Majestic Princess a cheapest guarantee balcony and we ordered a drink with our dinners and they were never charged We did not take advantage during the day as we had our BYO wine and the fridg contents The TV channels I found entertaining were those we did not have at home like sky for a few serials so 5 days different entertainment was not to be sneezed at What is rationalising about my experience? We were contacted every day to see if we were ok or needed anything and were offered medicine if required but as said we did not feel unwell at all ALSO they will be compensating us for the days we were confined

If you do not feel ill then being in isolation on a cruise ship is great They feed you give you fresh linen every day you have all the tv channels we don't have at home and they give free wifi and we got free booze We did not know we had it The ship tested everyone and we were positive but feeling fine If we were on land we could have been passing it on to everyone we met so no grumbles here

If you go as a party of 8 you will be on your own as that is almost the top size for a table

Just had a change of itinerary as they have to scrape the bottom of Splendor for the 29th Jan cruise We miss a 2nd day at Mystery Island and it becomes a sea day and they swapped around the ports of Vila and the 1st Mystery Island stop and they say shorter hours on land but no details as yet. $50 pp compensation up to $100 per cabin It may be interesting watching the divers work if we have a good view!!!

Why worry about having the same menu for 3 days That gives you more than 3 choices I am sure and at home we do not change our menu every 10 days or so but often have the same meal a couple of days later

Be very very very careful We as a group booked a tour with a bus company for McLaren Vale wine tour and lunch and paid up front including insurance cover - quite a fair chunk of $$$. We were a table of 10 in 2008 and sadly although for several years we also met up with the others they had passed now Just we 4 left. From other cruise tables (or trivia teams) we have made firm friends from loads of countries who we meet and stay with and visa versa - must be some 40 couples by now A great way to make lifelong friends - even if - at our age we get depleted every now and again

We did the inaugural one of 76 nights going the the opp direction of how it is now done It was fantastic everything was unforgettable and we have friends from our large table we still meet regularly although it is a 250km round trip to do so
