  1. Usually it's on MUTS and your stateroom TV. We've watched many games on MUTS over the years. It depends of course on availability and signals.
  2. Do you mean they won't provide bottled water with the Plus package, or they are out of bottled water? I must have missed that on your other thread. We were able to have unlimited bottled water last month on the Island with the Plus package, although they did run out of other beverages during the voyage.
  3. Was the first formal night Monday or Tuesday? We'll be on the Regal soon 🙂 Thanks!
  4. Luckily we already have our plans ironed out, was just looking for some possible 'filler' excursions for a short unoccupied afternoon etc. I was mainly posting the info just to alert others not to wait if interested in Alaska next year. I also wonder if our cruisetour is booked up by a group or tour operator because it has shown as 'not available' on the Princess website for quite while. I like to periodically price check our cruises but haven't been able to for this one in a long time.
  5. All ours opened last night for the entire land tour (a few days ago only Kenai opened up). Everything I looked at showed sold out already.
  6. We recently flew to Europe as well using EZ Air and flew United Polaris First Class both ways. I was able to see our flights on the United app immediately at booking (330 days out) and was able to manage flights on the app up until travel time. This included pre-ordering meals, bag information, checking in, etc.
  7. Yes, you can still call the general customer service line. I've done that in the past when my CVP was not available.
  8. When I log into the Personalizer and and access my EZ Air reservations, then select Change Flights, I get the option to Change Departure Flight, Change Return Flight, or Change Both.
  9. This morning 6 Kenai tours were posted as available for our May 2024 cruise tour. Yesterday I looked and there were none. I thought it was odd that they would populate on a Sunday. I opened each one and all times showed as sold out for all 6 tours, with the exception of one river float trip time (there were 3 time options and only one showed availability). Not sure how everything was sold out that quickly, or it's a glitch on the Princess system.
  10. The app worked just fine on our Samsung Android phones last month on the Island. Also worked fine when we were on the Regal.
  11. We did the same European Capitals cruise 9/22 - 10/4. Sorry you had some weather issues -- we were lucky to have smooth sailing and didn't miss any ports. We had a fabulous time and also did several days in London on our own prior to boarding the ship. Agree 100% with your comment about Sabatini's -- we also ate there during our cruise and although it was good, it was not as good as the wonderful Italian meal we had in London! Glad you had a good time on your trip 🙂 Thanks for sharing.
  12. Yes you can book before final payment. In fact, on our last cruise many were sold out months before the cruise. For Alaska as others had said, if there's something you know you want to do, it's best to book ASAP. Excursions are fully refundable if you change your mind or have to cancel. The only caveat is some flight-seeing excursions in Alaska have different cancellation policies, but those are disclosed at booking. As far as Alaska for 2024, everything I've read says bookings are extremely strong and our May 2024 cruisetour has been sold out for quite awhile. So keep that in mind as you plan. Good luck 🙂
  13. We have a cruisetour booked for May 2024 and are experiencing the same as you -- cruise excursions are up to book, but the land tours are not. I asked my CVP when we could expect them to be available and they said 'hopefully soon' but they also said that 'Princess no longer has a dedicated shore excursion department' so they had no one to contact specifically to ask. I check every day online and plan to book as soon as they are available. Good luck 🙂
  14. Our smoking neighbors definitely sat way back by their door, out of sight. We were on the aft too, so I'm not sure if they thought nobody would see them or care back there? On our next sail away I made a point to say hello to our other neighbors beside & above us (we were acquainted from land excursion). I don't think the smokers realized how many people are actually out on the aft and how sound carries. I wished later I had recorded the screaming audio from their drunken domestic disturbance the prior night. I will know if it ever happens again. I was just taken aback as that had never happened to us in 20+ years of cruising (both the smoking & domestic disturbance).
  15. There will be plenty of activities every night as others have mentioned. One caveat I have is don't put too much stock in the app activities prior to sailing. We were on the Island earlier this month and many of the activities listed on the app prior to sailing were changed once we got on board, such as the musical acts, comedians, and main evening entertainment.
  16. I'm sorry this happened to you. We had a similar experience in January on a NCL ship with next door neighbors. We alerted guest services who sent security repeatedly until they caught them in the act. They were brazen enough to leave their lighter and makeshift ashtray on the balcony table. It still took a couple days to catch them in the act. In retrospect I regretted not just sticking my phone camera up to catch them myself. It really annoyed me how some people can flaunt the rules and ruin others' vacations. These same people also had a loud drunken domestic incident which was heard by everyone on decks around us. Ridiculous.
  17. We were on the Island for a couple weeks earlier this month. We used the door hanger card most days as the itinerary was port-intensive. Every time, without fail, our order came 10 minutes prior to the time slot selected. So if we selected the 7 - 7:30 time frame for example, the food would come at 6:50. We just selected accordingly knowing that the order would come 10 minutes before the earliest time selected. Every order came exactly as requested with no problems at all. Very convenient. I never looked at the app for breakfast as I assumed it would mirror the door hanger card. We did use the app for food deliveries when we got back from port late in the evenings though, and it was also very convenient.
  18. Must be nice. Mine has become surly and acts like any question or request is a bother. The last few times we've conversed they have acted put out at Princess for all the changes and cutbacks. I agree, but it's still your job to be professional. I've seriously considered asking for a new one, but was afraid I'd get someone worse. Congrats on your reduction though 🙂
  19. Agree 100%. Meal times and shows are the least of my concerns when it comes to Alaska as we are there for the scenery. To answer question #1 -- we are on the same Southbound itinerary on the Sapphire in 2024 and our Travel Summary says boarding begins at 12:30 for our cruise. My suggestion would be to see what your Travel Summary says for a boarding time for your cruise. To answer question #2 -- We have the Hubbard Glacier & Wilderness Exploration excursion booked and the timing is 4:30 - 6:30.
  20. Reading this thread makes me happy my existing bridge is still in good shape after 25+ years. My dentist says sure there is more modern technology available (implants) but he doesn't want to take out a good dental repair that is still holding up well. And no he didn't do it, it was another dentist. I've always thought getting an implant would be the way to go, but after reading all this I'm kind of happy with my bridge so thanks for that 🙂
  21. Can't really answer your question, other than to say we disembarked from the Island 2 weeks ago and we had the best, most comfortable mattress of any Princess ship ever. It was not hard as a rock like on prior cruises and we slept just as good, if not better, than at home. So it must vary by ship 🙂
  22. What difference does it make? I would expect that kind of data to be in quarterly or annual corporate reports.
  23. We're from Kansas and have driven to Galveston for cruises many times over the past 20 years. It's one of our favorite ports just for that reason -- no flights 🙂 By the time we would drive to KC airport, arrive 2 hours early, fly and connect, then travel from airport to Galveston, the drive time difference is negligible. It's not a bad drive on good highways, and driving means no luggage size restrictions (more room for snorkel gear, etc). We are also sailing out of Galveston in January 2024 and will be driving down 2 days prior.
