    Our trivia partners never got their laundry back and it’s been over a week. They haven’t gotten any help from GS. Has this happened before to anyone? They are unsure what to ask for so suggestions appreciated. TIA

    Correcting an earlier post- on the 8/2 cruise, they passed out a different form for the FCD which only had the book later OBC- we’re glad they still have the increased onboard booking OBC as indicated above.

    Our tattoo tickets for this Friday are for the 6:30 show so we should be able to get back to the ship before 10 pm

    The future cruise director onboard said HAL is publishing the Fall 2025 schedule on 8/24/23.

    After 40+ cruises, this is the first time we’ve ever gone 2 straight days without any scheduled trivia games!

    The smaller one is included with the HIA package, the larger screw tops are not but can be purchased.

    The OBC for booking onboard has virtually disappeared. You used to get $375pp for 22 day cruise with vista suite or above- now only $75pp regardless of cabin chosen. I guess all the community OBC offers have caused the reduction.

    One nice improvement is that all internet issues are now resolved in BB Kings which frees up the lines at Guest Services on embarkation day!

    On the NS now and Happy Hour is only in the Ocean Bar!

    We just boarded the Nieuw Statendam and in our room was a flyer that you can buy the HIA package on board. It is $60 per person per day not including gratuities for staff. It says you need to go to guest services before 9 PM to put it on your account so maybe there is a change!

    Our issue was missing the chance to load up on good chocolate for the trip home!

    Remember that you could end up with 8-9 sea days in a row if weather prevents a stop in Madeira or the Azores. We've had that happen twice.

    I have been an AARP member for 10+ years and applied for the HAL benefit the day it was announced and got my verification immediately. Guess it's another hit or miss option.

    Congrats to Mary229-As a 5 star I contacted my PCC to try to get the AARP benefit added to our Fall TA and was told via email from consumer programs it is only available for new bookings. Congrats to those who have been able to get it for existing bookings.

    With the free 5 star dinners, do you leave cash tips or can you have a gratuity put on your onboard account?

    Found out that Teacher OBC is only once per year but they did apply it for already booked cruises. Assume the AARP OBC will be similar?

    Just got approved for educator credit a couple days ago but would much rather have the AARP OBC which would be more.

    Hoping they will keep the AARP gift cards and this isn't substituted for them.

    I emailed my PCC to get details and he said only applied after verification to new bookings.

    Thanks to this forum I just realized retired educators qualified. Got approved but can't apply it to the 6 HAL cruises scheduled over the 15 months- only to new bookings after approval. Guess I have to look into more travel!!
