  1. Entirely depends on where the back to back is happening (US, Europe, UK, etc) and how many back to backers Every cruise that ends in the US results in every cruiser needing to clear immigration (and customs if they're disembarking that day) as the CBP needs to "zero' the ship. That means, any back to back guests will have to clear immigration on turnaround day. Process gives two choices - 1) disembark at normal times, on your own, and enjoy the day as a port day, pick up more wine, whatever - and you can come back anytime after general boarding has begun, and show your "In Transit" card and bypass check-in lines, go straight through security and board the ship as normal. 2) meet in whichever designated area for Back to Back cruisers at designated time and clear immigration together, either when a CBP officer comes aboard to do it (sometimes, when there's a very large group) OR exit ship together with ship's escort, clear immigration, wait in holding area til ship is zeroed and board all together when cleared. You can then go straight back to your cabin, do laundry, whatever.. Your choice. And yes, choice 1) is very much an option post Covid, we did it several times in January and February. In Europe, generally speaking, there's no formalities, it's essentially a port day, you're free to come and go. And so forth..
  2. There is a small glass counter top display case with a limited selection of pastries in the morning and some finger sandwiches in the afternoon. Absolutely nothing like the International Cafe. And again, only available during open hours, not 24/7 like IC. This is from Island's first post-covid sailing:
  3. And all cabin categories on that sailing show available for me, including being able to choose my own cabin in virtually every category. So, it's not gone or sold out, by any means. Much more likely to be a glitch on your end.
  4. Dolphin deck, like all the Royal class ships.
  5. La Patisserie (one portion of Good Spirits bar), and Horizon Court - there's an entire specialty coffee bar there with all the options. Both only during open hours, no 24/7 venue on Island, not even room service as there isn't a 24/7 venue for them to get it from (unless something drastically changed post- Covid). Safe travels.
  6. Yes, the Naked Fisherman beach aka Smuggler's Cove beach, is lovely. And delicious food and cocktails. Anse Cochon is another wonderful beach, off the regular tourist trail. Vigie beach, walking distance from the port, is mainly locals and those awaiting their flights at Vigie airport. Choc Beach is beautiful also, no amenities in the immediate area, but beautiful beach. Landings beach is beautiful, and Gros Islet beachfront. And so forth all around the north end, and off the main tourist beats Safe travels..
  7. Yeah, have seen the official "press release" news story, I did actually do some research before responding, including checking with family in Anse La Raye - doesn't make any difference to anything I wrote above. No one knows anything about it, including those of my family who line in Anse La Raye.. Particularly as it was theoretically opened just before the pandemic hit and would have subsequently been shut down for the duration... . If you're wanting a beach break via the ship's tours, go for it. Why not? The area isn't home to our nicer beaches, but doesn't hurt to check out some off the beaten path places! Enjoy, safe travels.
  8. Never heard of it. Doesn't show up as a place on any maps nor do I know anyone around here who's ever heard of it. It's likely some cruise line name for a beach break, but no idea what beach they're taking you to..

  10. Glad you got booked, enjoy! However, I think you misunderstood the post about 50% occupancy. Princess only opens around 50% of available seating in advance of sailing. The other 50% is saved for onboard reservations walk-ups, etc The post was not saying Princess is limiting seating to only 50% of occupancy - and in our 4 or so cruises since the restart, they're definitely booking full : every table was full on our recent Regal sailings.
  11. The drive to Pigeon Island is not very scenic at all. You're going through the built up city and suburbs. It'll be different and sort of scenic as I guarantee it's very different looking city areas than you're used to, but it's not scenic really - only a few ocean views along the way, etc. You can do a quick driver up the Morne to the layby before heading to PI, great views over the city and harbor, see the Governor General's home, etc. Otherwise - you're driving along the highway through the city, etc. PI is lovely for a half day or 3/4 day trip.. leave more time to get there/back than it looks on paper, only one road and it can have some solid traffic at times! Safe travels.
  12. Standard mini-suite, looks just like the photo on the website, and there's hundreds of photos of Royal/Regal/Majestic mini-suites online, along with hundreds of YouTube videos. They all look alike! You have the Retreat Pool above you, may have some noise in the morning as chairs are set up, and some noise from guests rearranging chairs to suit then throughout the day, etc. Otherwise, it's a popular location as you have easy easy access to Lido deck with pool, grill, bar, etc and you're near the forward stairwell..
  13. Food from specialty restaurants is extra charge, whether quarantine or not. Regular room service is no charge (except the few specific items, ie steak and fries, pizza, etc) whether quarantine or not, and MDR room service is included when MDR is operating for those in quarantine.. Specialty restaurant food is extra charge regardless of room type, quarantine or not .
  14. Here's what the third and fourth berth on Crown (and any Grand Class ship) will look like when open and set up. Depending on how young/small your two kiddos are, they may fit just fine on the lower sofa bed berth. There is no dividing curtain between main bed area and sitting /3rd and 4th berths...there's a bump out type divider as below.... Hope that helps!
  15. If the budget affords, Vista Suite. A whole lot more perks with an actual suite versus a mini-suite (it's very unfortunate that Princess names these such as there's nothing"suite like" about them - there's no perks, etc it's just a larger room). Vista Suite will come with a lot of perks including specialty dining included on the first evening, specialty breakfast (suite only breakfast in specialty restaurant, amazing), Club Class dining, Concierge Lounge, Platinum/Elite/Suite lounge each evening, priority boarding/disembark, priority line at Guest Services, shoe shine, laundry (unlimited), afternoon tea in cabin if you want, room service from MDR when open, and so forth (details listed at Princess website). https://www.princess.com/downloads/pdf/ships/PrincessSuite_eFlyer.pdf Assuming the budget can handle it - always a full suite.. Safe travels..
  16. You really can't find many pics or videos online? Google Regal Princess M106 and voila, of videos and photos popped right up. Literally first thing to come up is this video: And here's Majestic M106, the very next video, which is exact same cabin: And photo: And so forth. Hope that helps
  17. https://floridahealthcovid19.gov/testing-sites/ You select Broward County, the Ft Lauderdale and voila - Multiple sites. Plus the Lab Doctor's, and the pier. And pharmacies. Or: https://www.broward.org/CoronaVirus/pages/collection-sites.aspx From Googling Ft Lauderdale Covid Testing....

  19. Absolutely not worth $1600 for 14 nights!! Not at all , IMO.. for one extra dish and different linens, flowers and menu cover? No way... For that much, you could dine in a specialty restaurant every single night, and still have almost $800 left You could book another cruise. You could book numerous spa treatments. You could go to the Sanctuary every single day, and have $$ leftover. You could book another cruise! Lol. (Yes, already wrote it, but bears repeating). Honestly, for two 350ml bottles of wine, an extra dish at dinner and Terry cloth robes? Not worth it at all at that price, IMO. We've always had excellent service in the MDR, including post coved in regular MDR with no reservations. No difference to what we experienced in Club Class post Covid in CC dining. Both excellent.. YMMV.
  20. While that is their printed T&C's, in reality, many have been able to have it amended to being the nonalcoholic package for third and fourth adults in cabins, including myself - despite explaining in detail to my mother that it made absolutely no difference, as the Premier Beverage Package included all the same nonalcoholic beverages as the Soda and More, etc, and there was no discount on Plus pricing. My TA had to call to do it, it can't be done online.. there's no cost savings to doing such in any case..
  21. I'm not the OP. I have zero issues with Princess Plus, Premier Beverage Package pricing, or the other offers Princess has at times . Nor am I the one I suggesting Princess should have a nonalcoholic package available instead - as obviously, I'm well aware of the various options.. I was simply responding to the poster, #6, saying Princess should offer a nonalcoholic package - which they do. Of course, the nonalcoholic packages aren't offered in Plus pricing (although it is for minors and/or third/fourth persons in cabin), but for those who have ran the numbers, the Plus pricing actually works very well (better than buying each component standalone) even for those who don't drink alcohol, particularly if they don't receive any internet discount as Platinum or Elite.. All the best.
  22. Princes does offer nonalcoholic beverage package, 3 different ones actually. Premium Coffee and Soda Package Classic Soda Package New Grounds Coffee Package Of course if you're choosing Princess Plus pricing, you receive the Premier Beverage Package as part of the package pricing - which includes all of the above plus up to 15 alcoholic drinks a day..
  23. Early dining is the most popular. There's almost always lines for dinner at 5, even with reservations and all.. later dining, after 7:3/8pm is much less crowded.. The Seawalk is literally less than a minute across, it's never crowded at all, you can walk it any time at all, if there's someone there, a minute wait and they're across. Non-issue to avoid any crowd. CG, again, earlier is almost always the more crowded dining time. Later seatings, 8, 8:30, 9 - much much less crowded at all. Later shows in the theater are generally less crowded overall, but seats in the back tend to go quick, particularly for those who may want to sneak out in case they're not enjoying it. You'll have to be a bit strategic on finding a seat without people next to you.. Casino - it's small, you won't be able to socially distance much at all - later night generally less people (and by that, after 10/10:30) but then they also start closing tables as there's less people! Machines are open 24/7 (except in port) so you can play at off times.. and tables are open all day on sea days, generally much less crowded than early evening... Some things only happen once a night, like the game shows and such - and socially distancing isn't possible given the smaller venues they're held in - so be prepared to either skip those or be prepared to be in close proximity.. they're taped and shown on TV the next day if you want to catch them without having to sit in close contact with someone.. As occupancy goes up and up aboard, options to socially distance go down and down... Take lots of extra masks, be prepared to skip things if staying socially distanced is of utmost importance to you, etc. Good luck and enjoy!!
