  1. 25 yrs ago would see this on almost every Cruise was on. My then 8-10yr Daughter loved it, had Curry on Royal at least 2-3 nites a Sailing. She even had Caviar a couple nites. Even today 75% what she eats I wont touch. She makes Dinner every nite and have to decide if I'm on my own that nite, as was last 2 nites... Now my 13yr old Grand Daughter she'll eat what Mom Cooks but she Loves her Steak. Funny thing she does not care for things with ground beef or Hamburgers, calls it Fake Steak
  2. Agree, on my Cruises few months ago wasnt a real bad deal of press in bulk for flat rate. Might been $30 and inc my 4 pants and 14 shirts Yup. Doing this for over 25yrs, Bring Dozen clean shirts and have Royal press them. Back and ready before Dinner second nite. The years before that I'd pay local cleaners to press all my shirts/pants then need bring large garment bag with my suitcase try keep everything from getting wrinkled. In 2019 my last Cruises before CV my suitcase was random selected for thorough search. What a mess! Everything wadded up thrown into my suitcase.
  3. Sure doesnt always happen but they counted my 12pack soda pop bottles at 5 US Ports in last 3yrs. While in line took a drink of one bottle with my meds. Made me throw bottle away
  4. Just Spring 2022-Fall 2023 for Traditional Early Main Dining I've had/have started at 5:00, 5:15, 5:30 & 6:00. Though correct for MTD pretty sure all have been 6:45pm on these 16 Cruises
  5. Growing up, also working Retail and Restaurants in USA on Canadian Border, or when deciding when purchasing items in USA or Canada, always had to know the Conversion Rate of that Day. Bank back then would provide Rate to me/us when was there with Daily Deposit. Was few yrs then when it jumped a lot. We had no computers and lucky if even had calculator. First job used a non-electric adding machine and a non-electric cash register. Good old days, paper and pencil math to even figure sales Tax and add to total purchase
  6. Good to know, Thanks. Had to for Columbia stop a few months ago. Have 2 more Cruises there this yr
  7. It started a long time ago. At one time Diamond was THE Top Tier. Access to Concierge, first on/off Ship(except Wedding Parties). First made Diamond in the 90's we were always in first 10 off Ship straight to the Car parked less then 50yrds from Ship in Miami.
  8. Years ago they were the small bite sized packaged cookies before the onboard made ones. Think use to get packages nuts at one time also. Long as still get my SOLO 340+ discount I'm sticking with Royal. Little more then that, though the cheap water bottles Royal provides now are less then 1/4 what can pop is wholesale. Not that like doing this to Loyal C&A Members
  9. Though every few yrs it changes. 20+ ago WindJammer had China not plastic plates,"Bong" at 3pm to announce Tea Time served there. No swimwear allowed, after laying by the Pool I'd have go Cabin to change just to eat WJ Lunch. But back then on every Sea Day Barbecue lunch was served on Pool Deck. They even had a table for every 2 Loungers. Then Dinner in WJ was even more Formal, table cloths, Candles, Waiters to serve and you could order off Main Dining Menu
  10. Agree, no set times even Day to Day on some Cruises. On smaller Ships I been on 7-1030am, 6-830pm Dinner. Lunches 1130-3 which Wonder is also doing. Then some sailings depending on Port Hours can change just for that Port. where might open at 6am, Lunch not open til noon and even have one that I did last yr Lunch didnt open until 12:30.
  11. Polar Bear Plunge! Seen Videos where they were sweep shoveling Snow off Ships open Decks, Yuck! I like a White Christmas but when I'm on Vacation/Cruise it better be WARM! And I've been very lucky, haven't been on a 100% Full or higher capacity Cruise since at least mid 90's. Funny thing is on Longer Repo's in the Solarium the older crown settles in on the tables/chairs for whole day. Eat, Read, even Sleep. Not Judging, I do the same on my Balcony were I spend most my time...
  12. Yup, Vision and Radiance Class has done this on my Sailings for years. Kids hrs in Solarium were due to Rain and/or cooler weather. Havent been on Voyager and Explorer since late 90's threw 2001 and cant remember that far back what we did on those 2
  13. Managed Restaurants and Bars, more places Share/Pool Tips then many realize. Pretty Common among the Small and Large, Companies and Franchises...
  14. Well stated. Hopefully this wont change back to the Pre-CV rules
  15. It is against rules to name Travel Agency linked on this Site. Great Question though for a non-TA Websites
  16. Yes, I do 10-16 nite Cruises 3-4 times a Year min and they will do Sheets more then once a Sailing
  17. Royal Cruises use to change Sheets everyday, like most Hotels only once a week unless requested. Supposed to be save the environment but more to do with $$$ and time. My room attendant's do wipe my Cabin down, clean my bathroom and Vacuum every day and change Towels if not hung up. This all I know. Rare ever seen my Balcony Glass Doors done. Though can't say what you or other's will experience. Just leave a Nanny Cam in your Cabin like I do 😁
  18. Actual conversion(math part) does not show on the site. I have 2 Dozen Cruises that Show 1 or 2 points. Long as it shows 1 or 2 points the Conversion was added in your total. That said I was one the few that actually lost 4 points in the Conversion, even with the extra Fudge ones Royal gave. Nothing can be done about those
  19. Agree. Other's may not mind but with me it's, Location Location Location!
  20. Yup, got Lucky. Also like get my Favorite Cabin! Funny thing is opposite happened yr ago on same Ship/Sailing but for Oct2023 instead of Oct2024. Booked it hr of release and by Morning was $700 cheaper. So nice long Call to get repriced in am. Think problem then wasn't giving any C&A SOLO 340+ Discounts online first nite.
  21. Well, just one of the Kids that paid Full Price
  22. Their Company Their Rules. Some Businesses Kid cutoff is 10yrs old, others 12, 14... Was Single Parent raising 3 young Kids, 2, 4 & 7yr olds when I started taking them On Royal Cruises. Paid Full Price for all their Childhood. Kids Fee? No such thing then and actually during Summer Months and Holidays Passenger 3-4 cost more then 1-2. Now I Cruise SOLO on longer Radiance Class that have almost no Family's with at most 10-20 Kids, to me..Heaven!
