  1. Have not heard that # 3,4,5.7 will be going away? Will you quote your source? Removing wash and fold benefit? Removing the selected amenity? One to three and varying items depending on number of C&A points. Permanent changes to Crown Lounge are pure speculation. Removing Internet, one day ( 2 for D+, full cruise for P)? I agree we will see changes one day, sooner than later, but it only cases rumors if one speculates. M
  2. Ships are what they are. There is talk of a smaller ship at some point. As for Celebrity, your category will transfer over, but the benefits are not the same (read up before you make a switch). And, at this time, Celebrity and RCLL have separate loyalty programs. Neither line has anything to gain by combining to a singular program. If that every happens, category/points will certainly be devalued as there will be mobs of folks in every category. Your status with Royal (but good for you for noting that you are almost D+) will make no difference in their decision to create a smaller ship for you or have Celebrity/RCCL revise the loyalty program parameters. m
  3. All the beaches are complimentary ( except the Coco Beach Club) - and all beach chair sets ( sets of 2 or 4) include a complimentary umbrella in case you want to be in an area with no trees. Bonus - if you have the internet package it works there. And, if you have a drink package or have daily loyalty drinks available, you can get them on Coco Cay as well. Considering what we pay at other ports to get to the beach, rent chairs/umbrellas, have lunch, a day at Coco Cay or Labadee is terrific for us. M
  4. There is no dedicated Pinnacle area on Labadee. Labadee has a suite beach, Barefoot Beach. Currently, Pinnacles members may use this areas as well. There is a bar, but drinks are not free. You can use a daily drink voucher or your sea pass card. The bar servers there are attentive. The Barefoot Beach buffet used to be a substantial upgrade from the general buffet. But the Barefoot buffet has declined, and the general buffet has gotten better so they are pretty much the same. Ample complimentary chairs with umbrellas. Of course, chairs and umbrellas are complementary on Labadee for everyone. Much quieter beach than the larger beaches. There is a dedicated tram to take you to Barefoot beach. You can contact the Suite or Diamond concierge for more info. M
  5. I guess you are referring to the Crown lounge as half the places. Diamonds only have a potential restriction during happy hour. At this point, the lounge is open for D use the other 21 hours of the day. You do realize that except for the highest cruisers, pinnacles are often excluded from the suite/concierge lounge completely (Not just during happy hour) and assigned to yes the crown lounge. As crown & anchor numbers increase, changes have to be made to the program. However, look at your current diamond benefits. I hope you will agree that they are significantly better than gold members.
  6. One devise for one day per D member in the cabin. You can however log off one device and use another. Ex - log off phone and use laptop. You can each use the benefit on different day, log on and off, and each have internet use in two days. M
  7. We must have been on the same cruise for Christmas. LOTS of kids/families for sure. OP - is that is an issue - look for another date. M
  8. MDR still offers lunch, just occasionally they offer a Brunch instead. We've had a few experiences with ship brunches even well before Covid. I recall a beautiful brunch on (I think) Empress. Brunch was offered in a few recent cruises. It is not my favorite timeframe, but we adjust as necessary. I agree that 12 is a bit early to close. M
  9. Went through in the TA 2024 as well. Possibly one of the most memorable cruise days ever! It was a nice sunny day, so it felt a bit warmer than it was. Photographer snapped photos with large icebergs in the background. We bought the photo but some folks we show it to think the background is fake! So blessed to have such wonderful memories. I can't imagine taking in so many interesting and beautiful sights as those on the WC will do. M M
  10. OP - as suggested by others, wear the tux. You'll look and feel terrific. Mum2Mercury - As for the "church dress"........What church is that?😀 I see tight, low cut, short dresses on many women. Looks great on some, others not so much. Always a wide variation of passenger dress on Formal/Dress Your Best nights (What ever it is called). M
  11. Years ago, Windjammer always had some late night snacks. I stayed up much later then (and ate more) and often had an 11pm snack. Can't recall the options or how late it stayed open. But - there were no other options around the ship for food. Basically, just the MDR and Windjammer. No Promenade Cafe, No Sorento's, no specialty restaurants etc. Then there was a time that WJ had afternoon snacks (They sometimes called it Tea - but it was far from a formal tea) from around 3-5. It was a good option when returning from port. M
  12. Thanks for the info. We’ve been on wonder several times but I don’t think I’ve ever realized there was a bar at El Loco . I may be confusing it with symphony. Heading back shortly, I will be sure to check it out. thx
  13. I don’t believe it was ever listed in the onboard Casino flyer. It was an email/newsletter that was sent out in the early spring 2023. The Atlantis promotion lasted from then until the end of 2023. It was easy to use, and we took advantage of it several times. Our last visit to Atlantis and using the promotion was mid December 2023. It as great deal while it lasted. Sorry you weren’t aware of it. m
  14. The only place I’ve seen sorbet is in the Coastal Kitchen (suite restaurant) . The dining room serves sherbet. I don’t know if the dining room serves any dairy, free, frozen desserts good luck.
  15. Insane prices. Obviously, someone pays them. I'm on Wonder Jan 28 and (while not the topic) bought the unlimited dining package for less than a few hours at the beach club. M
  16. As noted - depends on numbers. We have done B2B when D's had full access to the crown lounge one cruise and were restricted (just) during Happy Hour on the other. No real way to know. Often the Crown Lounge has to serve D, D+ and Pinnacle. Space is limited for the hundreds that may be in those categories. M
  17. Do you mean they paid you less than $20 to go there? 😀 Couldn't resist. Hideaway Beach is not on my "to do " list at all. Maybe if I wear noise cancelling headphones it would be tolerable. The loud party/ DJ is a hard NO. I'm not the demographic of the venue, or who RCCL is going after. I love my spot on Chill Beach, I'm happy there. A few giggles from kids in the water, or playing in the sand is fine. M
  18. Anyone in a suite is always welcome as well. 😀
  19. By status are you meaning suites? Lately I've been advised that Pinnacle (or other C&A levels) have no tender priority status. This past September we had a tender port in Greenland and no P priority tendering. Do Key have priority tendering? M
  20. I'm told the "significant other" aspect was created to allow same sex couples who (back then) could not get married have the same opportunity for status match as married couples. Of course it has been abused to allow status match for any casual boyfriend/girlfriend one brings on a cruise. The other issue is that a kid goes on one cruise with parents, parents reach diamond before kid is 18 and kid is Diamond for life. Then of course, spouse/significant other/ kids and so on. M
  21. I've been sailing RCCL for 35 years so it must be prior to then. I can say that a fruit basket was NOT provided in every cabin. I've received an occasional fruit basket because of accommodations, C&A status etc. M
  22. I know the pineapple rumor has been around for a long time, but my point was the NY Post,s "shocking" headline. Person NOT on the cruise sees an innocent video, makes something up about it and tells it to someone NOT on the cruise, who then writes a news story about a cruise that many will believe to be factual. sad indeed. M
  23. Stroll around the new port area. Pretty nice to kill an hour or so. M
  24. It was mentioned in at least one of the Casino Royale email newsletters. This one was dated March 15, 2023. It was new this (past) year Had to really scroll down to see it . Sorry you missed the opportunity. It is my understanding that is ended 12/31/23. We used it several times. Each casino Royale Member received the benefit. It was worth the taxi fare over there. Now you can enjoy the perks of loyalty both onboard and on shore. Club Royale members can enjoy FREE Slot Play at Atlantis Paradise Island Resort when your ship is in Nassau, Bahamas. You’ll receive between $25 to $100 based on your tier level — just visit the Atlantis casino guest services desk with your SeaPass® card to redeem your offer!
