  1. We enjoy casual dress and obey the rules. We know there will always be people dressed better than us and others dressed worse than us and that's fine.
  2. The poffertjes are in the Grand Dutch Cafe on the Pinnacle ships only. Love them!
  3. We have $300 available for a cruise next year- booked a $199.95 excursion and balance shows as $100.05 with no additional payment needed for the single excursion booked.
  4. We never saw the $1 deposit sale when we logged into HAL many days this week- not that it would have made a difference.
  5. cabinluvn- if you self disembark when you get into the terminal there is free wifi and you can order the car then and it should be there within 15-20 minutes
  6. BTW, there were 3 ships unloading when we did and taxi lines were 2-3 hours long.
  7. You can download the Viggo.com app (Copenhagen's Uber) and have a vehicle there when you disembark. The CPH airport is small and not nearly as chaotic as AMS. Getting to CPH 2 hours prior to your flight should be adequate (our driver told us 60-90 minutes was ok but not for us). You should be fine to make an 11:30 flight as long as you disembark by 8:30-8:45. We were just there in early July.
  8. They played music from 5-6pm in the RS lounge for dancers- several couples participated nightly.
  9. My PCC charged me the same rate listed on the website for my last booking which surprised me since it is refundable and not the increased Advantage fare (which I usually pay). I was pleasantly surprised.
  10. It’s a lot better than NCL! Can’t wait to get back to HAL in August
  11. Agree, the Rolling Stone Lounge band currently on the Oosterdam is the best we've ever heard. Three terrific singers and they play a much greater variety than BB Kings did. There were a great variety of shows on the 31 days. Never disappointed- unfortunately during their Q&A they indicated that they will probably not return when their contract ends.
  12. We have sailed on more than 10 different cruises (with various cruise lines) in the post-Covid world and all of them have experienced similar issues to crew staffing. An article about a year ago, indicated that 40% of the 300K+ people who worked on cruise ships didn’t return to their professions. Crew staff have had many problems getting work visas. All of the cruse lines are trying to give passengers the same experience with fewer staff. Cruise lines are offering the option of room attendants cleaning rooms once a day with no turn down service. Supply chain issues remain an issue. We have gone on cruises that have had shortages of bananas, certain wines and beers, eggs, and straws, just to name a few items. The staff and cruise lines are trying their best. You can still enjoy the experience. Cheers!
  13. Our favorite experience in Dover was finding the White Horse Inn when wandering around the town. It is a tavern from the late 1400's (I believe) that allows English Channel swimmers to sign the walls and ceilings with their names and dates of their successful crossings. There was a group from Philadelphia that had made the swim and were signing the ceiling that day. Pretty cool.
  14. Buy a set of heavy duty magnets that you can use on the cabin walls for hats, backpacks, etc.
  15. that should be okay- won't have long lines to stand in!
  16. What mode of transportation are you using?
  17. Our confirmation printout lists prepaid service charges in the booking components.
  18. The nice thing with the shore excursion credit is that it can now be compounded. We have $300 shore exc credit each and just booked a $199 excursion and now have $101 left. In the past they would only have applied $100 to each excursion. Progress!
  19. On a TA, the aft balconies don't have the wind drafts that the port & starboard balconies get. If you enjoy sitting out on your private balcony to read or relax, these are great.
  20. Is there a $ limit in LaCucina since it is a la carte for those with a dining package?
