  1. Effective 9pm it goes to ZULU. Oasis hasn't left yet. It leaves at 9pm.
  2. The port was aware of the storm and I am sure Oasis is part of the limited operations the port is allowing.
  3. We prefer the corner aft on deck 10 on Voyager and Freedom class too. Prefer the larger cabin to the larger balcony. The deck 10 balcony is plenty large enough for us. We have done corner afts on Radiance class too. Deck 7 was a little noisy from the music from the lounge below but we have also had 1100 which is wonderful. We have a deck 9 center aft coming up this fall, we will see if we like that. We booked at final payment, so were lucky to even get an aft cabin at all.
  4. Was the ice cream free when you were on Ovation or was there a charge? The specialty coffees are definitely not free but there is other coffee that is at no cost. We have sailed Quantum and Anthem, which are sister ships to Ovation, but have never seen that ice cream case on those ships. I might have missed it on Quantum as we stayed away from WJ but we have sailed Anthem a lot and are regulars at that coffee bar.
  5. It is always hard to decide when to stay and when to go. If you do end up going, make sure you do the quarter on a frozen cup of water trick so you will know if you lost power or not.
  6. We have seen ice cream in the WJ many times. On Radiance class ships, we have seen a roaming sundae cart in the WJ at dinner. We have seen make your own sundaes on Mariner in the past. On Anthem, we have seen ice cream being scooped at the dessert station on the left hand side of the WJ. We have seen it on other ships too but not going to go ship to ship. This was all pre covid, haven't done much WJ since covid.
  7. What ship is this picture from? Do you have a link to this picture?
  8. That cabin is under the Living Room which is a teen area. Shouldn't be too noisy. I have stayed in 13640 on the opposite side of the ship and had lots of noise late at night. That area is under the galley that serves Johnny Rockets and Coastal Kitchen. I would stay away from that area.
  9. The itineraries aren't great at all but it gets us on a ship without having to fly to Florida. Anthem sailings in the past have been really cheap too but not the case with Odyssey yet. Hopefully, they will be a little bit more reasonable in the future.
  10. I knew exactly what you meant. 🙂 Make sure you have some pictures taken since you both get a free 8x10. You each will have 24 hours of free internet that you can activate when you want. If you work it right, you can spread it over four days. Just do one at staring on an afternoon and you can use it the rest of the day and until that time the next day. Do the same with the other 24 hours if you both don't need to be logged in at the same time, it is very easy to share and save money. Another option is to use one for 24 hours and then apply the other to a Voom package for the remaining time of the cruise. Enjoy your benefits!
  11. Usually there are the laundry picture symbols on the tag. I would do cold water, gentle with Woolite and very low heat to dry. Whatever you do, do not use fabric softener as that wrecks fleece.
  12. It is clearly stated in the cruise ticket contract. It is under section 4e and f. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/guest-terms/us/united-states-english/
  13. GeoBlue also says its coverage area is outside of the US only.
  14. Don't worry, CK and SL have gone the way of the MDR and are very casual these days. We see shorts and t-shirts during the day but also at dinner. We have seen star class families in beach attire, escorted in by their genie, seated for breakfast and lunch. You will be just fine with bed head! 😄
  15. I like the white/clear ones whatever those are, I think pineapple. I like cream soda too. I used to always have them when my son was young and we were flying to see my parents in Florida. Helped keep his ears from blocking. We were on a flight once and the guy sitting in front of me was freaking out because there was a toddler in front of him who was screaming because their ears hurt. I tapped the guy on the shoulder with a dum dum and if looks could kill, I would be dead now. I pointed at the toddler and he passed the lollipop up to the Mom. A little while later, he turned around and said thank you. The Mom stopped and thanked me when she was up once the seat belt sign was off. I gave her another for landing. 🙂
  16. Make sure you look at the limit on the medical coverage in yearly plans. We have looked at them in the past and some of them do not have high enough medical coverage and evacuation coverage. Having cancel for any reason coverage in them makes the policy very expensive.
  17. Anyone with common sense would consult a calendar and figure out what makes sense.
  18. It's very simple. If you are paying off the balance with a credit card, it makes no difference if you pay in full two weeks before final payment or final payment day if the charge hits the card in the same billing period.
  19. Here is a link to the map of Perfect Day: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/content/dam/royal/resources/pdf/perfect-day-at-cococay-wayfinding-map.pdf We have been to most of the Beach and prefer South Beach. Chill Island is the easiest beach to get too and seems to be where most families go, so lots of kids. South Beach has lots of activities, the floating bar and a Snack Shack. You can get there by tram or you can walk there, basically straight through the island, just follow the signs and maps. We typically get off the ship and walk to the Oasis pool. We like to take a few laps, walking the entire pool and then float for a while until it gets busy. We then grab our stuff and walk the rest of the way to South Beach. If you want chairs in the first row, head to South Beach first. We just want a couple of chairs under a tree and umbrella and find that easily. We grab lunch and then blow up our pool noodles and go out in the water and just float. Depending on the tide, you can stand way past the floating bar on a sandbar. When we are done, we usually walk back to the pool, walk another lap or two around the pool and then head back to the ship.
  20. Some say they don't like to give the cruise line their money too early. We pay the full balance a few weeks in advance of the final due date.
  21. Yes, you edited after I commented. He is a good guy too. He has his own foundation. He has donated a lot of time and money to the HS he and my son both attended. There had been a long planned build of a new field house and sports complex, he donated the money for the basketball court that is now named for him. He runs clinics at the school every year too.
  22. There definitely are talented athletes that you know are something at very young age. My son went to a Parochial school that had a basketball program starting in sixth grade. When he was in eighth grade, playing on the varsity team, they played a team with a sixth grader who was taller than all for his age and dominated the entire game. He ended up at the same Prep School for HS as my son and was playing QB in football, basketball, and was an amazing pitcher. By next year, he was not playing football so he wouldn't get injured and was being scouted for both basketball and baseball. He went to Notre Dame, starting immediately after graduating, taking classes all summer so he would be ahead of the game. Got drafted in 2014 in the MLB draft and 2015 in the NBA draft. He played a little baseball but decided on basketball. He is currently with the Milwaukee Bucks. There was another talented baseball player on the same HS team. He grew up in baseball with a grandfather who is in the Hall of Fame. He is now playing for the SF Giants.
  23. Getting results before they are interpreted by someone can definitely lead to unnecessary concern. My DH gets bloodwork done frequently and he sees the results fairly quickly through push notifications from his portal. Many times it is before his physician can add a note to chart. We try to wait before we consult Doctor Google. 🙂 As far as other points of view, I totally respect how @Ocean Boy deals with all the medical discussion on this thread and does not try to "treat" all the ailments in this thread. No one knows the complete medical history of anyone posting and it is dangerous to make recommendations without all the facts.
