  1. When Summit sailed away this afternoon, she turned north to sail past the Statue of Liberty (black circle) before turning south to head to Bermuda. Both sides of the ship got to see her. I think there was a good view of Lower Manhattan as well.
  2. I don't know what happened. However I can't find it anymore along with the associated posts.
  3. We bought a 3 dinner package on our Constellation cruise back in Oct/Nov. We were able to secure early dining times each time.
  4. Yeah, and I took a paid-cheerleader-accusation "bullet" meant for you in the Japan cancellation thread a little over a month ago, if you remember. The posts have since been deleted.
  5. I got my first glimpse of it when Summit returned to Cape Liberty in Aug 2010 and we were docked. I walked out onto our balcony and it was glowing from the early morning sun light.
  6. I forgot to add that I checked the sailings before and after our upcoming holiday cruise and they both have specialty dining reservations available so it definitely is something that is particular to a holiday sailing.
  7. We have purchased the dining packages before. There are no vouchers waiting in your cabin. You have a choice on which reservations you wish to apply your package to. I don't know about Retreat guests, but normally you have to wait until you get on board and then head over to a specialty restaurant to nail down your exact reservations. I am fairly certain you can book all your reservations at any restaurant (book Murano at the Tuscan Grill desk and vice versa). If you are a planner (I am, too), you will want to head there first when you get on board to have the best choice of dining times. Be sure to have a copy of the ship's itinerary with you in case your first choice of dates are gone (or have a list of dates that will work with you). The person at the reservation desk will usually talk in terms of time and date, "I don't have that available but I can seat you at 7:30 pm on Thursday". To which I typically respond, "where will we be?" because I usually think in terms of the Antigua day, the 3rd sea day, etc. And then you will hear (or imagine) the sighs from the impatient passengers lined up within earshot behind you. Again, as a Retreat guest it is possible you can do them in advance or have your butler do them for you when you get on board. I believe that spots are kept open specifically for suite guests.
  8. @CHEZMARYLOU answered this question recently and said that specialty dining reservations won't become available until about 90 days before the cruise. We have booked several Christmas cruises in the past (pre-COVID) and I remember that we could book specialty dining well in advance of 90 days. On the other hand, we have a Christmas/NYE cruise coming up this December (like you) and no specialty dining is available to book yet either. So maybe things have changed. I can tell you that during our past Christmas cruises that specialty dining reservations were ~$10 more expensive than normal for each night of the cruise (I don't remember if this included the first night which is usually discounted). On Christmas Eve and New Years Eve, there was a special menu with a very elevated price (exceeded $100 pp). So I am expecting to see that when they are finally released for each of our holiday cruises.
  9. @luckyinpa, here is another website that you can use to track Summit as she leaves New York harbor this afternoon: cruisemapper. Ellis Island is on the map but not labeled.
  10. If you have the time today, you should watch Summit's sail away out of Cape Liberty at 4pm EDT. Here is the Port of New York webcam that will track Summit as she sails away from the pier and under the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge. Another useful website to monitor during the sailaway is MarineTraffic which allows you to Summit's sail away on a map and it will give you a clearer idea as to see the ship's position relative to the Statue of Liberty as she sails. The link to MarineTraffic is also at the bottom of the Port of New York webcam page.
  11. Ok, I ended up booking the Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay Hotel today. When rooms for Apr 2024 first became available for booking last month, the room rates were all above $600 per night. I looked today and the rooms were in the mid-$300 range. So I went ahead and booked a bay view room with balcony. I look forward to the view. Because we are going diving at Key Largo, we are staying there for one night first.
  12. The spreadsheet tool worked for me, I just checked it. I am not sure which hack you tried, but give the spreadsheet a try if you haven't and another try if you have. Just make sure you log yourself out of the Celebrity website beforehand.
  13. Here is the link to the excursions brochure download page on Celebrity's website: https://www.celebritycruises.com/excursion-brochure/celebrity/ It hasn't worked since the pandemic.
  14. Lol! Wow! Are you a fugitive perhaps? Or is this a cry for help?
  15. Here is a link to a thread that describes a clever work around method to do exactly what you are looking for--thanks to @NorthStarStateCruiser. This spreadsheet tool has been created to achieve the same thing but it allows you to see shorex, drink packages, specialty restaurants, etc that are currently being offered for your sailing of interest.
  16. Spring TAs were released in mid-Dec last year along with the European itineraries (link). The European sailings were supposed to be released on Dec 5 (below), but they were delayed by a week.
  17. They must manage it somehow. During our Jan 2019 Reflection cruise, there were a bunch of passengers that brought their motorcycles with them. Reflection docked at Barbados, Jan 8 2019
  18. I think that this cruise would be great for your children. Celebrity has an excellent kids program on board for kids in that age range. I think they would also enjoy the wonderful Bermuda beaches. The kids will have a blast and you will enjoy it, too. We have taken our two kids on Celebrity cruises since they were 3 years old and 7 months old, respectively. Their 6th cruise was to Bermuda and they loved it. Horseshoe Bay, Aug 2010 Summit docked at Kings Wharf, Aug 2010
  19. I am glad that everything worked out. Thanks for getting back to us and closing the loop.
  20. But I could have sworn that there was another art auction company in its place.
  21. Bad reviews are the least of their problems. Park West has always seemed to have lawsuits and legal problems on their hands (2008 Dali example, more recent Max example). You should buy their art only because you like it and not for investment reasons.
  22. I am glad you enjoyed your cruise. With regards to the Park West group tying up the Sky Lounge every day, was that due to onboard auctions or some private function for Park West?
  23. To me, this does not say anything new than what has already been communicated in the altered Revolution Schedule that is currently posted on Celebrity's trade website. The old chart had dates and the current one has the dates replaced with TBD. To me this is tantamount to saying that the schedule is on hold and pending review. So I just feel you received the written version of what is in the chart.
