  1. You should have two USA outlets and two European outlets located by the desk. There are no outlets in the bathroom anymore.
  2. Ugh. It's starting to get depressing from reading this forum.
  3. There did not appear to be any mahjong sets in the library (Deck 8) where the board games are kept during our Constellation TA cruise back in Oct/Nov.
  4. BTW, I do wish that Celebrity would just honor the mis-pricing or provide a more generous settlement. After all they are going to get it back through room service charges, reduced MDR food quality to encourage customers to eat at specialty restaurants, no-show charges, etc etc.
  5. I wasn't saying your definition is wrong. I am saying that it appeared to be an error for a couple of people that were affected. So it can be recognized and certainly not something we can all agree on.
  6. All I am saying is that two of the affected parties realized that the pricing was an error. This is in response to "how can I tell if it is an error" and not an attempt to define it (because you can't) or settle it.
  7. I had posted this in the now-removed thread, but it bears repeating here. Although there is no universal definition on what constitutes a pricing mistake, in all fairness to Celebrity, the recent Silhouette pricing controversy was interpreted to be an error by at least two different Cruise Critic members.
  8. Thank you so much for posting your review and thoughts. It looks like you had a great time.
  9. It looks like Constellation is underway.
  10. Good question. Our Horizon cruise delayed its departure on embarkation day (Mar 2005) at Tampa due to fog. We ended up overnighting there and leaving the next morning. As a result we lost our first stop (Grand Cayman). We received a refund on the port fees and that was it. It is different than this situation because at least we got on the ship on time.
  11. I agree. Hopefully Celebrity will restart the Connection gatherings soon. And hopefully there won't be an extra charge to attend.
  12. Have an awesome cruise! BTW, sorry about your Buckeyes. I thought they were going to pull it out.
  13. I totally understand. I was the only one in my family that got up as Infinity sailed thru Glacier Alley. However it was the only time during the cruise that we saw glaciers that close to the ship. If you are hoping to see it from the comfort of your cabin, you need to be on the port (left) side or in an aft balcony cabin. Holanda Glacier, Dec 31 2016
  14. No one on Cruise Critic seemed happy when LLP was running the company anyway.
  15. While on Constellation last month, I noticed our FV lacked a door bell. The FVs on her sister ships have them. So the room service attendant used the hallway phone right across from our FV door to announce that our food was ready to be brought in.
  16. To give you an idea of how many passengers are affected by this coming change, here is one single data point. Below is a photo of a sheet that was in Constellation's galley during our Transatlantic cruise. It indicates which cabins ordered room service breakfast on that day--presumably by filling out the room service card (and not by calling it in on the morning of). I am guessing that the shaded cabin numbers were for hot breakfast orders (26 cabins) where the unshaded cabins were for continental breakfast (40 cabins). There are no suites on the list. Oct 31 was a sea day--our 5th sea day in fact--and the 15 night cruise was a little more than half over. I laughed when I saw that 3 cabins forgot to mark down what time they wanted their breakfast delivered.
  17. In principle, I agree with you. However in reality, I believe cruise fares are going higher and evidently we will be getting less service.
  18. I just checked my next 3 non-Galapagos sailings (Dec 2023, Apr 2024, Apr 2025) and the room service language is unchanged--for now. I restarted my app to be sure. We use room service for breakfast on every port day. And sometimes for lunch when we get back to the ship in the mid afternoon
  19. That's what we stayed in and we very much enjoyed it. It was one of the highlights of our entire trip including the cruise. You should verify what the minimum length stay is to reserve a Superior Double. I know of an individual who posted last month that he wanted to book one in Oct or Nov however 4 nights were required. Judging from their reservation calendar, I think 3 nights are required for this coming Jun. I know you are interested in 2024, you should just make sure you know what it is especially before buying your plane tickets.
  20. Good to hear that you enjoyed NYE! Celebrity does a nice job.
  21. You may find this thread useful and you may wish to ask your questions there as well:
  22. I would email them to find out how far in advance you can book a room and then mark that date. If you are interested in a Pantheon view, read their room descriptions as they are very clear which room classifications have the view. Their view rooms often require a minimum number of nights (e.g. 3 or 4 nights) which is another reason that you should book as far in advance as you can.
