  1. My experience is you can't get to the summary page without traversing the page with the option to select a refundable deposit. I do agree however that the summary should include the result of the selection on the customization page. Cruise Care, Gratuities, and deposit type.
  2. I have done this multiple times where I book a refundable deposit onboard then change the ship and sail date to another sailing at the NRD rate (reservation becomes NRD). You don't have to increase the deposit (unless it's a group rate). I've never cancelled but since they only have $200 of my money that's all they would get. Once you are in the penalty period after final payment then the full deposit amount would be lost. There were reports a few months ago from people I know and trust (Jim included) about losing book onboard OBC when making changes. I don't think this is supposed to happen and has never happened to me, if it did I'd be escalating to the executive office. Now I believe the book later bookings where you choose a sailing at a later date may have different conditions where you could lose the associated OBC. I don't use these as I was burned several years ago by a prior version. So for your direct question it's my understanding that you could reprice your onboard booking at the NRD prevailing rate/promo and retain the book onboard bonus OBC keeping your $200 deposit and if cancelled prior to final payment you would lose only the $200.
  3. All the airlines seem to be doing this since Covid. I actually had Delta tell me it was my fault for booking so far in advance. I had a return flight from Tahiti to RDU where they only have 1 flight a day and it alternates between Air France and Delta (code share partners). About 2 months before the flight Air France decided not to fly on Mondays anymore, only choice was to move to Delta the next day. Add $500 resort night at my expense. Day of flight a couple of weeks ago Delta cancelled due to weather in LA. I went to the app and moved to next flight the next day only to find out there were no Premium Economy seats available so they put me in Economy from PPT to ATL and then Comfort Plus to RDU. It would have added another $500 resort night as well. Ended up booking on United same day in Premium Economy at an additional $600 more than my original flight. So Delta cost me $1100 even after being refunded for a flight I never took with them! Just saying it's not just flights by Celebrity. Last minute flight changes by the airlines cause these problems especially with the limited seats in the premium cabins.
  4. And the open for lunch on port days lasted about 2 months!
  5. It's midnight in the timezone of the departure port. So midnight Athens time. Since you are on the east coast you should be able to try just after 5 pm.
  6. And that's on your TA. You should have a very serious conversation with them prior to finding a new one!
  7. Even the Chase Sapphire insurance has horribly low medical coverage and doesn't cover pre-existing conditions. While I depend on it and self insure for cancellation/interruption I carry a separate annual travel medical policy. There is an entire board here on Cruise Critic on travel insurance.
  8. Not true on Celebrity. The change fee is only for change of ship or sail date. I just did a category change a week ago and confirmed no change fee. Now if your TA charges a change fee I'd look for a new TA.
  9. MoveUp is offered to all categories. Many people MoveUp from Inside to Balcony or Balcony to Aqua or any other combination. Your booked category will limit what's offered to you. Inside I don't think is offered Suite. Balcony may only be offered Sky Suite, no upper suites. I don't know the complete rules and they may vary sailing to sailing.
  10. The inclusions for the package state early access to the terminal and then goes on to say you should select an early arrival time during online checkin so you can make the lunch which ends at 1:30. Then it says to consult the FAQs which have exactly the same information. It doesn't say early boarding although it's pretty useless if it doesn't include some sort of priority.
  11. You can book refundable and later change to a non refundable deposit rate. Once a reservation is non refundable deposit it can never be changed back to refundable.
  12. The center MC suites on the lower decks up through deck 11 connect to interior staterooms. I know there was a time when they would book these 2 rooms together on the same reservation as a "family suite" where the passengers in the interior room get access to the Retreat as well. Of course this comes at a higher price than booking an interior room separately. It might be worth a call to see if this option is available. You might have better luck with info on your specific suite issue by calling the Retreat desk at 1-877-RETREAT. These shoreside concierges specialize in the suite experience.
  13. If you are blocked because you haven't played the required amount. Try this. On many ships now they offer $5 of free play a couple of times per sailing. To use the free play you have to transfer the promo $$ from your card to the machine but you won't be able to because you are blocked. Play dumb and say you tried to use your free play but it wouldn't work. We have seen them unblock people so they can use the free play. Then you should be able to transfer more $$.
  14. https://www.celebritycruises.com/cruise-gifts/items-results?category=ONBDCR&collection=ONBDCR If you have their reservation number you can do it directly online. Otherwise when you go to checkout there is a phone number to call for assistance.
  15. Many times the excursion company will refund if you don't make it into port. Have you inquired about their cancellation policy wrt cruise ships?
  16. If you have no plans on using it I would call and ask that it be refunded now.
  17. Really? Wow. Is it no longer refundable at all? Say I ask to get a refund at 6 months?
  18. But then they tell you to make sure to select an early boarding time for the exclusive lunch. (Same lunch as Concierge, B2B and Zenith I presume). !!?? I guess that's what you were saying, you can get in the terminal but maybe not board the ship until your assigned boarding time. Ridiculous
  19. There is no soda package. I believe soda is $4.00 plus 20% ir $4.80. If you are sailing in UK or Australia where they wrap the gratuity into the price it may be $5.00.
  20. It's my understanding that the Cruise Later Certificate allows changing all passenger names. So if you can get them to buy the certificate (their $200). Then after they are home when selecting the actual sailing you could put your names on the reservation. They/you would have 30 days to transfer to a TA if desired. You could have them review this plan with the future cruise folks to make sure. Of course your friends would need to front the deposit.
  21. I got the changes for June/July Iceland and Norway. They cut one stop by 3 hrs (departing early) and the next day is just cruising? The OP's post is for a November cruise, I don't think that's Norway.
  22. If you ask your stateroom attendant nicely they might be able to find you a couple. I have a drawer full.
  23. The dark blue lines are the ships track for their port call yesterday. Bottom line is they dock in Nice proper. I've seen them dock on the straight section directly across the bay as well.
