  1. As soon as you board go to customer services. Sometimes they have cabins available that weren’t shared with the move up people. You should be on line as soon as you board. Good luck
  2. We had starbucks coffee in the cafe promenade on the Adventure of the Seas in March using my coffee card. It wasn't like they make it at my hometown starbucks. The barrista didn't heat the milk to a proper temp so the cappuccino didn't taste like you get a a freestanding starbucks. Some of the ships do have a real starbucks, and hopefully they make the cappuccino correctly.
  3. We were in a jr suite. Previously on the adventure we were in an owners suite. Imo no value. I am a diamond member had a lounge and got 4 free drinks. No suite restaurant on the adventure. When in a suite we had access to a specialty restaurant for breakfast only. No real suite deck. Bleacher chairs in direct sun only. My dh has had skin cancer on his nose and face and he isn’t allowed in the sun. The jr suite gave us more space and that was the only benefit. The ship needs major dry dock for all cabins and suites
  4. We were on the Adventure in May- different itinerary. Was a true disappointment- you can read my review on Adventure reviews. The ship was very crowded. The cabins old . Full of rust and stains- our toilet stopped working and needed repair a few times during the cruise- the food- was poor. Ship was so understaffed. We tried to get tender tickets to go to maine, and their was a horrible crowd in the promenade of a few hundered people- so we left and decided not to get off the ship. I wonder how many people got covid after that cruise. We enjoy Royal and are Diamond members. We have a cruise in two weeks on the Oasis- we are in suite class so can try to isolate if the ship is full. Going foward- Oasis class only.
  5. I feel the older you are, the more you should be comfortable. I have friends who retired and cruised on the cheap. Unfortunately they passed away much earlier then expected so never had the opportunity to cruise more. While you shouldn’t squander your money, you make plans and sometimes they don’t happen. Enjoy today!
  6. Unless you were charged, means nothing- Your bid will be locked a day or so before the actual cruise. So no changes accepted.
  7. First- Hibachi definately- fun- then 150 central park, then chops, then Giovanni's or Jamies- We also have the unlimited dining and will do Chops twice, 150 Central park . Since ours is 9 nights- probably repeat Jamies also- My DH likes chops so that might be three nights- others maybe for lunch- New texas barbecue- Johnny rockets- etc. We will have breakfast in Costal Kitchen.
  8. We are also cruising in a couple of weeks- Hate the test- but as the cases of Covid are on the rise- we need to be diligent and continue. Many people do not report that they are covid positive so actual case must be much higher. Fortunately, all (most) guests are vaccinated and hopefully kids also now.
  9. I actually used to enjoy Labadee- one of our favorite ports. However, we prefer cococay. So much nicer- more to do for all ages. The Beach club is wonderful. Now the cabanas in Labadee (also Coco Cay) are so overpriced. We will not get one on our next trip. Would pay half of what they are asking.
  10. I bought that card on our last cruise- however the "starbucks" coffee is only the beans, not like a true starbucks store purchase. But better then the ships coffee.
  11. I would pay that. Seems like a good deal. If prices decrease, you can cancel and rebook. We buy that package and since we are diamond members, get four free alcoholic drinks a day which is plenty for us.
  12. The diamond lounge concierge she never said we could. Other diamond lounge members also complained. Yes cafe promenade. Clearly I sail too much! Overall, not our finest cruise. Old ship needs major renovations. I will stick to oasis class ships
  13. Glad we are Diamond members. We get four free alcoholic drinks a day. We took the refreshment package, so we get unlimited non alcoholic beverages. The cost was much more reasonable. and will work for us.
  14. Read reviews on cruise critic. I do no recall making any reservations in May.
  15. Early in the morning, Johnny Rockets quiet- makes omelettes- once the merry-go-round and slides working- very noisy.
  16. The concierge never told anyone who inquired. Don’t remember starbucks on that ship. The machine in the suite lounge not working sometimes either. Dry dock necessary!
  17. We were recently on the Adventure and most days the coffee machine was broken. People trying to fix it. Not worth anything. You can purchase an inexpensive coffee card and have a much better cup of coffee at sorrentos and enjoy with your family as you can both use the same card. I think it was good for 15 coffees. Including espresso and cappuccino. Only diamond and diamond plus allowed in the lounge.
  18. Never had a problem with Air2sea on celebrity or royal. We book first class and we can change the flight- Hope that not being able to modify isn't the policy going foward! We have a December and January b/2/b cruise and like the policy of not paying air until final payment for the cruise is due. Of course if no flights are available- we would have to fly out the next day and unfortunately pay for a hotel. Airlines today are so unreliable-change and canceling flights-due to staffing issues.
  19. CPV better, Quiet- peaceful- no noise from Merry go round-Aqua theater , rock climbing wall and slides.
  20. Maybe they are saving it for a star class person. Who knows We were once bumped on Celebrity in a specialty restaurant- by a large group.
  21. Agree about personal preference- however if you cannot sleep then that is a problem. I am a light sleeper and if I don't have enough sleep- it will ruin my cruise. However, some very young people can sleep through a hurricane- lucky them!
  22. They usually have a tip jar on the piano also
  23. I wouldn't book a guarantee unless a full suite GTY. You might be very lucky- or be over or under a noisy public place or venue. I do not like to gamble- Some people are very lucky- others not- The ships are now getting very crowded so it is likely that the "good" cabins are taken quickly.
  24. You cannot book until onboard. Easy to do just walking over to kiosk with restaurant personnel
