not boring. The warm weather. The beautiful ship. Not working. All good things to just sit and relax.
  3. They used to do Mobile Passport but you needed to look for it. Most terminal workers didn’t know about it. We used it quite often. But we haven’t used it in years. Customs has gotten so smooth that everyone is through pretty quickly. (And it worked for airports and some cruise ports including FLL.)
  4. “…all night long” ?!? On a Celebrity ship? Have they seen their passenger demographic?!? 🤪😝😂
  5. I think it's more a consideration for people who don't cruise a lot. A huge FCC is no big deal for me as I'll use it. But when I am traveling with someone that may or may not cruise with Celebrity again it may be a different story.
  6. Us to! We just were finalizing which cruise we wanted to book.
  7. I would do it! But that’s a personal choice and what people could afford. I would love to try a penthouse. But be careful. You would get spoiled. I tried a Sky suite “once” and can’t go back! 🤪
  8. I don't understand the point of a "silent" disco. Enjoying the music with everyone around you in the reason I go dancing. But I am definitely in the very small minority here. A lot of folks have a lot of fun with this so I just go elsewhere during this event. That's what I love about cruising! There's something for everyone.
  9. We were told when I made final payment about a week ago that we DO need travel insurance for our 12/31/22 sailing. It’s in case we test positive before getting on the ship. I’ll wait until it gets closer to see what the policy is at the time. We usually have travel insurance anyway.
  10. You REALLY should not put your email, full name and phone number in a public forum. If you can’t delete it, you should ask the host to do it.
  11. Shhhh! Don’t tell anyone about those or everyone will want them. 😂
  12. There is no comparison between suites on Celebrity and what they do on Princess. Even the most highly rated suite cabin (except for Sky Suites) on Princess isn’t very nice compared to Celebrity. Their “concierge” on Princess isn’t anything like the retreat hosts on X. No butler. No special lounge area or sun deck. You are treated like royalty as a suite guest on Celebrity. Don’t expect that same service on Princess suites. Most of what skynight lists above is available for all guests. I think you are asking specifically about the suite experience. I still book suites on both lines but I know what to expect going in.
  13. I don’t mind if people decorate their door but on our last cruise, someone decorated it for Halloween. The cruise dates were 9/11 - 9/21!! A little early in my book. Maybe they we doing 1 1/2 months of B2Bs!! 😜
  14. And with that, I’m done. Good times and fun have left the Princess board.
  15. Wow! I really thought this was going to be a fun discussion of things they could do for us? I expected things ranging from funny to creative but didn't expect all this negativity. I guess that is where the Princess consumer is right now (and I totally understand everyone's negativity!). I just thought thought thread was going to be a fun way to discuss what they could do for us. Here's mine: Not just priority tender but our own tendering system to and from port. (Now go ahead and slam all the reasons why that wouldn't be doable if you want.)
  16. And that's what I love about cruising. There are different things for different people. I look at those Deck 9 cabins and would never want to be there with such a large overhang. I'm glad you enjoy them. I am not a huge fan of the Persian Garden either so Blu is my main reason for choosing this category. On non-revolutionized ships, I would rather be in Agua class than Retreat.
  17. On S Class ships the Lawn Club Grill is completely empty when it's open for lunch. No reservation ahead of time needed. We do make them once we get on the ship but the last 3 times we ate there for lunch we were the only ones in the entire place. No worries if you can't make a reservation before you board.
  18. I was told that it’s based on the number of people quarantined. If only one went into quarantine and the other kept going about the ship, I don’t think that person gets a refund. But if both cabin mates quarantine, even if only one is positive, the refund is for both people.
  19. Thank you all for the support. I thought I would get slammed for knocking Celebrity and the Retreat Hosts. I don’t blame anyone. Just a bad situation. I had a lot of really awesome things planned for our 25th including a private sailing tour in Portland that all had to be cancelled and I was feeling really down about it. I thought a bottle of champagne or a special dessert would be enough to run it around and when that didn’t come I started to spiral. Will still cruise and still be a part of all of our great cruising experience!
  20. Sorry but Mar was useless. Still waiting for the deck loungers we asked for 4 days ago that she said were being delivered. And despite her “whispering” to me that they would do something special, they did nothing! Nothing was done about our 25th anniversary other than the generic balloons and a sign on our door. Don’t forget we couldn’t go outside our room so those were useless! I brought the balloons in the cabin so I could enjoy them and not my fellow cruisers. No bottle of champagne, not even a dessert with “Happy Anniversary” on it. Not sure what she meant by “special” because she did nothing. Every time we asked her for something she passed it on to our butler and he followed up asking what we wanted. Stopped using them. Yes, I sound bitter. It’s been a very sad and disappointing 25th wedding anniversary. At this point I just want to be home. Thank goodness we live in Boston and can walk in our front door 20 minutes after we get off the ship.
  21. That’s what we were told last night because I specifically asked. The refund is for those quarantined and not those that tested positive. We will see. I think the hardest (as the one not sick 😜) part is hearing all the announcements about things going on around the ship. The ship is why we cruise. We were having such a great cruise and to have it all stop is tough. The mental anguish has been harder for me (again the one NOT sick!). But as I said 25 years ago today, “in sickness and in health”, 😎
  22. Dress like going to Alaska; layers. In most of the ports this trip it’s been cold, not so cold, a little warm and hot all the same port on the same day. Same for the sea days. Bring more cool/cold weather clothes but definitely bring shorts as well.
  23. Thanks. Unfortunately hubby got Covid on Friday and we’ve been stuck in our cabin ever since. But up until then the music was great! That’s one thing that makes it so hard to be stuck in our room, the music was so good this trip! Enjoy!!
  24. I would have to say that the live music options are just wonderful. Kyle, the solo guitarist is beyond great! The two band are also wonderful. The “classical” string due is good too! They rock it out with up beat versions of classical music. They all end pretty early in the night but as we get older, that’s a good thing! There is nothing better than sitting out at the Sunset bar listening to Kyle play his set. We love it!! (Didn’t mention that we are on the Summit right now.)
  25. You could swim to Portland in that amount of time!! 🤪
