  1. NO, been that way for as long as I can recall. I've been sailing RCCL for 35 years. M
  2. Some sort of "lucky for you" error. Certainly not the norm. M
  3. This is how rumors start...........Seems someone watched a passenger give a room tour and saw a (Pinnacle) Pineapple on the door, and imaginations went wild. New York Post article headline below. I don't want to post the link, unless I have to. It caused my computer to crash. but you can google "World cruise and swingers." . Headline from New York Post story - Cruising for sex? Secret kinky signs spark rumors swingers are making the Ultimate World Cruise a pleasure playground By Social Links forAndrew Court Published Jan. 2, 2024 Updated Jan. 2, 2024, 3:15 p.m. ET
  4. Surprised, as you are an editor, that you would not seek full world cruisers for your article. I hope that you can interview folks who are actually onboard, and not some of the bloggers who have not set foot on the ship. Some of what I read (from those NOT on board) is hilarious. M
  5. No. Cabin mates do NOT share C&A status. If you are your granddaughters legal guardian, she is under 18 and lives with you then yes for your granddaughter. You daughter would have to be under 18 to have your status. M
  6. Thanks @bucfan2 - appreciate the update. I'm not expecting it to be renewed, but it would be a nice surprise if it is. M
  7. Interesting, we've never seen a variety of lines. Just one line for those with reservations and one for those in the standby line. There is a reserved seating area for various groups ( Suite/Pinnace/Key) but I don't recall lines for different groups. either before or after Covid. YIKES all those different waiting lines must have been a madhouse. Glad I didn't have to experience it. M
  8. On RCCL, your cabin steward is not the person to ask to provide food. That would be a room service function. As others have suggested, pick up a few pieces of fruit from a food venue to keep in the cabin. We generally pick up while fruit only as that does not need refrigeration. M
  9. Thanks - In that case it is my understanding, no. M
  10. We've taken this type of cabin a few times. Generally, no noise from ship stores or restaurants. Occasionally, a large crowd will meet at Trellis Bar and become loud (Doesn't happen often). If the balcony doors are closed, it is fine. If they are open, or you are on the balcony in the late afternoon, we hear loud music/noise from the pool deck band or pool games. There is nice music in central park at night, but we are rarely in the cabin when it is scheduled. M
  11. Key has special seating area for shows but NOT a special entry line - and that for those with reservations. All without reservations ( Key or otherwise) wait in the standby line. Regarding shows, Key will not help for earlier/no line waiting. The scooter suggestion comes from experienced cruisers. You may want to consider that option. Best wishes. M
  12. Yes there should be spots. As soon as you board, there should be staff with "ask me" t-shirts. They will assist. Your travel professional should have advised you to watch website to sign up as soon as entertainment opened. I am sailing the same day on Wonder and the entertainment opened in mid-December. I booked entertainment on Dec 14. If you don't get reservations, every show will have a standby line. Enjoy your cruise. Harmony is a great ship. M
  13. Since it is only Jan 2, I'd give it a few days and ask again. I understand that Atlantis saw very little extra revenue from those with free play. M
  14. 1 - starboard 2 - Pinnacle status/suites allows for earlier boarding. 3 - 11:30 per the app. Have a good crusie M
  15. There are many days that we prefer MDR dinner menu to CK. No problem to use the MDR on those nights. M
  16. A few confirmed with Atlantis that it was to end on 12/31/23. A bit off track, but did choice get free play as well? I thought it was Prime, Signature and Masters only. M.
  17. Check the menus on the app. Menus for the weeks we are sailing in January are posted m
  18. Protocol is to close those upper decks in the evening, darken the inside areas, require that cabin curtains be closed etc. I can’t imagine that this cruise protocol would be any different from other cruises that go through that region. Further, there will probably be a “Safe Haven“ drill, where passengers are required to gather in an inside windowless area (theater, hallway, an inside cabin) should there be an emergency announcement from the captain. The idea is to be away from a window. When we have gone through that area, extra security was brought on board. m
  19. FYI- Adventure December 22–30 cruise will be arriving back in Port Canaveral a couple of hours delayed Saturday. We had a medical evacuation (unscheduled stop) Thursday evening that caused our delay. I suspect there will be a delay in Saturday embarkation. Those on the Dec 30 sailing should watch email/text for info. m
  20. If there are high numbers of pinnacles on board, and one does not fall into the top, 30 (regardless if they take suite pinnacles in the count) then access is restricted. I’ve recently had access, but many others have not. Doesn’t really matter to me, lounge access is one of the least important benefits to me. I know it is important to others. m
  21. Don't feel too bad. Pinnacles are often kicked out of the concierge lounge as well so not an option for Pinnacles not staying in a full suite either. M
