  1. This will probably be easier than you realize as all menus are available on the app, so you can actually look and have some ideas before you even go to dinner. Secondly, there are 3 sections to the menus, 2 of which are the same in all 4 of the dining rooms. All 4 have the same “Classics”, which is the always available does not change. All 4 have the same “Signature “ items, which Is the typical rotational menu that changes each night, but is the same that night in all 4. The only section which is different in the 4 dining rooms is called “Exclusives”; there are 3 starters, 3 mains and 1 dessert for watch dining room. These do not change and will be the same every night of your cruise.
  2. I haven’t yet been on Beyond, but on Apex last October we were able to keep our room very cool at night . . . I am also at that age, so understand! It was so cool when I got up in the morning,I had to raise the temp to enjoy coffee.
  3. My TA has checked with Celebrity. It has been “restored “ on my booking. She spoke with Celebrity and said “they also think it’s a glitch”. I actually got a new email from Celebrity showing it booked, as if it was just done.
  4. Yes, there are hairdryers, and yes, you must hold down the button. My hair is quite short and only takes a few moments to dry mine, so not a problem for me. I have read that others use a heavy duty rubber band to hold the button down.
  5. Our drink package on Beyond next month is showing as canceled as well, but the internet is still there. While I feel this is a website glitch (what a surprise!), I have emailed our TA to confirm. After all, I plan to order my first beverage using that package only 7 weeks from today!😊
  6. It is already included. The only time you’ll have any added beverage charge is if you order a beverage which costs over the limit of your package. Then you’ll pay only the difference plus 20% on the difference. There are certain exclusions, for instance Vitamin Waters, Red Bull, Pelligrino, Evian . . . are all priced under $9.00 but are not available under the Classic Package. Therefore, you would pay the full price for these plus the 20%.
  7. We do not typically enjoy the afternoon canapés or snacks which are delivered, so if/when in Concierge Class (usually only if on M-class for the slightly larger room), we always request cheese, crackers and fruit from the stateroom attendant. This might be a nice snack for your mom if she feels the need for a rest.
  8. Luminae is open for lunch for all suite passengers on embarkation day and all sea days
  9. While I had no expectation that I would see anything different, I looked anyway. It is not there, but I didn’t see a menu that included the Bleu Cheese Soufflé app which is usually on the second chic night along with lobster. On our Beyond cruise in October, both of those items are, indeed, on the menu for the second chic night. I would be surprised if that menu was discontinued on one ship and not others. Perhaps there is a night with an inaccurate menu loaded - but who knows.
  10. No, they still have lobster on the second Chic Night. What cruise/ship/dates are you booked on?
  11. On our Apex cruise last year, a day or two into the cruise, I realized we had not received the typical list of activities. I stopped by the CC desk and picked up one. I know that sometimes things can be overlooked on turnaround day.
  12. We sail on October 26 on Beyond. The app shows everything I have booked and is working seemingly perfectly. Last year on Apex, which had only been sailing a few months, it was much closer to the cruise before anything was shown.
  13. We did an a very similar itinerary on Summit several years ago. On our stop in Sydney (full day in port), our tour included a stop at a recreated Scottish village. All the buildings were original to early Scottish settlers, but many had been relocated to create this settlement. Our provided snack was delicious, fresh shortbread baked there that morning. They even gave me the recipe. I would have enjoyed Iain’s take on that stop!
  14. Did you book directly with Celebrity or through a TA? If a TA, They should be able to accomplish this.
  15. If you like seafood, try the Sea Bass in Cyprus. On the Apex last fall, it was one of the BEST seafood dishes I’ve had . . . Land or sea. I do realize a year later and a different chef, it could be different. also the Tenderloin en Croute in Normandie was outstanding.
  16. You’ll find them all on the app. If your cruise isn’t available yet, find a similar itinerary, and check out dining.
  17. It indeed looks like all suites are currently booked as it says “no longer available “, translated means currently sold out. If you check frequently, you might see a few come back into availability. To find Sunset Verandas, you have to select verandas and they are a subset, along with the IV’s, guarantees, etc. When it doesn’t show as an option, it means they are sold out. Your thought to contact a TA is a good one as they have the ability to find cabins coming available. Good luck!
  18. What cruise are you looking at? There are so few Sunset Verandas, and they are so popular they sell out very, very quickly. Surprised if no suites are showing unless the cruise is fairly soon.
  19. I hope you have success with deleting and reinstalling the app. If you don’t, you can also check in on the website which could help avoid some delays at the port
  20. Almost all the coffees are totally covered by the Classic Package. There are a few of the coffees with alcohol that are a dollar or two over the $9.00 CBP limit; for those you would pay the difference plus 20% on the difference.
  21. Thank you for the time you spent sharing your cruise(s) and photos with us. Safe travels home. If you’re headed this way today, the weather is spectacular! The humidity is so low, there is no heat index to report😊
  22. My understanding of traditional dining is you will be assigned to one of the 4 dining rooms; there will be a card in your stateroom advising you which. Last year on Apex, which has the same MDR format, I understand it was quite easy to move around. We had select, but talked with others on traditional. That said, our cruise was sailing at 40% capacity. I would imagine as ships move closer to capacity, it will take more coordination to move to different dining rooms. My suggestion would be to speak to the Maitre d’ in your assigned dining room and ask if they can facilitate you dining in another dining room; I would think with advance request this could be done. just an FYI, it has been widely reported that you can order from the “exclusives “ section of one of the other dining rooms.
  23. Spa Cafe and Mast Grill - both complimentary Le Grande Bistro - up charge The app should show the hours of any dining venue for Day 1
  24. You can also check the menus on the app a day (or more) in advance. Then you can ask the Luminae Maitre d’ to arrange a table for you in your chosen restaurant.
