  1. IMO, AQ suite not worth it- we prefer Luminae restaurant. So much better then Blu. And we do not use the thermal suite- Tried it, but really found it not worth it. Also, when we sailed on AQ we had some items in the room, that had a strong perfumed order that need to be removed as it made me choke. No value at all IMO.
  2. We never made reservations at Luminae- We typically went for dinner around 6. I remember on the M and S class ships a long line starts about 5:30 for seating in that restaurant.
  3. I am torn. Have had a implant post put in $$$ Just found out that the "tooth" will cost me an additional $1900. while we have dental insurance, will still cost me half. Guess I will pass!
  4. I definately would consider the summit. While we love Royal Oasis class ships, The summit was revolutionized and is so much more modern. The Rapsody is old and doesn't have all of the amenities of the Oasis Class ships, our favorite Royal ships. We sailed on the Adventure of the Seas last year and it was very disappointing- especially the old rundown junior suites and cafeteria style buffet. Never again will we consider such an old ship.
  5. Having sailed in an infinite veranda on the Edge- found it so small. While you get a few extra feet IMO it seemed very narrow- also a few times during the cruise, the window was locked by the captain. He/she can do it in bad weather or if windows and side of ship are being cleaned . We really were very disappointed. It is truly a windowed cabin that works most of the time.
  6. I would use the money to purchase dinners at specialty restaurants. Imo moving up to a sky suite has value
  7. Thanks for your opinion. Probably will not bid.
  8. Captain Kate is great. She is so visible and interacts with the guests. Some Captains aren't visible nor interact with guests. All captains should learn from her.
  9. We will be sailing on the Silhouette in January. We are currently booked in a sky suite. Any opinions about the move up program to a Celebrity suite? Have had Royal suites in the past, but the rate, even move-up is too expensive for us- loved the 1 1/2 bathrooms. The Celebrity suite only has one bathroom. Any thoughts?
  10. Agree. However a lot of movement in the front of the ship. The port hole verandas almost in the front of the ship. Long walk to elevators. But IMO better then the infinite veranda
  11. The Lobster Murano was too rich for me. Had it a couple of times and it made me sick. Now I ask for the broiled lobster tails. Never a problem and delicious.
  12. Have been on over 50 cruises. Went on the Apex last January and did a b/2/b. The ship was wonderful. If you are not interested in a infinite veranda- do an aft veranda. I would try to upgrade to a sky suite- They are the best and the suite lounge and restaurant are fabulous. Enjoy.
  13. One cruise we had a similar cabin and heard the life boats knocking when sailing in the wind.
  14. So hard to just pick one. We really enjoyed 150 central park. I would do day 3- However, once on board, the first night you might be able to dine in another restaurant for 1/2 price . I would choose Chops. In addition, the last night they might offer a special deal also so Jamie's is also very good.. Wonderland's food wasn't for us. You might was to try a lunch special at one of these restaurants also. Book on board.
  15. Is your sky suite considered partially obstructed? We like sky suites, but typically are higher up. Enjoy
  16. lunch at the Lawn Club Grill is never crowded. Shouldn't be a problem getting a reservation on board. While the food is great- the lunch menu isn't the same as the dinner menu. The lunch specialty is big fresh hamburgers with all of the trimmings. Of course other menu items available. Enjoy
  17. In a suite, you have access to the suite lounge. In addition the suite deck and restaurant. Well worth it
  18. We love the S class ships. Typically book a suite- we will sail on the Silly in about two months. Reflection and Silhouette our favorites as we enjoy the Lawn club grill. The Equinox was also great, but once you do the glass blowing, not again, IMO. We recently sailed on the Apex. Sister of the Beyond. Hands down the ship wins. So if you enjoy time on the ship, dining on the ship- The e-class cannot be beat. If its all about the cost and itinerary, do what works best for your budget.
  19. Probably too early. Sometimes customs arrive late so the arrival time hasn’t anything to do with disembarking. If you get off the ship around 8-8:30 you need a car service to airport. Can take 1/2 hour as other cruise ships also disembarking. The airport and security take at least 1/2 hour. Can be up to 1 hour. You missed your flight!
  20. We used to get unlimited pictures for under $150. That was a bargain! Now crazy prices, but few take pictures. Years ago lines- now photographers just hanging around. So while they charge more money- are they really making more money?
  21. We typically enjoy a hot breakfast with waiter service. We have breakfast in Coastal kitchen on S and E class ships. If just a quick light breakfast, enjoy the captains club, tuscan grill breakfast. Prefer it served by the waiter as when I see guests not using tongs or putting food back, it doesn't make the food look enjoyable. Don't dine at buffets either-
  22. used to do photos daily and had a unlimited package. The price has increased significantly and we no longer take pictures. We use our own phone camera's which are great. Did the green screen, it was fine. But you are wearing the same outfit in each picture.
  23. We sail in suites. Wouldn’t consider aq My remarks for those who don’t sail in suites and pay for aq. Sometimes, concierge class a great value
