  1. I checked prices yesterday and today for several categories of cabins on a cruise I’m taking in March. ALL AI prices were significantly higher when I added back in the cost of gratuities and the OBC eliminated from suite bookings. Here’s one example. I happened to find the exact same CS available for both day’s mock bookings. Hope the collage I attempted as an illustration is clear enough. I’m not bothering to put in the effort for the Veranda, Sunset Skysuite, Aqua Sky Suite or Guarantee cabins. All were higher when the removed items were added back in. The effective Suite guarantee price increased by over $1,000 (when $800 OBC and $552 in Grats were added back into today’s price). Celebrity must think very poorly of our math skills by insisting prices were adjusted to account for removal of gratuities, etc. The 5 examples that I checked showed exactly the opposite was true. This is on ECLIPSE 12 NIGHT March 2nd, 2024
  2. Would be really nice if this was the start of an overall direction correction. Somehow, I doubt it.
  3. LOL about the book Forgot to say mine were stolen in a restaurant in Barcelona precruise.
  4. I doubt is was really targeted. Sounds like the usual Celebrity IT «glitch » with email
  5. I stupidly put my sunglasses on the table right next to my fork and gotten them stolen. Neither husband nor I saw it happen. The thieves are expert! They weren’t even expensive sunglasses, but I still felt violated and annoyed to have to replace them pre-cruise.
  6. Hahaha….like going back to 1,2,3 or Go Big…Better or Best!
  7. In today’s webinar, President Laura said that the fans are generally the ones who are on the same schedule and their cruising partners. Those who have one cruiser who prefers to sleep in (like Laura’s husband) prefer traditional balconies.
  8. One of the Celebrity Captains on an onboard passenger Q&A in 2019 said that they could not replace infinite Verandas with traditional balconies on future Edge Class builds due to the structure of the ship. Think he specifically mentioned something about the hull, but that part is only a vague recollection.
  9. I prefer the chewable Bonine, even though they are way more expensive than the generic (meclizine).
  10. Not the poster, but I use SPLnFFT Noise Meter on my iPhone. I got it several years ago, so I don’t remember if it’s free. I wouldn’t have paid more than a token amt for it, though

  12. They offered the same to me but then they forgot to thaw it, so I had it a few nights later when we had a Prime C reservation. It was really delicious! I have a shellfish allergy, so they were happy to get me the Chilean Sea Bass from Prime C on the night they forgot the Dover Sole. (I’d had way too much beef on that sailing)
  13. No idea. Those were just what was on the balcony when we boarded
  14. For what it’s worth, we had these chairs (with Cushions) in a CW suite for Onward’s 8/22/23 Italy-intensive sailing. There were 3 padded lounge chairs in addition to the table with 4 chairs. Thick cushions were provided for the dining chairs and kept in the suite overnight. Jane PS this was CW 8064 of the Aft Port Corner. We loved the suite. Didn’t really notice any major vibrations, but there was a little noise from above from chairs being moved. Mostly just on White Night with a bit around 8:15 or so on some mornings. It really wasn’t too noticeable in the bedroom.
  15. It actually was a red can, as I recall. It specifically said «zero sugar; zero caffeine » prominently on the can. I don’t seem to have a good photo of it from the ship, but I found this one that resembles it online:
  16. Oops….wrong board. This was about Azamara. Italy-intensive on Onward (22 Aug 23 cruise) had Coke Light (with caffeine) and Coke Zero (w/o caffeine) as diet choices.
  17. I would recommend Azamara, but not until they get past their growing pains from switching over shoreside operations from RCG. Pre-cruise situation for our 8/22/23 Onward Italy-Intensive sailing was unacceptable. The experience onboard was the best cruise we’ve had in many years.
  18. My Eclipse 3/2/24 S. America sailing is showing the $17 price. I know gratuity is extra on N American sailings, but I don’t know about S. Am. Here’s a screenshot from just now. They also showed some martinis further down the menu at $15.50 and one at $19.50. No idea why
