  1. No, you can just use lounge chairs instead of a cabana. JS does not have access to the suite beach. If you book a cabana, you get a specific number of people who can use the cabana and you could include your parents in that number.
  2. Yes, as it goes up to the helipad. There are also private events held on the helipad at times too which causes it to be closed to invitation only.
  3. It does go all the way around but sometimes the front is locked and doesn't give you access to make the full loop.
  4. I will have to check it out. I have sailed Anthem five times and always order San Pellegrino. Thanks.
  5. We are actually thinking the same thing. We have never sailed Celebrity before but are going to start doing some research. I need to call and get a loyalty number though so I can look at pricing online.
  6. I priced a sky junior suite and a "regular" sea class junior suite on the same sailing and the difference was even higher. Sky junior suite was just over $9K total for two, the sea class junior suite was around $5,500 total for two.
  7. I have only seen plain San Pellegrino on our sailings.
  8. What ship is that list from? That is definitely not the lineup from our recent Oasis sailing. Channel numbers are completely off too.
  9. Sounds like a good choice so you don't get stressed after a relaxing vacation. Let us know what they say on Oasis in December.
  10. You have asked that before and I still feel the answer is no, none of us can tell you what the new norm is for the cruise line or any departure port. The ports all seem to handle things a little differently. Just be prepared with receipts and duty due if you or a family member spend more than their allowance.
  11. Correct, no Hooked on Allure. Given the choices they have on Allure, I would go with 150 Central Park and/or Hibachi. We have never been a fan of Giovanni's, have tried on multiple ships and just isn't for us. We are among those that miss Portofino.
  12. We were just on Oasis, not many stations. There was a BBC channel, CNN, FoxNews, Prime TV, Prime Movie and a few other things like children's programming.
  13. I see from the other post you did Navigator then Radiance, easy to get stuff mixed up. 🙂
  14. I did that earlier when he first posted and could not get a aft facing deck 14 cabin for any of the sailings I was looking at either for 2, 3 or 4 people. TA's could have grabbed those or they haven't been released. I am done helping though, he needs a patient TA and I am neither a TA or patient at this point. 🙄
  15. I just kept scrolling to see all the Icon information and there was a big icon on the bottom that said deck plans. I put the above link because it has the deck he is looking for.
  16. Seriously Jim, why would I lie about deck plans for Icon being on the Royal Caribbean website? Of course they are there. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/cruise-ships/icon-of-the-seas/deck-plans/2250/14
  17. Read the deck plans, the deck 14 aft facing balconies say they are 50 sq ft. The C5 balconies that you say they are, have balconies that are 65 to 70 sq ft. Are you seeing different deck plans somewhere? I am not sure I would want one of those deck 14 cabins anyway with the flowrider two decks above on one side and public spaces above them I would expect them to be very noisy. You also can't say what they usually charge for these cabins as these are the first of these cabins.
  18. I always receive an invoice when I make a booking or a payment. I don't hang up the phone until I confirm that I have the email and the information is correct. Call and request one. There used to be an automated way to get one, not sure if that still exists anymore.
  19. We were also on Oasis October 9th and had no issues getting a paper copy of the compass. Not sure who you talked to as the hotel director was a man, not a woman. Maybe you spoke to head of housekeeping. We only received a few notices all week, nothing for art auction, just a few for the spa.
  20. Some of us actually go to medical for medical care, not compensation. When we got the flu, we were able to get tamiflu from the ship because we went within 48 hours of symptoms. Had we waited until we got off the ship, we would have missed that window. When I got Covid, I reported to medical because it was the right thing to do and I had a high fever. Yes, I did receive compensation to further quarantine before I could fly home, but that was the policy at the time. My most recent trip to medical that led to me isolating again was again because I needed medical treatment because I was having issues breathing. Because I had symptoms similar to Covid, I needed to have two consecutive days of negative Covid tests to be allowed to leave my cabin. I was not looking for compensation, I was looking for help, which I received.
  21. Royal Caribbean absolutely compensated us when we were quarantined on Anthem with the flu. They give you a prorated refund or FCC if you are quarantined on the ship for any reason. My Covid quarantine in May was a refund. My current letter for isolation on Oasis two weeks ago says it will be a FCC.
